[1990-07-12-AJPW-Summer Action Series] Masa Fuchi vs Tsuyoshi Kikuchi
Perfectly fine match to me. Didn't think as high of it as you guys. I like Fuchi but I just prefer him a lot more in tags as he's just so much better as an asshole in those and appreciate his style more against the Misawas, Kawadas, Kobashis, etc. Kikuchi got some close falls near the end but Fuchi got him in the end. Crowd did like Kikuchi.

[1990-07-11-USWA-Evansville TV] Jerry Lawler local promo
Lawler wants a match with Snowman to settle it once and for all. Two out of three falls. There will be no flukes and it will prove who is the better man. Sounds like they are rapping this feud up.

[1990-07-07-NWA-Great American Bash] Ric Flair vs Sting
Flair has the odds against him with The Dudes with Attitudes around the ring and Ole handcuffed to El Gigante. I was expecting more but can understand not trying to push it with Sting. Sting gets the Scorpion Death Lock on and the Horsemen make a delayed appearance but look pretty weak by backing down to the Dudes and then just disappearing all together. Flair escapes the Death Lock and when he finally gets the figure four on he gets rolled up. Didn’t like this finish. Sting should have put him away with the Deathlock.

[1990-07-07-NWA-Great American Bash] Midnight Express vs Southern Boys
Beginning of match was all weird. Thought I had a disk issue. Anyways pretty awesome match. Eaton keeps trying to go it all alone at the beginning before tagging in Lane who has a martial arts battle Smothers which is quite good. Smothers took some big bumps off the apron into the guardrail. I thought they had botched the ending a bit after the dropkick from the Southern boys led to some standing around. But the near falls after had me biting. Excellent match. Type of tag match I can really get behind and liked how they got the crowd more into it as it went on.

[1990-07-07-USWA-Championship Sports] Interview: Steve Austin & Jeannie Clark
Jeannie’s hair gets caught in Austin’s robe. Austin apologizes for not breaking every bone in Toni’s back. Sheesh. Nice personalized Get Well Soon card by Austin. Better than Hallmark. Jeannie has really got her role down well on the mic stirring up the fans. She catches Craig Johnson taking a peak down her down and lets him know about it.

[1990-07-07-USWA-Championship Sports] Jeff Jarrett and Iceman Parsons have a familiar argument
They ran off Torres. Good. Jarrett has words for that rag head General. Iceman Parsons interrupts to have his say at Jarrett. He gets physical with security. Parsons wants a piece of Jarrett but security keeps everyone apart. Jarrett wins his match and Parsons attacks him. They roll around outside and at one point Parsons manages to get a cord wrapped around his neck. Parsons gets handcuffed leading to a BS chant from the crowd. Jarrett wants a match with Parsons and swears on camera. He will quit if he doesn’t get a match. Best Jarrett has looked so far.

[1990-07-07-USWA-Championship Sports] John Tatum and Bill Dundee
Tatum talks about his wild days with picking up ladies at the bars and how the more booze he drinks the hotter they are. I do enjoy Tatum’s short jokes of Dundee. We are getting a first blood match. Dundee has come to expect losing titles or matches by cheating ways but does not accept his lady getting superkicked.

[1990-07-07-NWA-World Championship Wrestling] Ric Flair and Sting
Final interview between Sting and Flair before their match. Gordon tries to set some rules that there will be no physical confrontation during this. Quick heated exchange and Ole joins us for no reason in my book. Solie again tries to remind us to no get physical. Gordon seemed to be getting legit pissed here with guys trying to rip his mic out of his hand. El Gigante! He just stands there trying to be menacing but he looks goofy. Ole and Flair play it up the best they can at getting all freaked out.

[1990-07-07-USWA-Memphis TV] Dirty White Boys vs Rex King & Joey Maggs
We were getting a pretty decent TV match until Lawler/Dundee ran in to take on the Dirty White Boys. Tony Anthony is not happy about Lawler interfering in his tag team title match. DWB issues challenges to Lawler and Dundee. Wasn't clear if match was going to resume or not. Gilbert woke up early to come get his money from Dundee. He’s starting to think he may not be getting his money. Gilbert wants his money or someone is getting hurt. I like that Gilbert feels he still should be getting paid from Dundee. The parade of Lawler bashing continues with Bruno runs him down. Bruno says three times he is going to get bucked which is funny. But the camera cut to the crowd chanting puts it over the top.

The Ninja Turtle fan in me loved this. I would not have picked Chris Champion as the guy under the mask.

[1990-07-07-USWA-Memphis TV] Bill Dundee vs Ken Wayne
Dirty White Boys attack Dundee during the match. The camera misses it but Gilbert grabs Tessa by the hair on the outside. Lawler saves Tessa by nailing Gilbert. Both him and Dundee, to a big crowd response, clear the ring of everyone. Dundee asks Lawler to be his partner and will pay him the money originally meant for Gilbert. Jerry will do it for free. Great segments. I liked that way Gilbert was immediately proven to be a heel and Lawler finally completed this turn to a face.

[1990-07-07-USWA-Memphis TV] Bill Dundee vs Dirty White Boy / Jerry Lawler, Bill Dundee & Eddie Gilbert
Right to the finish with Dundee get the win with a sunset flip. Dirty White Boy attacks Dundee after the match. Dirty White Girl whips Dundee. Tessa shows up and her and DWG roll around in the ring. Ladies disappear to the back and Tatum hits the ring. Superkick and spike piledriver puts Dundee down for good. Another Superkick. Dundee getting his assed beat. Joey Maggs and Rex King aren’t much help as they get attacked trying to help Dundee. One more spike piledriver before more wrestlers hit the ring. Dundee and Tessa do an interview. Figured Dundee would be selling it a bit more. Nice jacket Superstar. Dundee has made a deal with the devil to find himself a partner. Lawler needs to leave studio area for Dundee’s partner to come out. And out comes Eddie Gilbert! He’s the best friend money can buy! Tessa has bad interview posture. Dirty White Boy and Girl rush the interview area. Gilbert doesn’t do a thing to help. Dundee is not happy with Eddie. Gilbert tries to explain that he only agreed to get physical in Monday night match as that was what he is getting paid for. Fun segment.

[1990-07-07-USWA-Memphis TV] Jerry Lawler and Downtown Bruno / Jerry Lawler vs The Snowman
I really did appreciate Lawler asking the fans what they have been chanting all along. Nice to know what Get Bucked means. Lawler has got rid of Gossett as manager and also refused other managers like Bruno. Well Bruno ended up costing Lawler title match against Snowman which we get clips of. Now there will be two referees at the next match between Lawler and Snowman. Bruno and his team Wild Things show up so they can have their interview time. Lawler just casually walks off to the back to allow them to do their prom but returns with a baseball bat.

[1990-07-07-WWF-Superstars] Brother Love: Nikolai Volkoff & Hacksaw Duggan
Duggan had to have been one of Brother Love's least favorite people. He is quite upset when Duggan shows up. We get the Duggan/Volkoff partnership. Volkoff is very enthusiastic about waving the American flag.

[1990-07-07-WWF-Superstars] Update: Major announcement from The Hulkster next week
Big announcement to come from Hogan. Gene hints at possible retirement. We get some wrestler comments about whether Hogan will return. Earthquake says Hogan will not come back. Always liked Earthquake's interview style of moving up and down.

[1990-07-07-AJPW-Summer Action Series] Mitsuharu Misawa & Toshiaki Kawada vs Jumbo Tsuruta & Yoshiaki Yatsu
Biggest thing I took out of this match was how much the crowd are behind Misawa already. Big chants for him. Jumbo was getting some chants at one point and the rest of the crowd just starting chanting Misawa. Kawada hit a moonsault at one point. Couple missed moves at time and felt match went a bit too long. Kawada gets a close two count on Jumbo. Misawa focuses too much on Yatsu at end allowing Jumbo to put away Kawada.

[1990-07-04-USWA Texas] Steve Austin & Jeannie Clark vs Chris & Toni Adams
Men versus men and women versus women only. The chinlock spot was long indeed. I know they wanted to keep the women on the outside as long as possible to build to their involvement but wish they did a bit more than the chin lock. When the women do finally get in it is way too short of action. Austin finally hits the top rope splash!.... on Toni. Two attacks on females in one show is way overdoing it.
