[1991-05-19-PWFG] Wayne Shamrock vs Naoki Sano
Bit on the long side for me but even then I didn't realize it went 25 minutes. They spend a lot of time on the mat but as Loss said it was a struggle between both guys trying to gain any little advantage. I thought some of Shamrock's hand strikes were not as smooth but his knees looked deadly. Surprised by Shamrock's performance as he looked pretty good. Strong performance by Sano and nice to see him get a win as just seems he ended up on the losing side more often.

[1991-05-19-PWFG] Yoshiaki Fujiwara vs Wellington Wilkins Jr
Fujiwara throwing a couple suplexes in the match and you get the sense he knows he's the better man in the match. The relaxed pose he pulled off while holding the heel hook was great. Wilkins was getting pissed at all this stuff and is willing to trade headbutts in close position and smack Fujiwara in the ear multiple times. Fujiwara gets the heel hook again and no messing around this time as he cranks it in. Enjoyable match.

[1991-05-18-USWA-Memphis TV] Eddie Gilbert & Brian Christopher vs Tom Prichard & Dirty White Boy
Match was alright to me but I didn't quite get why it was played up as a traditional tag match and once Gilbert tagged in he lost his temper and went after Anthony. If he was that hot and bothered you think he would have rushed the ring earlier. Picks up from there though with Gilbert even bringing a broom into the ring. At least got a few more minutes than the normal TV studio match.

[1991-05-18-USWA-Memphis TV] Eric Embry, Bill Dundee and Eddie Marlin
Nice table. Looks like it is moss covered. Marlin is trying to discuss issues with a loser leaves USWA match between Dundee and Embry that has a disputed finish. There is no tape of this match though. Marlin proposes a rematch with same stipulations. So much for the first match. I need a spreadsheet to keep track of all Embry’s feuds.

[1991-05-18-WWF-Superstars] Interview: Ted DiBiase & Sensational Sherri
The cameraman lusting of Sherri continues as we get a close up of her legs. Piper has in his contract now that he can’t physically go after DiBiase while doing commentary. Sherri doesn’t believe in putting her money in the bank.

[1991-05-17-WWA] El Hijo del Santo vs Negro Casas
Excellent match that was given plenty of time with the falls spaced out. Great match work in the first fall. These guys are so smooth together going from hold to reversal to hold. The finish of the second fall was great with Casas hitting a spine buster with added low blow kick into a Scorpion Death lock. Referee didn't see it as Casas was so slick. Then we get some sportsmanship from Casas where he helps walk Santo over to his corner during the break and then hits him with another low blow! That was so awesome. This all leads to third fall with Santo getting his own low blow which was great. DQ finish but worked within the match as Casas gets caught finally for breaking the rules too many times.

[1991-05-14-WWF-Primetime Wrestling] Earthquake and Vince McMahon
Before Earthquake came out I was saying to myself I bet he is wearing his wrestling gear. We get the "uncensored" video of Earthquake splashing Damien. Earthquake has the snake skin which Heenan asks if he can pet him. That was funny. Earthquake now wearing a chef hat and apron. Silly for a non comedic heel to dress like that. Heenan really enjoys the snake burgers. Vince is steamed!

[1991-05-04-USWA-Memphis TV] Interview: Eric Embry
Embry seemed to really enjoy showing off the tabloid of Warrior having an affair. Eric is the new Southern Heavyweight champion. First thing you notice from match is both guys are bleeding. Tojo gets whacked in the head with the briefcase but ends up getting hit with it later by Pritchard. Tom seemed like he wanted to come off the top rope but either though he couldn't reach Jarrett or was going to have trouble climbing turnbuckle with briefcase in hand.

[1991-05-11-WWF-Superstars] Update: Slick has as much luck as Sherri
Pretty obvious what is going to happen here with the trunk open. Was there any plan to this Andre turning down managers storyline?

[1991-05-11-RINGS] Akira Maeda vs Dick Vrij
Vrij with the earring on did seem out of place. He did a good job early keeping Maeda off balance with kicks but never felt like he was too much of a serious threat. Part of match that didn't make sense to me was towards end Vrij takes it eyes off Maeda to adjust his shin pads! I didn't seen any type of timeout/okay given by the referee. Maeda should have kicked him in the head. Instead he just stood there and watched him.

[1991-05-10-UWFi-Moving On 1] Kiyoshi Tamura vs Masahito Kakihara
Liked this one as it was two guys really going at it and putting up a good fight. There was one point where one of them missed a jumping spin kick and then tried to do it again which felt a bit too staged for this type of match. But otherwise it was pretty good with the strikes and when they got on the mat they were always moving and trying to finish the other off.

[1991-05-06-NJPW-Dream Win III] Jushin Liger vs Hiroshi Hase
Hase was really yanking in the arm wringer. Even lifting up Liger in the air at one point. Hase has more control in the match but doesn’t feel like it has to do with the weight difference but that he is more of the aggressor. Turned into a good match. Liked how even though it was a hand held cam it didn’t feel like one.

[1991-05-06-FMW] Atsushi Onita vs Mr Pogo (Exploding Barbed Wire Death)
A fan launches his shoe that barely missed hitting Pogo in the head. He responds by throwing a chair at the fans. Nice outdoor setting. That explosion was loud. I wouldn't want to be lying on one of those barbed wire boards. Wasn't much out side of the visual/audio of the explosions themselves.
