Possible Kevin Dunn sighting
I know we're all freakin' nerds around here, but I really hope you've seen that recently and don't actually remember that obscure fact from almost 20 years ago

Dory Jr. & Terry Funk
Parv summed it up well, this is one of the greatest tag teams ever. Totally underrated, because their singles career overshadows their tag run and because the bulk of their big matches happened outside of the USA.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
RIP Ricki Starr http://www.f4wonline.com/more/more-top-stories/118-daily-updates/39202-legendary-ballet-dancer-turned-wrestler-ricki-starr-passes-away Interesting and unique performer, and I'd like to some day research him more. Not a ton of footage out there, but here is a match from the Chicago Archives:

Here's the Meltzer bio. Unfortunately it's full of those weird symbols due to some glitch or whatever: http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?showtopic=98264

2014 Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame thread
I don't think Stu received a dime from Vince when he "sold" him the territory in 84. Vince essentially gave him Stampede back a year later when he decided he wasn't going to pay him anything. He still had TV and could run shows in Calgary and other towns anyway

Harley Race
But then we would be offending all the weak people. Can't have that in 2014

Randy Savage
For me his greatness is perfectly captured in a match he had against Rick McGraw, June 1985 at MSG. He had already debuted on TV, but this was his first appearance at the most hallowed arena in wrestling. Within minutes he is so over as a heel that a fan throws a drink at him. He has the New York crowd that had never seen him before in the palm of his hand from start to finish. Amazing to watch.

Bruno Sammartino
Bruno was a great pro wrestler. I would compare him to John Wayne. Amazing charisma, amazing presence, and a great performer with a very strong emotional connection with his audience. But you won't find him on top 10 lists because he doesn't wow the critics with his versatility (workrate)

50's & 60's "Wrestling from Chicago" footage
If you guys think this is bad, you better stay away from old Warner Brothers cartoons (not to mention endless classic movies and TV shows) lest you faint And Davis rules

So ... Joshi (As promised)
I'll try to get started on the first batch of matches this week and offer my comments

Roddy Piper
See, I would take prime Piper over, say, prime Misawa any day of the week. But I thought something like Strongbow vs Fuji from 73 was a great match, so what do I know. Hmmm, speaking of Strongbow....

Your Working Number 1!
Savage is my #1. Flair probably #2, and then the list gets far less "serious" after that

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
Based on comments made by Russ Davis during the match, I'm going to guess that the Thesz-Gagne match from the Chicago footage is from 1/25/52. Not 100% sure. Wrestlingdata is far from being complete of course, but they list two Chicago Thesz-Gagne matches from the time period, both Broadways - 1/25/52 and 12/12/52. Davis on commentary implies this is the first time they have wrestled in Chicago, so that would suggest the former. Again, just a guess. Great match BTW

Titans Xtra
Great research Steve! I never knew the story of the MSG "brand" being used in other cities
