Looks like the Memphis tribute is for YouTube only Oh, but the legends are at ringside and MJF gave the RnRs the double bird

Loved the women's match with everyone in the division being involved and multiple stories being told at once. Great stuff

Meanwhile in the PIP Hangman Page is becoming one of the biggest babyfaces in wrestling by walking through the crowd and being a beer drinking man of the people

Pretty good card on paper, plus a Memphis tribute. If the tribute makes TV you have to assume some wild angle takes place to pay homage

I know they dont pay the NXT crew very well but it's crazy Adam Cole has to also work part time as a ref on Power shows

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
Bret Hart in the 80s, when he wasn't exactly a major part of the WWF cast of characters, was involved in quite a few tag and singles matches that started with the crowd not giving a shit and ended with them popping for everything and totally into match

WWE TV 1/6/20-1/12/20: At least 2019 is finally over
Yeah, the main reason I canceled is because I'm going to be without wi fi/traveling for most of the next couple months and wont have a chance to watch anything. I'll resubscribe when things get settled, but mostly just to watch WCCW for World Cast. I stopped watching NXT a while back outside of pimped stuff and barely watched anything main roster related after Mania, but the old school content is worth it

WWE TV 12/23 - 12/29 Holiday Season is Here
Yeah, the problem is bad main roster scripts, not the Profits. They were fine in NXT

AEW Dynamite - January 1, 2020
I looked it up earlier. Baba vs Bruno in early 64 did a little less than 15k in old MSG, about 3-4k shy of a sellout. What is really impressive is Baba wrestled Bruno for the WWWF title, Thesz in (I think) Detroit for the NWA title and Blassie for the WWA title (arguably the 2nd most important belt in wrestling at the time) all in the same month

I thought the whole deal at the end made Aldis a total asshole heel, for denying everyone, and most importantly Tim Storm, a match they wanted, and then saying he basically just announced he would be in the TV tourney as a way to amuse himself. Of course he was just backing out because he wanted no piece of Storm. Have patience, they will pay off Aldis/Storm down the line. That's one of the best things with NWA, they dont rush things. The eventual Aldis vs Storm match will mean so much more if they are kept apart for a while longer. Then it will epic, not a 6:05 TV match

I thought Darby vs Cody was great. 2 for 2 with this matchup. Women's match is red hot too

Finally caught up with everything today. Into the Fire was good. The last two matches delivered, and the Scurll surprise was cool if not a little too WWE-esque with the "music hits and new guy confronts the champ" trope, but the rest of the show was pretty forgettable. I'm digging season 2 so far. The Kamille mystery was revealed to be Aldis playing mind games with everyone, which is fine. Tim Storm is amazing. What a great promo he cut on the last ep! The show has its own idiosyncratic way of doing things that I totally get being frustrating for some fans, such as most shows being a bunch of random segments that bleed into each other, and no great concern with delivering modern workrate "great matches", for example. It's far from perfect but it's good enough to entertain me for an hour a week
