[1990-05-26-USWA-Memphis TV] Race Relations In The USWA: A Panel Discussion, Led by Eddie Marlin!
Snowman in the face of Eddy Marlin. Snowman seemed to be getting out of control here getting in security’s face and aggressively going through the crowd. Back in studio, Dave Brown lets us know we are under a thunderstorm watch in Memphis. Snowman joins Dave and Eddy and announce booth. Snowman calls Marlin a racist. Marlin to demonstrate he’s not a racist brings out King Cobra. Farakhan will be in town soon. Will Eddy Marlin be attending that? Ha. Lawler is out and wants a match with Snowman. Marlin is not having it and wants Snowman to work his way up to Lawler. Marlin storms off. I was expecting him to get popped in the face. This segment was uncomfortable to watch at times.

[1990-05-26-WWF-Superstars] Ultimate Warrior promo
I wasn’t sure if Warrior was saying he had a wound or womb. Warrior is ready to go to war along side his Warriors.

[1990-05-26-WWF-Superstars] Rick Rude vignette
I sucked at rope climbing in gym class. Rude is going to climb to the top of the WWF and demonstrates how easy this will be by climbing a rope up to the ceiling.

[1990-05-26-WWF-Superstars] Brother Love: Hulk Hogan & Earthquake
Brother Love show with special guest Hogan and Earthquake. Jimmy Hart shows up in place of Eathquake who is sick. Jimmy calls Hogan a has been. Here’s Earthquake! With a chair too. Earthquake splash! And another. Brother Love is really enjoying all this and I’m loving just watching his facials the whole time. It’s him getting back Hogan for all the previous crap. Earthquake squishes Hogan once more. Pat Patterson is not wearing his white sneakers. Cause Vince is!

[1990-05-26-AJPW-Super Power Series] Mitsuharu Misawa & Kenta Kobashi & Akira Taue vs Jumbo Tsuruta & Great Kabuki & Masa Fuchi
Misawa wearing the green tights now and teaming with Taue. Misawa tags Jumbo good when he is on the apron. He takes a bit to right himself but when he does he is pissed off. He charges across the ring after Misawa who himself is ready to fight back. They are easily the focal point right now as their teammates are trying to get them to calm down. Jumbo with some full impact bodyslams. Rest of the guys in match step up as it goes on. Really enjoyed this one. Much needed pick me up for AJPW for this year.

That’s a lot of wrestling figures. Doesn’t feel safe to have them lying on the ground though.

[1990-05-25-USWA Texas] Steve Austin vs Chris Adams (Barbed Wire)
Barbed wire match which I barely noticed at first. Austin backs out of the ring and scrapes himself on the barbed wire. Nice tease of Adams desperately fighting off Austin from getting pushed into barbed wire. Oh that splash Austin. Different type of barbed wire match where it was more teasing of using the barbed wire than being a bloody type match.

[1990-05-25-NWA-Power Hour] Louisville Slugger: Teddy Long, Mark Callous & Paul E. Dangerously
Mean Mark with Teddy Long. The Heart Punch. One of my lease favorite moves. Teddy is a visionary as he sees Mean Mark as a future World Champion. However Teddy is ready to sell Mean Mark’s contract to Paul Dangerously. So much for Teddy thinking long term. Cornette and Heyman are not the best of friends. Even the lawyers seen Mean Mark as the next World Champion.

[1990-05-24-NJPW] Riki Choshu vs Keiji Muto
New Japan? It’s been ages since we saw you. Alright little match. Mutoh puts up a good fight but Riki is able to put him away in the end with the clothesline.

[1990-05-19-NWA-Capital Combat] Ric Flair vs Lex Luger (Cage)
Interesting that WWF had their champion Hogan feuding with Intercontinental champion Warrior and WCW has Flair versus US champion Luger. The return of Robocop. Thanks for reminding me Ross. WCW cage is more in the background compared to WWF blue bar cage. Kind of like Hell in the Cell where you can still move around ringside. Woman gets to hangout inside the cage! Which completely defeats the purpose of a cage match. Ross mentions Lugers 3.78 GPA. Damnit. Glad I’m not driving. Is Flair ranking near the top of taking 10 count corner punches? Flair’s blading is so obvious. But I’m cool with some blood. Luger busts his knee up in a suplex attempt. Time for Flair. Figure four by Flair. Ref breaks the figure four and here comes the Horsemen. Sting shows up and pops Ole and takes on the rest of the Horsemen. El Gigante backs up Sting! Windham is able to sneak under the cage and interfere which causes a disqualification in a Cage match? That was stupid. Woman was also useless in this match as she was in cage whole time and didn’t do anything.

[1990-05-19-NWA-Capital Combat] Rick & Scott Steiner vs Doom
Steiners with their letterman jackets. Ross talks about Simmons being a four time All American. I'll take a drink to play it safe. Rick's hair is stupid. It's totally the Angle wig from 2002. Teddy puts his doo rag on in front of the camera. Ross is overdoing the football references so I'll take another drink. Scott suplexes Simmons impressively. I'm going to have alcohol poisoning watching this. Soup bones! Swig. Hulu bowl. On no! Scary piledriver by Rick on Simmons. Ross talks about the greatest brother duos and I'm fearing a racist comment by him. Soup bone right. Ross mentions how everyone is all chiseled. Ron Simmons from Florida State. Ah crap. 8th in the Heismen trophy ballot. I'm starting to run low here. Former All American from Michigan. Reed with a good looking piledriver of his own. Football tackle. Simmons manages to spinebuster himself. And backdrops himself too! And frankensteiners himself for the trifecta. Vicious tackle to the outside. Dooms wins. Fun match. My liver hated it. Ha, Loss. This match pretty much wrecked me as I watched it originally. Damn your drinking game rules.

[1990-05-19-NWA-Capital Combat] Junkyard Dog and Jim Cornette
JYD has arrived in WCW. He calls out the Horsemen and Mean Mark? Cornette wants to talk about the Midnight Express instead. Cornette tries to gloss over JYD’s WWF stint. Yeah, he didn’t light up the world but he wasn’t exactly dog food there either.

[1990-05-19-NWA-Capital Combat] Sting, Robocop and the Four Horsemen
Robocop shows up as Solie is backstage. Gordon must have loved doing this. Sting some how gets himself locked up in Cornette’s cage ringside by the Horsemen. And here’s Robocop to save Sting. So much for all of Sid’s talk as he backs off easily. I was hoping for an Arn Anderson spinebuster on Robocop.

[1990-05-19-NWA-Capital Combat] Midnight Express vs Brian Pillman & Tom Zenk
Ross talks about us going to backstage to Solie and Robocop. Can’t wait for that one. Cornette is locked in a ringside cage. Ross us talking about Pillman’s Bengal’s career so I take a drink to play it safe. Eaton is Mr. backbreaker. Pillman is pretty much his whole team. Zenk was carried by Martel and Pillman. Super quick tags by the Midnights. Alabama Jam! Pillman kicks out. Lane loads up his boot for the kick and Eaton scores the win with the roll up. Pretty clean victory overall.

[1990-05-19-USWA-Championship Sports] Bill Dundee and John Tatum
Dundee has the belt back from Tatum. And here’s Tatum with his valet. Tatum attacks Dundee from behind who gets busted open. Tessa tries to pull Tatum off. Travis comes out to help Dundee. I miss him as heel already.
