[1994-09-24-WWF-Superstars] King Kong Bundy vignette
I too am wondering who this person is. They try to put over Bundy as some Godzilla type figure. I thought his return overall was pretty lame.

[1994-09-23-NJPW-G1 Climax Special] Jushin Liger vs Yoshiaki Fujiwara
Seeing the match listing I was hoping for lots of palm strikes to Fujiwara's face. Liger does get in a nice flurry. Fujiwara is all about taking this to the mat where he can dominate. But he gets in some impressive looking strikes also. Fujiwara mounts Liger and hits him with punches while pressing his forearm up against his face also. Loved the finish with the armbar off the reversal. Fujiwara is slowly growing on me.

[1994-09-27-ECW-TV] Interview: Cactus Jack & Mikey Whipwreck
Mikey looks horrified at being Cactus' partner. Cactus tells Mikey he is not all that great. Mikey and Cactus have a good exchange about Cactus' teeth and ear. Mikey fears for his life.

[1994-09-20-ECW-TV] Interview: Shane Douglas & Borne Again
Douglas gives a very arrogant promo putting himself over as the franchise. Borne Again gives a good promo also playing up his evil Doink side. Miss that Doink.

[1994-09-19-WWF-Raw] Interview: Bob Backlund
They are getting over the Cross Faced Chickenwing move. Backlund demonstrates it on a WWF Magazine writer who refers to him as Bob. Not smart. Both McMahon and Savage physically get involved to get Backlund to break the move.

[1994-09-18-WCW-Fall Brawl] Nasty Boys & Dusty & Dustin Rhodes vs Arn Anderson & Bunkhouse Buck & Terry Funk & Col. Robert Parker (War Games)
First time seeing this and looking forward to it with all the buildup. WWF had some great video packages but WCW delivers a really good one here also before the match. I was curious as to why Meng wasn't involved in match. Col. Parker has to take his place which to me gives away the obvious loser of match. I presume they are trying to save Meng for further matches. Arn and Dustin start and they doing pretty good. Liked Dustin trying to jam Anderson's head between the two rings. Heels win the coin toss but it is botched quite a bit by Randy Anderson when he drops the coin. Could have had a do over there. Ha, Funk gets piledrived through the middle of the two rings. Studd Stable is waiting for Knobbs when he comes in the ring but he fights them all off. Arn gets his face rubbed all over the cage. Funk is wrestling without his boot and is getting beat with it. Parker is a nervous mess. He does whip the crap out of Sags with a belt. Parker ends up getting his ass beat as the good guys team up on him and he submits to the figure four with the Nastys dropping elbows at the same time. This was a great match and a lot of fun. I was disappointed it ended so quickly once Rhodes got in there. I just wanted more. Meng is very irate having to be outside the cage and witnessing this. Match delivered though for probably the best feud of the second half of 1994 so far.

[1994-09-18-WCW-Fall Brawl] Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan
More boos for Hogan. This is amazing stuff to me. The WCW crowd is just rejecting him. He won't turn for another two years. Hogan and Flair have a phone call that we get to witness. Hogan has the masterplan to get Flair back in the ring. Hulkster puts in career on the line even though he is the champion. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Flair accepts this one easily.

[1994-09-18-WCW-Fall Brawl] Vader vs Guardian Angel / Vader vs Sting
There is a triangle match set up to find out who will be the number one contender. I guess there was a coin toss and Vader had to face Guardian Angel first and winner then takes on Sting. Matches are 15 minute time limits. Last few minutes of first match as Vader wins with help of Race. Guardian Angel doesn't appear to be wearing the appropriate gear yet. Vader versus Sting then. Vader actually dominates pretty heavily at the first part of the match. Going for the moonsault early but missing. Sting hits a pretty damn impressive German suplex out of nowhere. Sting gets the scorpion death lock on but time limit runs out so we get a five minute overtime. Vader hits the powerbomb right at the end of the overtime but can't get the three count in time. This was messed up as the bell didn't ring when time ran out so Patrick was frozen at his two count. To sudden death now where the you only have to win by knocking your opponent of their feet. That might be the dumbest way to decide a match to declare number one challenger. Masked Man makes an appearance on takes out Sting so Vader wins. Match was pretty good until the overtime stuff which dragged it down a notch.

[1994-09-18-WCW-Fall Brawl] Steve Austin and Jim Duggan
Just wow. Austin gets awarded the U.S. Title as Steamboat can no longer wrestle. But there is an opponent for Austin and it is Jim Duggan. He beats Austin in seconds with pretty much a back body drop. Duggan does a promo afterward putting over Hogan. Was Steamboat seriously still trying to come back from this injury? Didn't seem like he was saying goodbye.

[1994-09-17-SMW-TV] Rock & Roll Express vs The Gangstas
Not really a match as it never officially starts. Just a brawl between two teams and much better suited for the Gangstas. Better match then the other ones. The SMW roster has to run down to try separate the teams in the ring when the referee is knocked out. Arena seems to be too big for the crowd as they show empty sections on TV. Brawl leaves the ring and heads to the outside. Even with all the wrestlers out there, they have a hard time keeping the two teams apart.

[1994-09-17-USWA-TV] Brian Christopher/Doug Gilbert feud recap
It is always tricky to make comparisons to previous things that were great. It can feel desperate at times. The clips shown are pretty good through. Whenever they tempt to cut Christopher's hair they make sure to only make a small trim.

[1994-09-17-SMW-TV] Rock & Roll Express vs The Gangstas
At least we know nobody will be hiding under the ring as there is no apron. This match was okay. The Gangstas probably should be doing only short matches. They end up getting the victory through illegal means. But Bob Armstrong shows up and has the referee reverse the decision and Express keep their titles. Not that finish again!

[1994-09-11] Sabu vs Al Snow
Much better than their ladder match from earlier on set. Sabu is really on with his high risk moves with little botches of the moves. Wrestling is pretty good between both guys also. Sabu threw an unfolded chair at the back of Snow's head which looked like it could really hurt. After the match, Funk shows up and things go crazy. He just launches Sabu in the air into the third row of chairs in the audience. Quite the spill. Post match is just something you have to see as the live crowd just seems to eat it up.

[1994-09-10-WCW-Worldwide] Vader vs Brad Armstrong
Bischoff and Jesse on commentary. Ventura thinks Bockwinkel will suspend Vader so he won't be able to face Hogan. Armstrong has the crowd behind as they pop big when he goes on the offense. He gets decent amount of moves in before Vader puts him away with the Powerbomb. Fun match with Vader looking like a monster but giving Armstrong enough to make it entertaining.

[1994-09-10-USWA-TV] Interview: Tommy Rich & Buddy Landell / Tommy Rich & Buddy Landell vs PG-13 / Tommy Rich, Buddy Landell and the Moondogs
Rich and Landell's strike seems to be over as they show up at TV for a match with PG-13. Quick match as the Moondogs show up and interfere. Brawl spills out to the parking lot with a bunch of people involved. I liked some random person on the street walking by this all and not even bothering to stop to watch. Like this is a regular thing that happens in Memphis.

[1994-09-04-WCW-Main Event] Arn Anderson & Bunkhouse Buck vs Ricky Steamboat & Dustin Rhodes
Fun match as you would expect with these guys involved. I presume this is the official end of Steamboat matches on the set. Studd Stable gets involved allowing Anderson to get involved. They do the dumb reverse decision when Sting comes down to tell the referee what happened. Such an inconsistent thing that annoys me when happens.
