[1990-02-23-WWF-The Main Event] Ultimate Warrior vs Dino Bravo / Hulk Hogan & Ultimate Warrior interviews
Dino Bravo number one contender for IC Title. Side slam and Warrior hulks up and finishes him off. Bravo too gets up rather quickly after the pinfall as he joins up with Earthquake to double team Warrior. Hogan says he will watch Warrior’s back for now as he wants him at his best come WrestleMania. Warrior’s turn and Gene has that look on his face where he has no clue what Warrior is talking about. Warrior is so over the top. Hillarious.

NWA and WWF cable and syndication
I didn't sen my first NWA/WCW program until 1994. I moved to the States in 88 but being the youngest in the family I had no seniority when he came to control of the TV remote. I'd watch WWF when I could but we ended up ditching cable about a year or so later. Fell out of the loop of wrestling in the early 90's outside of catching a random episode of Superstars in syndication. I was aware of WCW from seeing tapes of PPVs in video stores and playing video games. When I got back into watching WWF in early 94, I tried to watch all the wrestling I could and came across WCW Worldwide on a local channel late at night. I could really only watch it during the summer time though as I believe it was on a thursday night. Finally got cable again in 95 so at that point I was able to watch TBS.

WCW ongoing thread
El-P, wish you were watching all of the yearbooks as your WCW posts have been entertaining. It will be interesting to see your thoughts of WCW through 94 as the year proceeds.

1990 Drinking Game
Yeah, Ross got right to the point in the tag match. Just about to watch Luger/Flair now and I'm all out of whiskey. Halloween Havoc still looks scary on paper.

[1990-02-17-NWA-World Championship Wrestling] Ric Flair vs Brian Pillman / Lex Luger and the Four Horsemen
Really good match. I compared this one more to the Zenk match. Thought Zenk got in way too much offense in that match. Here it's a few minutes shorter but I buy Pillman as more of a credible challenger. Flair being heel here helped though I felt like he won this one more clean than the Zenk match. Nice finish with it looking like Pillman will get the win but Flair reverses. Luger's response to the Horsemen is pretty clear as he decks Ole and the rest before walking off. Heated segment.

[1990-02-17-NWA-Worldwide] Midnight Express vs Brian Pillman & Tom Zenk
Good little match that thought Express would be victors but they seemed to be playing catch up the whole time. Zenk looked to have made a mistake by putting Cornette in sleeper and exposing himself to get hit from behind. But he kicks out. Faces pull out the sneaky victory without using a legal tag. Cornette does his flopping on the mat tantrum.

[1990-02-17-USWA-Memphis TV] Jerry Lawler Loves Wrestling Fans
The studio audience really does enjoy when Lawler rips on them. One of the audience members says Lawler "wears pink and he stinks". She was gearing to go with Lawler but I still give him the victory.

[1990-02-17-USWA-Memphis TV] Interview: Jerry Lawler
Jerry is a delight to listen to. He busts out the wrestling magazines to prove his world wide stance in wrestling. Showing off him being in the top 10 of the PWI rankings. Guess that's were Gilbert came up with that one two years later. Lawler claims to be the only World Champion recognized in two federations.

[1990-02-17-WWF-Superstars] Brother Love: Ted DiBiase, Slick & Akeem
Slick and Akeem on the Brother Love show to run down Boss Man. About the most of Akeem promo time I’ve seen. Dibiase makes an appearance and makes an financial offer to Slick and Akeem to get rid of Boss Man. Agreed with that this has been executed pretty well by all the parties.

[1990-02-12-FMW-Battle Brave] Atsushi Onita vs Masanobu Kurisu (Barbed Wire)
Match listing says barbed wire but not seeing any. Oh, it’s outside the ring on boards. So it feels like a battle royal where you are trying to eliminate your opponent to the outside. Onita is the first to fall outside on the barbed wire. And the ref starts a count so he has to quickly remove himself from barbed wire to get back in. That's pretty vicious in thought. Kurisu goes to work with stomps on Onita’s gash on his back. Seemed to be a bit too much laying around at times on the edge of the mat.
