[1990-12-29-USWA-Memphis TV] Interview: Jerry Lawler / Bam Bam Bigelow promo
Lawler says he is not behind the Gilbert bounty. He’s more than happy to go after Gilbert himself. There is friction between Gilbert and Idol due to Bigelow being involved in the previous tag match. Rematch with no disqualifications. Show is on wednesday nights now or maybe that has to do with the holidays.

[1990-12-29-USWA-Memphis TV] Jerry Lawler & Bam Bam Bigelow vs Eddie Gilbert & Austin Idol
Some type of raffle prize where Lawler’s pulls a fans name out of a box to win $100. Gilbert and Idol attack looking to collect the bounty. Bigelow saves Lawler from further beating. Tag match. Those referees in Memphis sure do get beat up. Black Magic just seems to be standing around in the ring in the post match brawl.

[1990-12-29-WWF-Superstars] Interview: Sgt. Slaughter
Heavy on the Iraq invasion of Kuwait. Saddam send Slaughter a gift. New boots. Slaughter will conquer the Ultimate Warrior at the Rumble. He will bring the title to Baghdad. Was the L.A. Coliseum still booked for WrestleMania at this point?

[1990-12-29-WWF-Superstars] Ted DiBiase promo
DiBiase getting a message from Virgil. Cash is thicker than blood. Virgil will do whatever DiBiase tells him to do. Virgil is looking more disapproving of having to deal with the Million Dollar Man. This stuff was hinted more at early in year but now it will be a huge focus of 91.

[1990-12-28-WWF-MSG, NY] Roddy Piper vs Mr Perfect
Piper drags Perfect around the ring by the hair. Piper looking good in this match. He kicks out of the Perfect Plex. That move became useless over the course of the year. Perfect ends up getting counted out. Good Piper performance withe the typical non finish for his matches. Overall, WWF didn't really deliver a whole lot of strong matches for the year.

[1990-12-26-NJPW-King of Kings] Nick Bockwinkel vs Masa Saito
Bock is cranking in that side headlock. Not great match but Bock could still go for his age. He takes a big suplex at the end too.

[1990-12-26-NJPW-King of Kings] Masa Chono vs Lou Thesz
Lou Thesz! He just looks legit as a wrestler even at his age. 74 years old. That’s crazy. It’s not a great match but it’s a a 74 year old Thesz and he he still looks physically good. Chono gets the STF out of nowhere. Interesting to see this.

[1990-12-26-NJPW-King of Kings] Jushin Liger vs Negro Casas
Casas has a different outfit. Giant Gonzales ripped this one off. Some good spots and action but I’m still waiting for that big Casas match in Japan.

[1990-12-22-NWA-Pro] Terry Taylor vs Rip Rogers
Will Rip Rogers ever win a match? Then again it’s been just time limit draws for Taylor. The flying forearm is not a believable finish for Taylor. He gets the win. Too bad Rogers didn'get a bit more of a push.

[1990-12-22-USWA-Memphis TV] Jim Cornette and Fabulous Ones promo
Cornette. Where you been? Jim talks about the bounty against Lawler. The Fabulous Ones are back together to help back up Lawler and stop the bounty from being collected. No more Midnights. I'm curious to see what involvement Cornette had in wrestling in 91.

[1990-12-29-WWF-Superstars] The Mountie vignette
Mountie pulling over people on horse. When I left concert a few years back I was walking on the wrong side of the street and got charged by a state police on horse. That horse wanted to run me down big time. Don’t screw around with a determined horse.

[1990-12-16-NWA Starrcade '90] Sting vs Black Scorpion (Cage)
Dick the Bruiser as referee. Special referees tend to suck. Multiple Black Scorpions make their way to the ring. Fans object with lights descends from the ceiling. Giant pod from outer space. The real Black Scorpion! Black Scorpion looks to have shrunk from his previous appearances. He begs off from Sting. He’s also wrestling a basic match. That snapmare looked familiar. Heyman tries to explain that this is the original Scorpion wrestling for first time. Pedestrian action at this point. Don’t even see the point of the cage right now. Scorpion uses it somewhat but it’s more of a background object. Black Scorpion randomly crotches himself on the ropes for a comedy spot. This match was crap. Hmm, why are the Horsemen in the ring attacking Sting? Jim Ross has great vision to be able to see that the Scorpion was Ric Flair as the camera angle at the time was real poor when he got unmasked. Just awful overall. Bad angle and a weak match to main event your big show.
