  1. For what it's worth, his MLW bio says that he refers "to himself as the 'base god' because of his ability to use his body as a gravitational base to counter his high flying opponents to his advantage." So they are making an effort to maintain kayfabe.
  2. Hey, don't sleep on Bray. After all, he ended up with Jojo. I guess beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. Anyway, I'd say Seth Rollins is the hottest guy in the company. Nobody else can match his combination of tall, dark, and handsome.
  3. "WWE MAKES HUGE CREATIVE HIRE, BIG NAME FROM THE PAST RETURNING" as the clickbait headline is the Internet equivalent of Gene Okerlund hyping the death of a 45-year-old former world champion on the WCW Hotline.
  4. Per Dave on the F4W board, he and Vince got into a shouting match over something (Dave said he heard two different versions of what the issue was and that he'd probably know for sure a little later). Vince sent him home and decided not to bring him back. Arn has apparently been Cena's personal agent for a while, so it'll be interesting to see how Cena looks when he comes back.

    Yeah, what PeteF3 said.
  6. I don't want it to be comedic, though. I want it played completely straight without even a hint that Hogan's accounts of his past don't quite add up. The only comedy should be unintentional.

Bianca Belair's "undefeated is a mindset" gimmick is zero buys. Minimizing and making excuses for losses is a quintessential loser heel trait. That might work for Miz or Curt Hawkins, but not for someone you want the audience to get behind and see as a star.
  8. I'm sure he's not coming back to let everyone know that the treatment didn't work and he'll be dead soon. But if it's good news, why not just say so?
  9. Here's a crazy idea: maybe the dropoff in ratings is because the show is bad. As for Roman, if they just wanted to give good news on his progress, a normal company in a normal industry would do it in a press release. Doing it in a way that creates the impression of ambiguity makes it come across as a ratings ploy.
  10. I want the exact opposite. I Hogan works the producers into believing his tall tales and depicting them in the movie as the unvarnished truth. I want to see Hogan wrestling in front of Elvis in Memphis, beating Antonio Inoki to death in the ring and then reviving him with CPR, partying with John Belushi after Wrestlemania 2, slamming Andre and then visiting him on his deathbed the next day, the whole nine yards.

To be honest, I think they should just call both of them up without resolving the whole DIY saga. They keep adding layers upon layers, and there's no way they'll be able to pay it all off satisfactorily. Better to let people fantasy book their own conclusions than deliver something that will invariably disappoint.

Didn't Sting say he suspected Flair didn't want him to develop beyond a certain level because they had the same match every time they worked together?

The main thing that worries me with Dream is the prospect of him breaking down physically before he hits the big time. He really needs to tone down the bumping.
  14. Not a chance. WWE Films productions are non-union, so good luck getting any genuine A-listers to work on them.
  15. No, it goes way back. Her 2017 Mae Young Classic bio specifically mentions her husband. https://www.wwe.com/article/lacey-evans And an article from around that time mentions that she had been with the guy for 13 years. http://www.espn.com/espnw/culture/feature/article/20432226/lacey-evans-mae-young-classic-real-life-american-hero If they did break up, I can understand WWE not wanting it to get out since it kind of kills her gimmick. Especially if the usual circumstances that lead to wrestler relationships ending are involved.
  16. I could've sworn that she was married. I remember that being a big part of her character in NXT. And she mentioned her husband in a promo last month.
  17. The elephant in the room: a lot of women in wrestling are butterfaces because PED use makes their facial features more mannish. That's why Stacy Keibler was such a knockout. Not only was her body natural, her face was more classically feminine than the others.
  18. I'm surprised that Onoo is on good terms with Bischoff given that he sued WCW for racial discrimination.
  19. Rusev and Lana have a Youtube channel now. More accurately, they've rebranded the channel CJ Perry set up in 2012 to host her acting reels. Everybody seems to agree that scripted promos are a major problem in WWE, but when I see crap like this, I can't really blame them for not trusting the talent with a live mic.
  20. Bryan/Wyatt would suck on every level imaginable, so that's probably what they'll do.
  21. Imagine seeing Lacey in the Rumble and thinking she has any business being in a title match at Wrestlemania.
  22. The specific names mentioned were Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Bray Wyatt, Undertaker, and Kurt Angle. I guess Zayn wouldn't be too bad, but other than that...yikes. Actually, Bryan/Taker has the potential to be an unintentional comedy masterpiece, so that's what I'm hoping for. Also, WWE currently has no idea who Asuka is going to face at Mania, which makes the decision to have her tap out Becky at the Rumble even more inexplicable.
  23. I didn't watch Raw, but I read that the match between Ronda and Ruby Riott tonight had a good amount of Riott Squad interference. The match between the two last night was perfect because it established that Ronda would barely break a sweat against most of the roster in a fair fight. After all, the only reason her matches against Alexa Bliss and Nikki Bella were even remotely competitive was due to liberal outside interference. And the rest of the Riott Squad was indisposed last night after being in the Chamber.
  24. And we still have another PPV to get through before Wrestlemania.
  25. How many times will HHH end up being inducted when all is said and done? Besides DX, Evolution and his solo career are givens. And I wouldn't put it past him to also induct the Authority and the Two-Man Power Trip.
