I think the max bet for WWE matches is around $50 because insiders could clean up otherwise

Pretty sure Sting is done

RIP Mongolian Stomper
Legend in Stampede as well as Archie "The Stomper" Gouldie. Probably the top heel in the history of the territory

Royal Rumble 2016
Is HHH really booked to win this or are fans just being paranoid and fearing the worst?
-
WrestleMania 32
Exactly. He may be a "great heel" but does anybody seriously think the fans want to boo him? Ever? See Austin, Steve 2001

Where does current WWE rank in the history of the WWE/F?
Yeah, I think 09 and 10 was much worse than now, at least as far as Raw is concerned. You also didn't have the alternative of NXT (not counting the early days of that show, but I guess there was ECW and good matches on Superstars, although I missed that stuff) and the general feeling that indy darlings could get pushed at that time. It was a nadir in company history that I'd put up with 95 IMO

JvK reviews pimped matches from late 90s-10s
Enjoy your cultural relevance while you can, as you slide towards 40 and begin to slowly lose touch with all that is hip and modern

Best matches not available online
Philly Bruno vs Larry matches are awesome. The legend goes that Crazy James still haunts certain places online, so you may be able to acquire his comps with a little searching

Lawler vs Dundee was on youtube but it's now blocked by WWE. How long have they had rights to Memphis footage? That's news to me

"Anti-workrate"
Ha...Parv you pretty much nailed it. In fact, Matt and I had a conversation on Facebook a few minutes ago where we pretty much explained ourselves exactly the same way. Yes, I'm "anti-workrate" in the sense that I feel that watching great matches as the be-all-and-end-all to be limiting. For me, so much greatness in wrestling comes from stupid bullshit like the TNT show or insane Kal Rudman commentary. I love professional wrestling, everything and anything that goes with it

What are we voting on?
I find it odd that you're arguing for a broader concept of the project when you have, by your own admission, made little effort to broaden your horizons beyond U.S./Canada. Yeah I knew someone would call me out for that the second I posted it. What can I say, I'm both anti-workrate centric and hopelessly pro US/Canadian wrestling. I'm probably not qualified to vote in a project such as this, but since I can, I will

What are we voting on?
I'm totally with brain. I understand Greatest Wrestler Ever sounds a lot better than Greatest Worker Ever or Greatest In-ring Ever, but discounting promos, angles, historical importance, even drawing power, pretty much prevents this list from determining the greatest wrestler ever. I'm going to make a list. It's not going to include many non-American/Canadian workers, and I'm not trying to fill any gaps, watch a ton of footage of wrestlers I haven't seen, or try and come up with a formula for ranking wrestlers. Hopefully by 2026 we are, as a group, maybe a bit more open to looking at the overall package.

Are most people only watching free footage?
I'm a mix of streaming, torrents and comps. Whatever the situation dictates. First option is look for it online, last is buying a comp. Usually find what I need before going the latter route

WWE TV January 11 to 17
Wasn't two years in a row Edit: which I thought was the original point. Never mind

Bruno Sammartino
There are plenty of 70s Bruno blow off matches on tape. Vs Arion, Waldo Von Erich, Volkoff, Patera, Koloff, Hansen. Not from the 60s of course. Plenty of non-blow off MSG footage of Bruno as well. And he didn't really wrestle on Saturday TV much

Mystery Titans Theatre
"I think you guys are doing the best job you possibly can with the material, spoofing it while still covering the historical elements where needed. Will give it a listen if you want your work picked apart, but honestly this was a blast to listen to from beginning to end and I really enjoyed it. I'd like a Hulkamania era house show or two covered." Thanks man. These are a blast to do and we want them to be entertaining to listen to. I'm sure we'll do some Hogan era shows, since there are a ton of them with a ton of God awful wrestling. We have a few ideas for future shows that we think will be fun
