Current New Japan
He told the story on The Kevin Steen Show. https://www.bodyslam.net/2018/02/18/michael-elgin-shares-story-with-kevin-owens-about-urinating-on-a-female-wrestling-fan/ I wouldn't say this rises to the level of a criminal offense, but it's still pretty sleazy and not a good look for a company as image-conscious as WWE.

WWE Hall of Fame 2019
I can't really blame someone for blowing up at McAfee. Common sense should tell you that the biggest event of the year of the company that just hired you isn't the time to be fashion-forward.

He also bragged about peeing on a woman without her consent.

WWE Hall of Fame 2019
The story now is that the writer (RD Evans, aka Archibald Peck/Mixed Martial Archie/probably some other crap in Chikara) quit. Apparently, Vince kicked Evans out of Gorilla after hearing Bret say his name, then Evans said that he'd do Vince one better and quit on the spot. Granted, that's not much better.

Your ***** & **** 3/4 Matches
I've decided to update my list to reflect my GME ballot. Matches in bold have seen a rating upgrade from my previous list while ones in italics have seen a downgrade.

MOTYs by year
Top three for 2019 is up with the caveat that I still have yet to see a match from this year that really knocked my socks off. I also made a major revision of my selections for previous years. To wit, I revised my top three for 1974, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2012, 2013, and 2015.

Greatest Match Ever Project
Looks like I'll be the first one to post my officially submitted ballot. I copied all the match names from the thread titles, so any typos, wrong dates, and other errors are in the original. I would add that there are at least seven matches that probably would have made my list if they had been nominated. But it's my own fault for not being involved in the nomination process. The way I see it, if they really were among the 100 greatest matches of all time, someone else would have nominated them.

Wrestlemania 35: The KawadaSmile tribute thread
Honestly, 31 was the last good Mania. At the very least, Lesnar/Reigns was the last Mania match that felt worthy of the biggest show of the year .
-
Wrestlemania 35: The KawadaSmile tribute thread
Is this show seriously still going on? I just got back from out of town.

Greatest Match Ever Project
My ballot is in. I'll post it and my thoughts on putting it together after Wrestlemania.

WWE Hall of Fame 2019
Doug Dellinger must have been responsible for security at the ceremony.

Greatest Match Ever Project
Glad to hear it. There are a couple of matches that would be locks for my ballot but aren't in the nominee section. Here are the threads nominating them. It looks to me like they qualify. https://gweproject.freeforums.net/thread/834/manami-toyota-aja-kong-1994 https://gweproject.freeforums.net/thread/214/njpw-man-eliminaton-match-1987

Greatest Match Ever Project
Is every match with a thread in the nominee folder fair game? There are quite a few matches there that aren't listed on the index of nominees.

WWE Hall of Fame 2019
She might have some heat over comments she once made about how she thought getting involved in wrestling hurt her career. LT would have been a perfect pick for the celebrity wing this year, but he's another one with sexual misconduct issues.

[1995-12-04-AJW-Monday Night Sensation] Manami Toyota vs Dynamite Kansai
I've mostly come around on Manami Toyota. I agree with a lot of the criticisms of her work, but I've come to appreciate what she brings to the table. I think it helps to view her as the Energizer Bunny. She just keeps coming at you, so you can't keep her down for too long unless you kill her dead. At the same time, she doesn't have the firepower to put down larger opponents, so she relies on big counters to gain the advantage. This match is a prime example. She gets cut off fairly quickly whenever she tries to mount some offense in the early going. Her first run of sustained offense comes when she boots Kansai off the turnbuckle and onto the floor. And the hurricanrana counter to the Die Hard Kansai wasn't nearly as smooth as when Eddy and Rey did it, but it was a suitably big match ender.

WWE TV 04/01 - 04/08: The Brazilian Military Dictatorship started in April Fools'...
Is there any reason Ronda and Charlotte shouldn't just double-team Becky to death and then both pin her?
-
Wrestlemania 35 - Voluntary Colonization
I find the name of the Andre Battle Royal interesting because I distinctly remember "battle royal" being on Vince's list of banned phrases at one point. He insisted that they be called over-the-top-rope challenges.

Is Impact* the best wrestling promotion in history? *(Now TNA again, 2024)
Didn't Undertaker kill Muhammad Hassan?
-
Greatest Match Ever Project
I plan on submitting a ballot, although I'm certain that nobody will be happy with the final results. Nobody ever is with these kinds of projects.
-
Wrestlemania 35 - Voluntary Colonization
This way of thinking is outdated, I think. Wrestlemania sells out before the card is even announced, and the Network means that nobody is an individual PPV draw. With WWE's current financial situation, they can easily afford to give everybody a Mania payday regardless of whether or not they appear and then keep the show to a manageable length.

WWE TV 03/25 - 03/31: Angle vs. Joe! Angle vs. Styles! TNA! TNA! TNA!
"If you hate WWE so much, why do you even watch?" "How can you criticize WWE when you don't even watch?" Under this formulation, who has standing to criticize WWE? It seems like you've got them coming and going.

Current Lucha Talk
When reporters asked Velasquez about his recent comments calling wrestling fake, he said that he was talking about that WWE shit and that AAA was real.

The date is wrong, but this could be big.

WWE Hall of Fame 2019
Well, she's a better candidate than Torrie Wilson. And it's not like there's any objective standards for induction.
