  1. The first Omega vs Okada match outside of Japan sounds like a good main event
  2. Ricky Jackson replied to Woof's topic in WWE
God damn what a freakin tag title match on NXT tonight
  3. Episode 39 https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/world-cast-39 December 4, 1982 (WCCW 50) The boys look at a, shall we say, unique episode of WCCW this week, including... -The Spoiler back in town! But whose side is he on? -Roberto Renesto back in town....*crickets* -MIDGETS!!!!!! -Wait for it...A Von Erich family duck hunting trip! -Good Ol' Al taking to the skies! -King Kong Bundy introducing Devastation Inc.! -....and, to ruin the buzz, a turd of a main event World Cast: Brian Adidas sucks
  4. On my phone I'm getting ads like "meet your 40+ match" and for a site that makes wrestling belts for corporate achievements
  5. It's not on New Japan World in the States because it aired live on AXS. I assume it will be available later on but no idea how soon
  6. David Manning took ref's getting physical with wrestlers to its most ridiculous extreme in 1980s World Class. Horrible, horrible stuff, where he's actually feuding with wrestlers
  7. Episode 38 https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/world-cast-38 November 27, 1982 (WCCW 49) The boys look at a solid offering from the territory this week, featuring... -Frank Dusek: big fan of the Minnesota North Stars -Jay Saldi and Bill Mercer: The Greatest Double Turn since Austin/ Hart 15 years later ~ A Special Analysis from the New Breed -Tim Brooks is a crazy, hobo drifter and we love it -David vs Kabuki in a kick ass main event World Cast: This week was a good week
  8. Eh, it's pretty much been an NXT championship since right after the original tourney
  9. Episode 37 November 20, 1982 (WCCW 48) As the clock ticks down closer and closer to Christmas Star Wars, with Kerry Von Erich finally getting a rematch with Ric Flair for the NWA title, the territory offers up a typical mixed bag. At least each segment improved on the last ... -Bugsy and Good Ol' Al vs The Checkmate/ Bill Irwin...eh -David vs Destroyer #2...work on that finisher, David -Freebirds vs Kabuki/Dragon...getting better -BUNDY BARES ALL...Hilarious exposé -Kerry vs Killer Tim Brooks...Fun, gritty little match World Cast: We haven't thrown in the towel yet!
  10. Night 2 was awesome as well. I could be wrong, but I think the first night didn't sell out and the crowd was a bit subdued. The crowd for night 2 was red hot, doing soccer chants and popping huge for the finishes of the tag title match and the main event. Pete Dunne comes off as one of the biggest stars in wrestling
  11. Watched night 1 and loved it. Tourney was well-booked, and top to bottom it was a great show. Watching night 2 in a couple hours. Should be a blast
  12. I too do not know what a "shoutbox" is
  13. Episode 36 https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/world-cast-36 November 13, 1982 (WCCW 47) The Freebirds continue to impress both the boys and the fans in 1982, but Dear God, this TV show is in a coma otherwise... -Kabuki AGAIN in a handicap match (at least the Samoan provides some laughs with multiple botches) -Is Destroyer #1 THE Destroyer...or is Kelly putting way too much thought into this -THAT match between The Checkmate and Bugsy -And, the piece de resistance, Fritz finally provides evidence of the bounty on Kerry (but something is a little fishy about the name on the check...) World Cast: We watch this dreck so you don't have to
  14. Ricky Jackson replied to Woof's topic in WWE
It's my fault for clicking on it, but you could have added "UK tournament spoilers" maybe?
  15. Damn good-looking belt though
  16. Only match I watched from the show. Only one I cared about because Rousey feels real and, even though this is only her second televised match, her matches feel different and more important than anything else. Loved the match. Rousey is great. Having her chase the title is the right call. Can't wait for her next match
  17. For some reason I don't think this will be a quickie like Taker vs Cena
  18. Great fucking show
  19. Yeah, a week later
  20. https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/mount-olympus-late-spring-2018-holy-grails Kelly and Pete get together (remarkably, for the first time without anyone else) and have an epic chat about Holy Grail wrestling footage! All kinds of wrestling legends and classic territories are discussed... -Mid South and JYD -Georgia greats and the Omni -Various MSG matches, including the famous 1957 riot -Houston legends -Canadian Grails, from Calgary, Toronto and Montreal -Hogan vs Lawler in Memphis and Rose vs Andre in Portland -Mr. Fuji vs Bobby Heenan ??? -And many more Fans of wrestling history, as always, look no further than Mount Olympus!
  21. Ricky Jackson replied to Woof's topic in WWE
Dunne vs O'Reilly last night was really good with a great atmosphere
  22. June 2018 match discussion folder please admins
  23. Yeah, the relationship between WWE and MSG hasn't been like the glory days for quite some time. I don't think there is any kind of exclusivity privilege these days
