  1. Huge part of my early fandom. My dad did tape them for me, so Sunday morning was breakfast and SNME
  2. I really enjoyed the book as well. My only complaint with Hornbaker is that his histories always become thin on the details after the 1960s, and I'm a huge fan of 70s wrestling. But his info on everything before then is fantastic
  3. 91 Battlebowl was actually a Dusty idea after Herd was gone. Not sure the reasoning of the tournaments
  4. Ricky Jackson replied to TravJ1979's topic in WWE
I agree. Cena eliminating Taker, or even vice versa, is a simple and effective way to set up a match. It doesn't have to be complicated
  5. He actually worked as a heel manager during the dying days of the Vancouver territory in the late 80s when he was only 16. And called Stampede in 1999-2000 during their last real significant revival, as has been mentioned
  6. Ricky Jackson replied to goodhelmet's topic in WWE
Yeah, they need to get him to the main event without going the Rumble route this year
  7. How the fuck have I not seen Mike Saxon before! Incredible
  8. All I know is that being a great pro wrestler is about more than just having the most great matches
  9. Your gruff old wrestling fan gimmick is obnoxious
  10. I'll stick to mostly talking about 70s and 80s wrestling nobody gives a shit about. Trying to discuss workrate darlings isn't my style
  11. The pink seemed to work for him just fine
  12. I guess I'm Mila Kunis..clearly the hottest Titan 😆
  13. If it's the former, a new Titans (Piper tribute) dropped two days ago
  14. It was also the millionth time a friend had turned on Hogan, so that didn't make it feel very shocking or important
  15. The melodramatic story of his incarceration and impending release reported by serious as a heart attack Mean Gene week after week on TV and the in-ring debate with Heenan that ends with Patera wrapping Heenan's own belt around his neck, wrenching him with it and giving him whiplash were by far the high points of this run. I haven't re-watched any matches he had from this time, but don't think I'm missing anything
  16. I'm trying, but the image entered my mind the second I read it. 😝
  17. You just articulated that point about Savage way better than I did on Steven's Makin a Case pod a few weeks back
  18. Farmer did the drawing research, and yes Flair was #2, based on how many cards he main evented on shows that drew 10k + fans
  19. My list will factor in everything I consider makes a pro wrestler great. In ring and otherwise
  20. http://placetobenation.com/titans-of-wrestling-55-roddy-piper-tribute-part-1/ Titans of Wrestling returns with part 1 of a special epic two-part look at the career of pro wrestling legend "Rowdy"Roddy Piper! 21. Hey, I'm going on 10 minutes and that was the impression I got
  22. My "masturbatory tripe" comment was a bit much, so I apologize. To each their own. I'm just not a fan of pods that put hyping themselves over the content. But what do I know, I only listened to the first 10 minutes
  23. Judy, if you don't like Titans, that's cool. I don't like your favorite pod.
  24. Yeah, and Philly, Boston, Toronto...so much potential house show footage to draw from
