"Political Hit"
Punk's pod with Cabana came out long after HHH put over Bryan and the Shield though

"Political Hit"
All I know is they were seemingly able to reverse a lot of the negative fan reaction by booking him strong at the end of 2015 and then flushed it all down the toilet at the Royal Rumble. Reigns is DEAD as a babyface. Totally, completely dead. If this isn't a plan to make Reigns the biggest heel and HHH a babyface then I don't know what the fuck they are thinking. If Reigns is a pawn in some kind of backstage power struggle that is sad. I'm not "in the know" so all I can go on is what I see on TV. What I see is a bunch of inconsistent, scattered booking that suggests a bunch of last second changes and no clear vision and as a result we have a huge muddled mess

Dave Meltzer stuff
Pretty sure Bret mentioned in his book something was in the works with Roberts before he left the WWF

WWE Fastlane
Loved the main event. Surely they have to turn Reigns heel, because I don't think there is any chance he's going to get babyface heat anytime soon

has 1997 vince finally been proven right? and what does that mean for the business?
Words. i guess i shouldn't be surprised that history buffs wouldn't be so interested in understanding the dynamics of the present, but i think there's just so much there and hardly anyone in this fandom is bringing it up. seems like this isn't the forum to do it, though, which is a shame to me because there could be so much potential given the knowledge you guys have. maybe i should do a blog post about this topic and link it in that subforum? Your content is interesting and it has nothing to do with us old dudes not caring about the "new reality". I think the problem is your blatant disregard for capital letters

Memphis podcast idea
"Memphis Heat" is actually a really, really awesome documentary on Memphis wrestling that everyone should check out
-
Memphis podcast idea
If I had the time I'd totally be up for it because I love Memphis from that era. Great idea for a pod

Don't forget about Vickie Guerrero at her peak. That was real heat

A " total is greater than the sum of his parts" wrestlers
In the context of old, slow-working and often non-athletic looking wrestlers in 70s NYC, I think Bob came off as a major breath of fresh air for a lot of fans. And he was booked like a beast

Yeah, totally

Best YouTube & Dailymotion Channels
For anyone wondering why the full 70s and 80s MSG and Cap Centre cards from OldSkool's YouTube channel dried up it was because WWE shut him down. He messaged me on YouTube and says he wants to join PWO.

Titus' Suspension
You would think there has to be more to it than just what happened in the footage
-
Titus' Suspension
So what's the deal with Titus O'Neil being suspended for 90 days and his possibly hostile interaction with Vince at the last Raw that was caught on tape?

The Islanders
I liked those matches too, but did you watch the 9/21 MSG match between the teams? I felt that was the best one. Really liked the October Philly match between the teams too. Great Martel face in peril in that one

The Worst Gimmick Match Concept Ever
Dumb? Yes. Awesome? Yes.

Bret Hart vs Steve Austin
I think Bret dropping the strap to Austin at Mania, or at least losing to him there, was a rough plan at one point
-
Andre the Giant
No, that supposedly happened in a match between the two of them in Philly around the same time
-
Mystery Titans Theatre
That's a cool find because it's a friggen worked judo match in 1978 MSG, and also because it is from a card that was untelevised in the States. The only matches to make tape were filmed for Japanese TV, with a 6-man between Andre/Mascaras/Dusty vs Patera/Fuji/Tanaka being the other one I've seen

Yep, we are so damn polite, don't you know?

Sunny Side Up: In Through the Backdoor
As long as Parv and Pete give star ratings to her different sex scenes I'm on board

Andre the Giant
Totally agree that Backlund-era WWF Andre has a ton of boring as hell matches. He's basically early- 90s Undertaker, working slow against a revolving door of monsters. He was clearly breaking down physically at this time, which makes a difference. His one standout match from the time is a bloody brawl with Hogan from Philly, 3/21/81
