World Cast: A WCCW Review
Episode 27 https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/world-cast-27 September 11, 1982 (WCCW 38) CAN THE FREEBIRDS JUST GET HERE AND HEAT THIS TOWN THE F*CK UP, PLEASE?!?!? The boys are getting a little weary of the same old, same old. I mean, Brian Adidas vs Roberto Renesto sucks hard. The Superfly is one of the least menacing heels ever. Kabuki is getting stale. Bundy is too, kinda. Jay Saldi. Dear God, Jay Saldi. On the plus side, there is plenty of talk about the hottest wrestling star on the planet, Hulk Hogan, and his brother, Dizzy, is coming to the territory...maybe. The main event is Bundy vs David, and it's alright. We just need some hope World Cast: We can make it!

Maybe he's related to another heavy set fan with a liking for front row seats from Philly...

Freddie Blassie focusing on the same obese fan at ringside and running him down week after week during his ringside promo while Vince cracks up is awesome

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
In the end, most of the major territories did themselves in through a combination of different factors. The pre 1986 WWF TV product wasn't really that inferior compared to a lot of places, like the AWA for example. Plus, the the quality of the Saturday TV wasn't a major factor in their success. What really mattered was WWF had the mainstream hype no other territory could match. Remember they were on MTV, and SNME debuted on NBC in May 1985. Hulk Hogan was on the cover of SI right after Mania. Still, it was a gradual process, and the South wasn't a much of a draw for them until the Austin years of the late 90s

No, Vince would just go silent sometimes. More so on the MSG shows than the TV, and it was more an issue when he was young and relatively inexperienced

No Dom DeNucci in those initial classes sucks, but he was likely tainted through association with Bruno and now the time has passed

WWE's "Unseen Matches" DVD
I think that looks like an interesting list and will probably include a lot of good stuff. Hopefully no riots due to the mythical Savage vs Taker match yet again failing to materialize Lol

I think the belt on the right was worn by Pedro Morales in 70/71 when he returned to the WWWF and just before he defeated Koloff for the WWWF belt (Pedro came to the ring with the US title against Koloff I believe). The other was Rogers US belt that became the first WWWF title in 1963 after he lost the NWA belt to Thesz

It's confusing, but as far as I know there wasn't a physical WWWF US title, and Bobo never defended it. He was just billed as US champ for years, and he was the Detroit US champ off and on for years at the same time

Man, I wonder if Iron Sheik had to go by Great Hussein Arab in WWF because Arion was the billed as the Iron Greek. I've always wondered why he used a different name there and was Sheik everywhere else
