  1. I couldn't of said it sarcastically any better
  2. Ricky Jackson replied to Strummer's topic in WWE
He's basically spelled it out that they don't like each other for whatever reason
  3. Technical difficulties prevented us from recording last night. Hopefully get it done in the next few days
  4. Ricky Jackson replied to Strummer's topic in WWE
Stan Stasiak was from Quebec but not Montreal

You're a grown man and a smart fan who is surprised and elated by wrestling booking. Savor the moment. Drink it in, man
  6. Would love to see the Heenan match too because it was the Brain's last match. It was from Nassau Coliseum but I don't think it was taped
  7. I think 1992
  8. We watched the Bruno match for the Pro Wrestling Super Show last year. 2 part Fuji spotlight http://placetobenation.com/pro-wrestling-super-show-49-the-wrestler-mr-fuji/ http://placetobenation.com/pro-wrestling-super-show-50-mr-fuji-the-manager/
  9. He's not a hall of famer but he did have a pretty solid career as a wrestler. From the late 60s until around 1982 he was a high midcarder/main eventer in Portland, New York, San Francisco, LA, and the South. A decade off and on as a WWF tag champ and a year long reign with the US title in San Fran in 76-77 among other accomplishments
  10. Loved Fuji. Always brought a smile to my face
  11. We're going to be recording on Tuesday, so if you haven't voted yet please do!
  12. Watch this Angels vs Girls match and let us know what you think. We both loved it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-T2uq8W6LY&list=PLV6RCTo_Cd0DxIZcvvV8-Je015bl3aKxw&index=2
  13. http://placetobenation.com/tag-teams-back-again-episode-19-sayonara/ Kelly and Marty continue their journey through 1988 WWF, with stops at Wrestlemania IV, MSG, Boston Garden and the Spectrum, along the way taking time to bid adieu to some of their favorite tag teams. Bonus mini Summerslam/NXT review at the beginning! (Desperate attempt at relevancy) Tonight we examine: Jumping Bomb Angels vs Glamour Girls 3/5 Boston Bulldogs/Koko B. Ware vs Islanders/Heenan 3/27 Wrestlemania IV Strike Force vs Demolition 3/27 Wrestlemania IV Strike Force vs Demolition 4/25 MSG Bullldogs/Ware vs "Islanders"/Heenan 5/21 Spectrum Demolition vs Strike Force 6/1 Oakland Strike Force/Ultimate Warrior vs Demolition/Mr. Fuji 6/4 Boston
  14. I sure as hell hope they would turn on it
  15. My GWE list, and my philosophy on wrestling in general, reflects the belief that Great Matches are only one piece of what makes a wrestler and wrestling great
  16. What is that supposed to lead to exactly?
  17. That's fucking pro wrestling right there
  18. http://placetobenation.com/titans-of-wrestling-66-the-stampede-territory-part-3/ Dan Kroffat against Tor Kamata in perhaps the first ever ladder match, circa 1972 Kelly and Travis continue their tribute to Stampede Wrestling, this time looking at various different names integral to the promotion's success from the 50s through the 80s. Ski Hi Lee, Dave Ruhl, Sweet Daddy Siki, and Dan Kroffat are all given thorough examination. The focus for the last 1/4 of the show turns to the Dynamite Kid and his legacy in Calgary and elsewhere, including reviews of some of his choice Stampede action. This is your one stop location for all things Stampede Wrestling folks! *Apologies for the quality of Kelly's audio Ski Hi Lee Dave Ruhl Sweet Daddy Siki
  19. Yeah I only remember tons of praise for Jericho at the time
  20. Ricky Jackson replied to FMKK's topic in WWE
The show was too long, mostly heatless outside of Cena vs Styles and nothing really grabbed me like Takeover or Battleground from last month
  21. Going back to Verne and expanding to California, he made a move in the late 60s to try and secure LA, he even ran shows at the Great Western Forum, but LaBelle rejoined the NWA and ran loaded shows in opposition. Then in the early 80s, Verne moved into SF after Shire folded, but didn't find much success I believe
  22. Having just watched it I realize why it hasn't been pimped. Pretty by-the-numbers stuff. Interesting that the Toronto match the next day was so different
  23. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4hDFIp3s2Y Has anyone seen the Savage vs Steamboat match from this show that was just uploaded? I think their epic Toronto match was the next day. Can't say I recall anyone ever talking about this one
  24. Ricky Jackson posted a topic in WWE
I don't even watch Raw or Smackdown but I keep creating these threads for some reason... Go home Raw before Summerslam
  25. Not saying I agree with it, but damn that last part was beautiful Parv
