If there was ever a wrestler that deserved being scalped it’s Konnan. He does a terrible job of selling punches to his ribs. What a crappy powerslam by Konnan. I was hoping for a Guerrero turn where he kicked Konnan in the nuts. Drive train starts and Caras cuts off Konnan and then kicks him in the nuts! I’m totally a fan.

Jim Cornette and the Heavenly Bodies in WCW!! I think it is nice that Cornette and the Bodies showed up in both WCW and WWF in 93. Watts response is great as he ain’t much for talking and would rather just see a match against the Rock N’ Roll Express. Nobody is wearing their wrestling gear but still ends up being a fun match.

Doink is making the Memphis studio more dangerous than ever. Dave Brown compares it to the Exxon Valdez spill. Lawler running down Doink and the WWF. Jerry, you will need Doink come Summerslam. Be nice. Lawler trying to explain that he ain’t a good guy in WWF because how he is treated in New York city. Downtown Bruno and Lawler talking about Howard Finkel. Just great. And it leads right into a Howard Finkel/Harvey Whippleman segment in WWF. Nice editing! Howard does a stretcher job and gets dumped on his head in the process and I’m just losing it. This must be the equivalent of the hair clippers not working on hair being shaved. Howard cuts a great heel promo on Downtown Bruno. This stuff was amazingly entertaining.

Shadow wasn’t much of a challenger. Oh, 1993 means a steady dose of Christopher. He lets us know over and over he will be shutting Lawler’s mouth. Doink with some banana peels. Lawler sells the banana peels big by slipping. I know it won’t be the same Doink but the Lawler/Doink fued was still going at the end of 94 in WWF.

Oh, like this one. Duggan has the gall to do the three point stance against a charging Yokozuna. Yoko was great at doing the teasing of getting knocked of his feet. Duggan is the first one to knock Yoko down and it is played up huge. Duggan is dumb as hell though and takes the time to wave the USA flag during the match and Yoko hits him with the bucket. Yoko squishes Duggan with the Banzai. What a way to make Yoko look like a monster though. Lots of crowd shots and then a zoom in of the American flag on the mat.

We are still doing WWF update. Gene lost weight over the years. Giant Gonzales! Well he did have a decent chokeslam. That outfit is ridiculous. Can’t wait until he chokeslams Fonzie at Summerslam. They are doing some fancy Lord of the Rings positioning by having Harvey stand five feet behind Gonzales to make him look even taller.

The big time stare down with Hash and Tenryu was great. Crowd was eating it up when they matched off right away. Tenryu takes one to the head and wisely tags out. Feels like a different Nogami from earlier yearbooks. We got a matching tights battle between everyone. Rock Bottom gets the victory! Hase gets in the ring to be an asshole.

Another Hogan/Flair match on free TV. I don't know what had a less successful rate for Flair: Him going to the top rope or his wild right handed roundhouse that always seemed to get blocked. The high heel shoe makes it's appearance much to WWF's amusement. Flair gets the big win over Hogan on TV.
