Saturday Night's Main Event Appreciation
Huge part of my early fandom. My dad did tape them for me, so Sunday morning was breakfast and SNME

Capitol Revolution by Tim Hornbaker
I really enjoyed the book as well. My only complaint with Hornbaker is that his histories always become thin on the details after the 1960s, and I'm a huge fan of 70s wrestling. But his info on everything before then is fantastic

Starrcade during the Jim Herd era
91 Battlebowl was actually a Dusty idea after Herd was gone. Not sure the reasoning of the tournaments

WrestleMania 32
I agree. Cena eliminating Taker, or even vice versa, is a simple and effective way to set up a match. It doesn't have to be complicated

Mauro Ranallo...
He actually worked as a heel manager during the dying days of the Vancouver territory in the late 80s when he was only 16. And called Stampede in 1999-2000 during their last real significant revival, as has been mentioned

TLC 2015
Yeah, they need to get him to the main event without going the Rumble route this year

Animated GIF thread

Makin a Case for Randy Savage as the Greatest Wrestler Ever
All I know is that being a great pro wrestler is about more than just having the most great matches

Worst Ring Attire?
Your gruff old wrestling fan gimmick is obnoxious

Makin a Case for Randy Savage as the Greatest Wrestler Ever
I'll stick to mostly talking about 70s and 80s wrestling nobody gives a shit about. Trying to discuss workrate darlings isn't my style

Worst Ring Attire?
The pink seemed to work for him just fine

Most Understandable Heel Turns
It was also the millionth time a friend had turned on Hogan, so that didn't make it feel very shocking or important

Ken Patera 87-88 WWF run
The melodramatic story of his incarceration and impending release reported by serious as a heart attack Mean Gene week after week on TV and the in-ring debate with Heenan that ends with Patera wrapping Heenan's own belt around his neck, wrenching him with it and giving him whiplash were by far the high points of this run. I haven't re-watched any matches he had from this time, but don't think I'm missing anything

WWE TV 12/7 - 12/13
I'm trying, but the image entered my mind the second I read it. 😝

What are we voting on?
You just articulated that point about Savage way better than I did on Steven's Makin a Case pod a few weeks back
-
What are we voting on?
Farmer did the drawing research, and yes Flair was #2, based on how many cards he main evented on shows that drew 10k + fans
-
What are we voting on?
My list will factor in everything I consider makes a pro wrestler great. In ring and otherwise

The Lapsed Fan Starrcade
Hey, I'm going on 10 minutes and that was the impression I got
-
The Lapsed Fan Starrcade
My "masturbatory tripe" comment was a bit much, so I apologize. To each their own. I'm just not a fan of pods that put hyping themselves over the content. But what do I know, I only listened to the first 10 minutes
-
The Lapsed Fan Starrcade
Judy, if you don't like Titans, that's cool. I don't like your favorite pod.

The Lapsed Fan Starrcade
