[2000-01-04-NJPW-Wrestling World 2000] Wild Pegasus vs Hiroyoshi Tenzan
I am not a big fan of Tenzan. But this match was interesting. Benoit as a heavyweight is made believable by this match. I agree that he could have been succesful as a heavyweight in NJPW, but somehow that didn't happen. Man, those chops were stiff, LOL! I enjoyed it for what it was.

[2000-01-04-NJPW-Wrestling World 2000] Shinjiro Otani & Tatsuhito Takaiwa vs Minoru Tanaka & Kendo Kashin
Great match. I liked the way Ohtani and Takaiwa tried to stay out of too much matwork. Takaiwa's lariats were sick. And this match made me remember how good Ohtani was. Good matchbuilding too.

[2000-01-04-Osaka Pro] Super Delphin vs Dick Togo
This match was simply awesome. I watched it years and years back, and it still holds up today. Back then, I remember this match created quite a buzz. Dick Togo was such a good heel, and boy, could/can he wrestle! IMO, one of the most underrated wrestlers of the '90's. Yes, I am a HUGE Togo fan, and also hope to see more of him in the PWO2K project.

[2000-01-08-MAW] CM Punk vs Colt Cabana
Punk as a babyface in his debut match for MAW. He looked rather skinny, where Cabana already had a good build. I liked this match. Good performance by both guys, although I must admit I thought Cabana was the better wrestler. Interesting to know that this babyface would give Vince a hard time years later, and ultimately make his UFC debut.

[2000-01-02-BJW-New Year's Great Series] Ryuji Yamakawa vs Tomoaki Honma (Nail & Barbed Wire Double Board Death)
This is how you work a deathmatch! I loved their 1999 match, but IMO this one is even better. It had a great entrance and it showd that you don't need 100.000 lightubes to have e great match. This era in BJW was amazing because of these matches. Still in my top ten of favourite deathmatches. Highly recommended.

The joshi show was very interesting. And the match of the week is must watch, IMO. Even if you are not into joshi. Great work, guys!

[2000-01-01-CMLL] Tarzan Boy vs Rey Bucanero
This was a great match. First half sees Tarzan Boy being beaten bloody by Bucanero. At the end of the second fall Tarzan Boy counters with a ddt to take the second fall. Third fall sees both wrestlers bloody and brawling trying to get the pin. I really enjoyed this. First time for me to see CMLL in 2000. Tastes like more, LOL!

I really hope that one day Goodhelmet will make a Best of Black Terry comp. That would be a dream come true for me. The guy really deserves it, IMO.

Puerto Rico Wrestling
Oh my god! This thread is just plain awesome! It is a great read and it really puts over WWC, IMO. After going through this thread and listening to the Carlos Colon HOF podcast at The Place to be Nation, I really hope the DVDVR Puerto Rico set will NOT be a mini set, but a normal set. This promotion needs its place in history, and I sure hope all involved in the making of this set are putting this in consideration. Thanx Dylan and El Boricua for the history lessons. I hope your contributions to this thread will go an and keep this alive. And we need another podcast on Puerto Rico for sure! Keep up the good work!
