Was laughing how Giant was just going through the whole NWO and Nick Patrick thought he had a shot at getting the Giant. He deserving gets tossed to the outside for his poor effort. Numbers finally overwhelm the Giant. This is really one sided. Nobody from WCW wants to help. The real Sting shows up to say a few words to the Giant. He points the bat at the NWO after. They don't seem too concerned. Vincent has the balls to go to the ring after to try mess with the Giant. The Giant with Sting's bat is able to keep the whole NWO away. Good finish to things.

Hart's boots are very white. Shawn's already talking about going off on Bret Hart and both guys are suppose to be faces at this point right? Michaels takes shots at Bret's moveset. Oh, 1997. Sid brings the cameraman back stage. Austin wanders down to say hello in match. Vader beats Bret!

Sid was getting his cheers before the promo. Sid was all over the place from his Survivor Series through WrestleMania. He talks about apologizing for what he is going to have to do.

Oh this looks bad and right away someone goes flying off the scaffold into the barbwire netting below. Everyone else takes a dive after and we randomly transition into a match in the ring. They seriously need to precut these tables in Japan as there so needed to be some give on that powerbomb through the table at the end. Wow! Dude just bounced off it.

Kandori straight from a business meeting into a wrestling match. Monsoon would have lost it with her wearing a tie in a street fight. I want to see some statistics on table breakage in Japanese matches. If I am some furniture store in Japan I am showing clips of matches where tables are not breaking to put over how sturdy and strong my tables are. I was getting nervous at that finish with Kudo hanging over the side of the balcony but she gave up to avoid further damage which is a cool finish and avoids any unnecessary crazy bump.

Vince being charmed by Marlena seems very forced compare to his lusting for Miss Elizabeth.

Brother Love makes an odd appearance. Shotgun was a good testing ground for the eventual Attitude era.

Shotgun Saturday Night was required TV for me at the time. It had a very brief run but it was fun. Check out the ECW fan regulars in the crowd. They needed another announcer than McMahon to be hosting this type of show show.

Probably only in NYC would Blu Meanie walking around in that outfit go unnoticed. Big Stevie hits Santa with a superkick for not getting him the present he wanted when Richards was nine.

Full match. Now that is a brainbuster to finish things off. I can kind of see what OJ is getting at with Hash should have been destroying Choshu at this point. One brief moment, Hash got real aggressive with overhand strikes, grabs Riki in a side headlock and hits repeated knees to the midsection. Choshu is just dropped by this sequence but it seems like Hash does not follow up the aggression. This did not hurt the match but I can see Hash needing to carry things more with Choshu having to be more desperate in fighting him off.

Another edited match! Dragon spiked Liger on that top rope hurricarana. Dragon almost gets rolled up by his on cradle move. Running powerbombs for everyone. The brainbuster finished looked sick so I had to rewatch. Not for the best as Dragon actually went face first into Liger's crotch. Liger should have sold that.

I think I'll appreciate these Goldust segments/promos more now that I've actually since seen these movies he quotes from. Rhodes was really playing up the Goldust character here.
