  1. Awesome match everyone should see http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xwci8e_andre-the-giant-vs-chuck-wepner_sport
  2. Looking online, I believe you're right. The Gino Marella match aired on that date, but I think the other matches were from a different taping
  3. There are a few random bits not released by WWE that have been out there over the years, like a Stomper vs Dan Kroffat match from 73, but yeah very little pre-1978
  4. Anyone know why this seems to be the only existing footage of Stampede Wrestling from the first nearly 20 years of the TV show? I'm going to be doing a podcast mini-series shortly on the history of Stampede and I'm curious how this seemingly random show survived and nothing else did from this era, or at least nothing has surfaced. Any help would be greatly appreciated
  5. The Mystery Titans of Andre vs Wepner match is on Dailymotion. Tried multiple times to get Ali vs Inoki up to no avail. Titans TV youtube is restricted to 15 minute videos and Dailymotion sucks for uploads. The audio of Johnny and I watching Ali vs Inoki is on the PWO-PTBN feed
  6. Awesome match! Both guys look great in probably the second best boxer vs wrestler match on tape (apologies to Milo Savage vs Gene LeBelle )
  7. Ricky Jackson replied to Woof's topic in WWE
A Rick Martel comeback would be insane! I really loved the closing segment on the latest show where they got over 5 tag teams in about 15 minutes and everyone looked good. Also loved the Aries promo. The Nak sit down interview didn't really do him any favors though, that should have been redone
  8. Meltzer's write up of the 40th anniversary of the fight in this week's Observer is outstanding and clarifies a lot of what Johnny and I discussed in regards to the build and execution of the whole thing
  9. Groovy. I wonder how many stayed for the Ali/Inoki fight

  11. Here's the audio of Johnny and I watching Ali vs Inoki. Not sure if I'll get the videos to upload, between being on 6 months probation with restrictions on Youtube and Dailymotion being unreliable. Because the match is largely a bunch of nothing, we riffed on a bunch of random stuff and had a great time. Hopefully it works without the visual component. Those with a copy of the fight can sync up and watch at home, like playing Dark Side of the Moon over Wizard of OZ or something. https://soundcloud.com/jerryvonkramer/ali-vs-inoki
  12. Uploading of Ali vs Inoki videos to Dailymotion has proved problematic. This may be released as Mystery Titans Radio instead. We'll see what tomorrow brings

Loved the No Way Jose and Aries angle on the latest show. Good old school start to a feud

  15. Playlist of Monsoon angle, matches with Wolfe and Jay, and Tonight Show segment (watch this!) https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLV6RCTo_Cd0DFD2RtfoizCwTgRWXDNooM
  16. Mystery Titans Theatre: Andre the Giant vs Chuck Wepner, Shea Stadium, June 25, 1976 http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4ieyr6 This is seriously a really awesome match I'm working on getting Ali vs Inoki finished. I'll have to put it up in 4 parts because that's how Dailymotion rolls
  17. http://placetobenation.com/titans-of-wrestling-62-muhammad-ali-vs-antonio-inoki/ As part of the first Titans-Two-In-One, Kelly and Johnny discuss the road to the infamous boxer vs wrestler match between Muhammad Ali and Antonio Inoki from June 25 (26 in Japan), 1976! Among the fantastic footage discussed: -Muhammad Ali/Gorilla Monsoon angle, June 1 (aired June 5), 1976 Philadelphia Arena -Muhammad Ali vs Buddy Wolfe, June 12 ABC Wide World of Sports -Muhammad Ali vs "Sodbuster" Kenny Jay, June 12 International Amphitheater, Chicago -Muhammad Ali and Freddie Blassie on the Tonight Show, hosted by McLean Stevenson, June 14 -Pre-fight footage from Japanese TV And then, exclusively on Dailymotion (because this is something YouTube doesn't want you to see!), Mystery Titans Theatre has Kelly and Johnny look at, not only all 15, um, interesting rounds of Ali vs Inoki, but also the forgotten classic (seriously!) between Andre the Giant and heavyweight boxer Chuck Wepner from Shea Stadium. So listen to the road to the fight discussion on Titans #62, then watch the fights on Dailymotion, and finally come back to the pod as Kelly and Johnny wrap things up and make some important announcements regarding future podcasts. Titans-Two-In-One! Because JUST a podcast on one of the worst matches of all time is not enough!
  18. Recorded tonight. Will post soon. Book looks great
  19. I don't think anyone here who was "ruthlessly" attacked by these clowns "took offense" to the criticism because they don't listen to this show to begin with. The chatter subsided because Judy was shown the door for being a dumbass and nobody else cares enough to pimp this crap, BrianB excluded
  20. Yeah, that's crazy. Curse of the Bambino was THE curse. That was a way way bigger deal
  21. Dude, you keep posting the wrong link
  22. Balor is likely putting over Nak and then joining the main roster, perhaps even for the draft show. Just because Bayley hasn't been featured on TV much since Dallas doesn't mean she's going nowhere. She was just in the background so they could do a match between Asuka and Jax. To me it's obvious that she will face Asuka at the Summerslam weekend show and may even regain the strap
  23. Or not
  24. In the latest Observer Meltzer makes it sound like Angle will be back in some form soon enough
