Vince McMahon - Reallly a "Genius"?
Couple of pages worth. Anyway, I don't see how it matters to the general argument of whether Vince is a genius or not. He could've won the company in a game of cards with Arnold Skaaland, raised the cash by whoring himself out to 1000 chicks for 100 bucks, or 100 fat chicks for 1000 bucks (fat chicks need lovin' too, but they have to pay). Either way, I really don't see it having any bearing. I'd also probably take the word of a lying carny wrestling promoter over ANY lawyer, but that's just me.

Vince McMahon - Reallly a "Genius"?
So now we're stuck on how he acquired the company? I don't see how that really builds a case to either side of the argument, but don't want to give the impression I give a shit either way.

Vince McMahon - Reallly a "Genius"?
I need to arrange a deal where I "buy" a company using that same company's future revenue as the source of payment. Pretty sweet deal! Pretty sweet yes, almost "genius"!

Miley Cyrus
Out of everyone named "Cyrus", the only thing approaching a decent haircut on any of them is Don Callis.

I invented the Stone Cold character or I was doing "Stone Cold" before Stone Cold was Stone Cold

Vince McMahon - Reallly a "Genius"?
People calling Vince a "genius" tends to coincide with the boom periods most of the time. There are parallels between Vince being a genius and being a dumbass just like there were with Al Davis who seemed to alternate between "genius" and "he's crazy and has totally lost it" depending on the Raiders' record in a given season (and I am NOT trying to make a comparison between those two and launch a football debate, though Dan Marino would have fit like a glove in Pittsburgh). Vince "lost it" in 94-95 or thereabouts, but was back to being a brilliant genius again by 1998 before he lost it around 2002 or whatever. I'd say Vince is very sharp and perhaps a "genius" in the wrestling realm. Hell I don't know.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
Stole this from another board. Jim Neidhart is a little tweaked out, to put it mildly:

Does anyone figure Flair for an eventual suicide?

I didn't take anything as an attack or anything negative in the least. I admire those who can lay things out clearly and explain it.

Greatest performances in ad-hoc last-minute-change situations
Tully's last date in WWF was November 1, so they had 3 weeks to plan that match out. Whatever the case, one of my favorite Series matches ever, aside from the two 20-man tag matches.

Bock had certain free agent privileges as AWA Champion because Verne trusted him completely. With the AWA schedule lighter than other areas, Bock would make time to travel down to the Mid Atlantic, Georgia, Hawaii, Stampede and other areas not commonly looked at as AWA-affiliated. Bock made cash and the AWA title got more exposure. Win-win. Without looking it up I'm guessing most of Bock's out-of-Territory matches took place in the summer. Just a guess, though. I remember seeing a result IIRC from Georgia with Bock defending against Adrian Adonis. I would KILL to find a tape of that one. There is part of a Bock title defense against Jim Brunzell on one of Cornette's garbage film discs, FWIW. I wouldn't kill to get it, but would help you out with burying the body to get a copy of it

This is pretty much exactly how I look at wrestling and various wrestlers, promotions, etc. I do really enjoy reading everyone else's breakdowns of why they like or don't like certain wrestlers and learn a shitload reading all of it, which is why I'm on here 16 hours a day. Whenever I try to break shit down it sucks the fun straight out of wrestling for me.

Whatever the case, I'd put Adrian Adonis ahead of Bill Walton on that list.

No Adonis love here? Damn. Rough crowd. Yeah he's a solid 2 for me but I haven't seen ALL of his stuff and my rankings on everything tend to be pretty fluid and ever-changing. Tito Santana, Greg Valentine, how about them? I'd go 2 pretty easily for both, with Greg slightly higher.

How would you guys rate Adrian Adonis? Personally, he's a solid Tier 2 for me (and maybe Tier 1 for me if I really think about it).

Markus has been asked about doing a football game and said he doesn't know anything about American football and wouldn't know where to start. I doubt he makes enough money to bring someone else on board to make a football game, either. Dammit

Out of the Park Developments just sent out an email this afternoon announcing Franchise Hockey Manager, due out in Sept. Stoked about this. This gives me hope they'll produce a football game in the future.
