Did Bob Brown Draw in Central?
Did Bob Brown ever tour Japan, and if so, did any of that make tape?

Who is the modern equivalent of Bulldog Bob Brown?
I love that somehow, some way, those four guys were compared to Bulldog Bob Brown

Who is the modern equivalent of Bulldog Bob Brown?
Good question. My answer would be "whatever keeps this thread from bogging down into mind-numbing tedium", but that's just an opinion Take it in whatever direction you want. Who was at the top of AJPW during the mass exodus, and would that guy fit our criteria?

Who is the modern equivalent of Bulldog Bob Brown?
I nominate Jeff Jarrett. He was around for the ass-end of USWA in Texas, a Main Eventer in 00-01 WCW, and a Main Eventer in TNA - a promotion that has seemingly been circling the drain since it's first show. Who else?

I'm running across a guy named "Gas House" Gilbert on 70's WWWF stuff. I think his name is Doug. Dumb question, is this guy Doug and Eddie's father?

Best and Worst Strikes
To me it always looked like Harley was trying to get hardway juice with those angled shots of his.

Did Bob Brown Draw in Central?
Was Geigel a good worker? Can't say I've ever seen any of his matches.

Did Bob Brown Draw in Central?
Forsake those guys with ability and embrace the dark side that is Bulldog and Rufus. Watching them makes all other wrestlers........look pretty great!

Thanks brain, and to everyone with the comments so far. Adamsfan, do you happen to know why Boston shows from this timeframe are generally non-existent in the trading community? All I could really find were film clips (with that terrible commentary), no full shows or video that is easy to find. Boston seemingly would have had a healthy amount of people watching and recording the shows, assuming they were broadcast on NESN or something. It's a good question about Bruno, and who exactly drew, if Bob did or didn't, if it was Bruno, if Larry Matysik just has an ax to grind with Bob. It's something I'd like to find out. Tried researching gate numbers but didn't get too far - Graham's site generally doesn't list attendance figures for 79-81. WON's don't exist (or simply aren't easily available) for these years. Is there any place that has MSG, Spectrum, Boston numbers? Maybe we can figure something out starting with the attendance figures, if they can be found. My hypothesis is Bob drew just fine on his own, but it would be nice to have a little more info before chiseling that in stone. There is one particular incident that happened in 1981 that kind of ties into whether Bob was a draw or not, but I'll save that for when we get to it.

Did Bob Brown Draw in Central?
I'm thinking about dropping a line to Harley Race and asking him about Bulldog Bob Brown. Anyone ever try to contact Harley? I emailed back and forth with his wife BJ about 10 years ago, but she has since passed. I seriously might try to contact Harley with some of these questions, if that is even remotely possible. Also, there may or may not be a "Best of" Bulldog Brown comp in the works.

Did Bob Brown Draw in Central?
I believe a group still runs Memorial Hall in KCKS to this day. There is a building in Wichita named "Bob Brown Memorial Expo Hall" that is attached to Century II which is the building where Bob Brown mowed through his opponents. My dad always told me the Expo Hall was named after the Bulldog and he would always say "that's why the building sucks". Just found out today that it was named for some politician. Yeah at this point I'm just scraping for info to keep this thread alive.

Did Bob Brown Draw in Central?
I LOVE this topic! The only thing that makes sense is if he was good friends with Bob Geigel. ??? Conversations I have with older fans around Wichita usually go like this: "Oh yeah we used to go watch the matches, the one guy I remember is Bulldog Bob Brown" "Was he a good wrestler?" "Oh hell no, that's just the guy I remember"

Booking Ivan Koloff to two World Titles in 1983
Did Brezhnev ever lay in state for public view like Lenin? You could draw up a story that he was reanimated once a week for his segment (like they used to do with Gordon Solie for the WNN). Damn, this joke played better in my head than it does here.

Yes, and I create many of the card stats for the LOW series. Cool. I try to play the game whenever possible as a way to get away from computer monitors and TV. I was going somewhere with this when posting the question and have totally forgotten where I was going with it

Your best 10 match card.
Bullshit. It's a perfectly fine topic and I've been sitting here for 20 minutes trying to figure out a card! I wasn't aware it has been done before (in some form), and it doesn't matter anyway.

Best and Worst Strikes
Never cared for Lex Luger's punches (though I like Luger overall for the most part). Worst I've seen lately, or maybe ever, is Capt. Lou Albano.
