[1990-09-08-USWA-Memphis TV] Bill Dundee, Jerry Lawler and the Gilberts
Dundee doesn’t understand what is up with Eddie and that is dad is probably disappointed in him. He wants to beat up Anthony to get rid of him. Some young female fan looked to want to get a hug from Lawler but he restrained himself and avoided it. Clips of match from monday. Lawler ends up spraying some substance in Gilbert’s eyes. This ends the match as Eddie gets taken out in an ambulance. Eddie hasn’t been able to fight since due to eye sight issues. Match from last night of Lawler versus Doug Gilbert. Referee refused to count pinfall and Eddie’s eyesight seems to cure itself as he attacks Lawler. DWB hangs Brickhouse Brown over the ropes. Good stuff all around.

[1990-09-08-WWF-Superstars] Brother Love: Sensational Sherri & Ultimate Warrior
Nice head gear Sherri. She has a message for us peasants. Oh, she is calling out Ultimate Warrior. Nice. Sherri has a contract for a match but Warrior refuses to sign. We can see Warrior hanging out near the entrance. Finally he joins the show. Warrior rips up the contract. He thinks Savage is hiding behind Sherri’s skirt. Sherri slaps him. Love had me cracking up trying to diffuse the tension. Warrior trashes the set and runs off.

[1990-09-07-AJPW-Summer Action Series II] The Fantastics vs Kenta Kobashi & Johnny Ace
Fulton hasn’t had too much success with the suplex on the floor. Kobashi and Ace have some good tag moves. Fulton tries a leg lock and Ace breaks it by smacking his face repeatedly. That works. Fantastics have the timing down on the double dropkick. Kobashi with the moonsault for the win. He’s getting going.

[1990-09-05-NWA-Clash of the Champions XII] Sting vs Black Scorpion
I’m not recognizing who the Black Scorpion could be. Sting wins with the Stinger Splash. But there is another Black Scorpion who shows up on the ramp. Sting didn’t accomplish what he meant to do as he still doesn’t know who the Black Scorpion. Sid wants Sting to know that he sure be worried about him. Is Sid’s fly open? I guess when you rule the world you don't have time to focus on your zipper.

[1990-09-05-NWA-Clash of the Champions XII] Ric Flair vs Lex Luger
Flair gets a brief music video for his entrance. Ric fakes a shoulder injury and clocks Luger. Flair tries grabbing a police officer’s chair outside the ring but the cop is too fast. Was going pretty well. Better than the Sting/Flair match but finish isn’t good with Hansen running down. But wasn’t like Flair was going to win US Title nor was Luger going to be beat him clean.

[1990-09-01-USWA-Championship Sports] Steve Austin, Jeannie Clarke & Percy Pringle and Chris Von Erich, Chris & Toni Adams
Jeannie will be suing Toni for what she did to her hair. New stipulation Chris is looking for a chain match with Austin. I think he is going to request every single possible match for this feud. Jeannie and Toni go at it. The whole time this is going on, Jeannie is holding her lawyer’s letter and doctor’s xrays. More hair ripping by Toni. Jeannie may need Gilbert’s secret hair formula before this is all over. Toni might be as crazy as Chris with her carrying around Jeannie’s hair. Jeannie hits Toni with the bell ringer. Austin does the same to Chris. Heels tease cutting Toni’s hair but Chris saves. But he ends up getting his hair cut instead.

[1990-09-01-USWA-Memphis TV] Eddie Gilbert goes for a drive
Brickhouse Brown wins a battle royal using an atomic drop to eliminate Eddie Gilbert. Brown gets beat down and Gilbert steals the $5K check. Marlin gets wise and then gets his ass kicked. Lawler saves Brickhouse and Marlin. Gilbert is getting tired of Lawler trying to save they day all the time. Stay out of his business. Marlin says him and Sam Rowe will meet in the ring. He wanted to fire the Gilberts but Lawler and Brown wanted to have a match instead. Eddie disagrees because right now the Gilberts are USWA. Marlin tells Eddie to take a hike and get out the door. Marlin and Eddie get in a shoving match in the parking lot. Lawler backs up Marlin who was knock down. Eddie gets in his car and then runs over Lawler!! Wow. He’s able to get to his feet though. Was waiting the whole year for this one.

[1990-09-01-AJW] Aja Kong vs Bull Nakano (Cage)
Aja gets busted open early. Bull uses Aja’s metal basket weapon which was sitting inside cage. Referee takes it away. Probably should have done that before match started. Bull nails the referee on purpose and he was like that’s cool and goes back to refereeing the match. Aja hits him too in the head with a weapon. Rough gig. And now he’s completely busted open. Felt goofy with the ref involvement. This didn’t settle anything.

[1990-09-01-AJPW-Summer Action Series II] Mitsuharu Misawa vs Jumbo Tsuruta
Haven’t seen this one. Couple spots where Jumbo is catching on to Misawa’s moves. That flying elbow/headbutt move Misawa has been hitting Jumbo with in previous matches but Jumbo is ready now. Jumbo whacks Misawa with a chair in the back. Things picking up. Misawa is hot when it gets back in the ring and he is throwing forearms. Jumbo counters with headbutts and a drop kick. Misawa leap frogs and lands on his own head almost beating himself. Getting sloppy but Jumbo hits a big superplex. Misawa kicks out of the backdrop. Second one does it though. Really strong match. It doesn’t have the special moment of Misawa winning like the June match but still delivered. But is not that far behind overall.
