[1994-07-16-USWA-TV] Jerry Lawler vs Tommy Rich / Tommy Rich and Jerry Lawler
Clips of a barbwired match between Lawler and Rich. The ring is set up with both the ring ropes and barbwire. Short clip per usual for USWA. Rich out for interview with some back history talk. They show clips of older action. Probably the best head shaving job I’ve ever seen. Lawler out to confront Rich and Sid interrupts later. Sid is sporting shorter and darker hair. He still remains incoherent whe he talks. Lawler takes a decent chokeslam and they sell it as really hurting Jerry.

[1994-07-16-WWF-Superstars] The Undertaker/Ted DiBiase feud recap
We missed out on some of these additional Undertaker's sightings on the yearbook! Undertaker debuts on the Heartbreak Hotel. This Undertaker is persuaded by money. Yeah, this feud was bad.

[1994-07-16-WWF-Superstars] Abe Schwartz vignette
Hey, I got a good laugh out of this. Abe doesn’t look like a natural baseball player whatsoever. And the face paid of a baseball with the stitches. The black and white old time baseball feel was a nice touch.

[1994-07-16-WWF-Superstars] Bret Hart commercial
The new generation videos WWF was putting out at the time. Bret Hart comes off as a more approachable wrestler, one of the people and less of a super hero.

What’s up with all the chickens at a school dance? Savage is his usual over the top in this commercial.

[1994-07-16-WWF-Superstars] Interview: Bob Backlund
Music and video footage shows Backlund from a different era of wrestling. His suit does not fit him. He makes a challenged to Bret Hart. Backlund seems a bit more heelish (though minor) here than I remembered.

[1994-07-15-AAA-Sin Limite] El Hijo del Santo & Octagon & Rey Misterio Jr vs Psicosis & Blue Panther & Fuerza Guerrera
First fall feels like a series of singles matches within a six man match and guys match up exclusively. Rey looks so tiny. Santo with a really cool hurricarana to win the first fall. That was very fluid in execution. Rey gets tossed to the outside with help but doesn’t do the full rotation to land back first. Thankfully Psicosis was in position to brace his fall. Some serious height on that. Third fall has some solid action. Santo was more involved in this match compared to some of the previous six man tags.

[1994-07-14-LLPW] Bull Nakano vs Shinobu Kandori (Chain)
They start roughing it up during the introductions. Different for Japan. Bull gets all choked up early with the chain when they are going a clothesline exchange. The chain just gives you the audio that makes all those punches a hell of lot worse when they wrap their fists. Nakano wraps her foot and then hits the top rope leg drop. That was pretty awesome. Hell of a lot more violent of a match then we have seen from ECW so far.

[1994-07-12-ECW-TV] Public Enemy & Hack Myers vs Dory & Terry Funk & Tommy Dreamer
Short match and a bit of a mess. Douglas comes down and attacks Dreamer. Public Enemy continue to brawl with the Funks and Grunge goes through the wall. The lockeroom empties to break up Douglas/Dreamer fighting. I figure they probably should have been trying to break up Funks/Enemy instead. Mr Hughes and 911 have a stare down also.

[1994-07-12-ECW-TV] The Sandman vs Mikey Whipwreck
The bleachers aren’t full yet at this point. Lots of younger members in the audience. They continue to put over how lucky Mikey is to win the TV Ttile. Mikey gets irish whipped face first into the bottom turnbuckle. Sandman pounds him and lights up a cigarette and then Cairo interferes. They were still doing DQ’s at this point.

[1994-07-16-WWF-Superstars] King's Court: Ted DiBiase
With this announcement, I’m surprised they didn’t do it in front of the crowd. Well Dibase has already signed Bigelow to the corporation and the newest member will be Lex Luger!

[1994-07-11-WWF-Raw] Bret Hart vs 1-2-3 Kid
We get two good guys wrestling for the WWF Title which is a rare treat with having Bret and 123 Kid involved. Handshake between the two at the start. The Kid may be the underdog but the fans seem to be still behind Bret more. Quite the turnaround from the Diesel match where now Bret is the one physically imposing his will on The Kid. They do a false finish where the Kid gets his foot on the ropes but still gets counted down for three. Bret is not pleased and they end up restarting the match. Big time sportsmanship there with the Title on the line. The Kid gets a run late with some close falls but must continue to take high risks which finally puts him away.

[1994-07-09-WWF-Nassau Coliseum, NY] Bret Hart vs Owen Hart (60-Minute Iron Man)
First time seeing this. I thought Owen was going to stay outside the ring and take a 10 count. He barely got back in. Would have been a bizarre way to lose a fall. No falls between the two for the longest period of time. I think there should have been atleast one in the first 20 minutes. Owen picks up two quick falls on back to back figure four leglocks. Curious as to why they didn’t use the Sharpshooter. I may end up liking this more then most people. Agreed that it should have had an earlier fall but with these guys involved I was really into the whole thing. Owen has the sharpshooter on as time runs on but we go to sudden death. Hebner is awful completely missing a pin attempt by Bret. Owen gets another sharpshooter but Bret ends up reversing it for the win.

[1994-07-09-WCW-Saturday Night] Ric Flair vs Sting
Triple H in the background as Flair comes out. Hogan makes his own appearance to sit ringside for the match. The Flair flop was pretty ridiculous. Heenan making sense that Hogan would want Sting to be chosen to soften Flair up. Very short match between the two. Such a convincing costume by Sherri as she interferes in match. Not wearing her usual makeup. Mr. T comes down to rescue Hogan.

[1994-07-09-WCW-Saturday Night] Interview: Hulk Hogan & Mr T
Hogan calls into the WCW Hotline to request Ric Flair vs. Sting in a match. Bringing out Mr. T is totally trying to recreate stuff that was done in WWF many years ago. Mr. T is going to back Hogan in the match at Bash as the Beach. Mr T's promo ain't that bad. Him and Hogan do those lame high fives from 10 years before.

[1994-07-09-SMW-TV] The Thrillseekers and Jim Cornette
Have we ever had a cake that never ended up in someone's face? I like Mark Curtis signing autographs and posing for pictures with all the stuff going in the background. That's not typical Cornette attire there. The fan keeps her composure and tapes all of this. Heavenly Bodies are back already if only for a week.

[1994-07-09-SMW-TV] Interview: Tracy Smothers & Bob Armstrong / Interview: Jim Cornette
Check out Cornette's computer. His mouse is bigger than my current keyboard. Twin six man matches are announced. Ron Wright makes an appearance and he is well dressed. He's not planning on waiving the flag at all. I always cringe at the Starrcade footage when Cornette blows out his knee. And there is reason for showing this as Hawk will be their tag team partner. Great reaction to this by Cornette.

[1994-07-09-USWA-TV] Jerry Lawler vs Tommy Rich / Interview: Tommy Rich & Dream Machine
Rich has changed up his gear. Who is doing the announcing here? Corey got the weekend off. I can barely understand Dream Machine when he is talking.

[1994-07-09-NJPW-Summer Struggle] Riki Choshu & Tatsumi Fujinami & Yoshiaki Fujiwara vs Shinya Hashimoto & Keiji Muto & Hiroshi Hase
Big names involved in this match. Fujiwara avoids the big swing ride. Mutoh wiffs on his entrance ramp move. I’m thinking about how great Fujiwara’s headbutts are and he promptly gets nailed with a Uranage by Hase. Hash kicks the hell out of him and plants him with a DDT. Submissions all around. Hash breaks them all up but only for a few seconds. Good match between these sides.

[1994-07-08-NJPW-Summer Struggle] Rick & Scott Steiner vs Keiji Muto & Hiroshi Hase
Steiners make their return to the yearbook as haven’t been seen since earlier in the year. Mutoh replaces Sasaki from the earlier match. Hase does the Rick Rudes hips wiggle and Scott takes big time offense to this. Rick tosses Mutoh away after this cartwheel elbow attempt. Scott practically drops Mutoh on his face with a belly to belly suplex. Hase interrupts a Steiner Screwdriver attempt. Boo! Bad looking Frankensteiner attempt by Scott. Barely even got Mutoh. Had plenty of suplexes to satisfy me but agree that the Tokyo Dome match was better. Last few minutes were very good.

[1994-07-08-NJPW-Summer Struggle] Jushin Liger vs Great Sasuke
Big dive by Sasuke within 30 seconds of the match starting. He ends up in the front frow after another dive attempt on to Liger. Sasuke continues to dominate with the arial moves. Liger has his moments but cannot remain in control of the match. Sasuke is more control of this match compared to the J-Cup one. Liger begins to take over but Sasuke does well to cut him off when he takes control. Back and forth towards the end with Liger finally pulling out the victory. I still prefer the J-Cup match to this but this was good as far as being more even.

[1994-07-06-USWA-Mid-South Coliseum] Jerry Lawler vs Bam Bam Bigelow
Lawler with flashy looking tights. Bigelow doesn’t seem to be anywhere close to 400 pounds as advertised. Corey seems to have the microphone up his nose during his announcing. Long match as far as what is shown for USWA. Gilbert and Dream Machine interfere for the DQ. Christopher brings his Kendo stick to clear the ring. Finally someone is USWA who actually comes to the aid.
