[1991-05-29-UWA] Blue Blazer vs El Canek (Mask vs Mask)
Can’t imagine there is any drama who is going to win this one. Owen with the Sharpshooter. Bret obviously learned it from Owen. Blazer’s mask seems different from his WWF days. Two falls are shown and Canek unmask Owen right away so this appears heavily edited.

[1991-05-26-AJW] Toshiyo Yamada vs Yumiko Hotta
Hotta doesn’t seem like the most fun wrestler to go up against. Lots of kicks to your head. Fluke type pin out of nowhere in this one which felt out of place.

[1991-05-25-WCW-Pro] Sting and Nikita Koloff
Koloff tries to say he doesn't have a problem with Sting but with his partner Luger instead. Sting seems to accept this as he turns his back on Koloff and gets clotheslined.

[1991-05-25-USWA-Memphis TV] Interview: Jeff Jarrett & Robert Fuller
Nice moment by Lawler for letting that fan on TV. Jeff is like the jockey who got on the stud horse and led them to win. Good stuff from Fuller.

[1991-05-25-USWA-Memphis TV] Jerry Lawler, Bill & Jamie Dundee
Lawler is back helping out on commentary. Bill and Jamie seem back together. Bill lost to Embry and has to leave to USWA for 30 days. Jamie volunteers to take Bill’s spot and leave for 30 days. Marlin goes along with it. So they had match twice and didn’t follow up with the stipulation either time. I wonder if Jamie had a change of heart for real.

[1991-05-25-WWF-Superstars] Event Center
I don’t get body building competitions, men or women. Couldn’t imagine going to see it live in person. Warrior and Savage cut promos for WBF.

[1991-05-25-WWF-Superstars] Bushwhackers Ice Cream Bars commercial / Funeral Parlor: Jake Roberts
The Bushwhackers are big fans of WWF ice cream bars. This was kind of disgusting and would not make me go out and buy one. Paul Bearer makes light of Damien’s demise and asks how the funeral was. He will build a casket for Lucifer when Earthquake squashes him too. Roberts doesn’t think the current casked will be big enough. Bearer goes to show how big it is but Lucifer is hiding inside. We don’t get to see Lucifer. Jake looked like he was about to have a breakdown during this but he was just setting up Bearer in the end.

[1991-05-25-WWF-Superstars] Update: Mr Fuji hasn't been paying attention
These segments are so predictable but fun as Fuji has a cake made especially for Andre. You know what happens. Fuji should have known better. I like Skaaland hanging in the background in these.

[1991-03-29-USWA Texas] Bill Dundee vs Eric Embry (Cage)
Much better as they have a cage match with also the ability to handcuff your opponent to it for a minute. Really liked the spot where Dundee handcuffed Embry three consecutive times and put the boots to him. Finish wasn’t great with ether being involved. Announcer was choking and coughing but the referee seemed complete fine and not aware of what happened. We end up having another belt held up.

[1991-03-29-USWA Texas] Jeff Jarrett vs Tom Prichard (Cage)
I was ready to congratulate them on the finish with Pritchard getting the chain but Jarrett managing to avoid getting hit with it multiple times and then getting the win. But Pritchard puts the chain in Jarrett’s trunks and the referee disqualifies him. In a cage match! This is getting frustrating. Stop using cage match, street fight, etc gimmicks if you are going to have standard wrestling match rules. As a wrestling match it was good but they need to just stick to wrestling if they are unable to use the gimmicks in full because of censors. I’m trying but I just can’t get my head around this.

[1991-05-21-WWF-Primetime Wrestling] Hulk Hogan in the studio
Hogan out to promote Suburban Commando (haven’t seen that one in ages) and his hotline. He seemed almost embarrassed after they showed a sneak preview. He talks about how many of his Hulkamaniacs in the crowd have won prizes on the his hotline. There was silence at this remark.

[1991-05-19-WCW-Superbrawl I] Ric Flair vs Tatsumi Fujinami
Introductions for both men feel cheap. Tough on everyone to bring in a guy like Fujinami to main event a big show. Crowd wasn’t into him. It was a step up from their New Japan match but by the end I was pretty much waiting for it to be over. Flair was trying hard but he started to way overdo it on the Flair flops.

[1991-05-19-WCW-Superbrawl I] Arn Anderson vs Bobby Eaton
Bobby Eaton’s big singles moment on winning the TV title and the cameras miss it! Pillman and Windham’s involvement was not necessary and especially took away from ending when camera was focusing on them running towards back. This is just bad TV production. I felt like this would be the best of the matches from this show so was disappointed with execution. Agreed that it probably could have been placed earlier on card.

[1991-05-19-WCW-Superbrawl I] Sting & Lex Luger vs Rick & Scott Steiner
I do appreciate them putting four big stars who are good guys in a tag match against either other at this time. There was excitement early seeing each guy pair off with each other and the crowd is into it. Luger fit in better than I thought but that side Russian neckbreaker looked strange as it seemed like Lex did the move to himself. Match had promising start but didn’t finish as strong as would like. Not having a clean finish was to be expected.

[1991-05-19-WCW-Superbrawl I] Sid Vicious vs El Gigante (Stretcher)
Gigante has trouble bringing the stretcher down ringside so we are off to a good start. Not sure why he bothered as though it is a stretcher match it is not the match type where you have to get your opponent on it and wheel them away from ring. Horrible match and fans say goodbye to Sid afterwards. We get some weak interference after the match with Sullivan and Gang attacking Gigante. The stretcher finally comes into play. Just really bad.

[1991-05-19-WCW-Superbrawl I] Missy Hyatt and Stan Hansen
Missy enters men’s locker room to try interview Z-Man or Pillman. She asks Taylor a question but doesn’t seem interested in the answer. Missy tries to sneak into the shower and out pops Hansen wearing just his boxers. He spanks her with his cowboy hat. Silly to see Hansen like this.

[1991-05-19-WCW-Superbrawl I] Fabulous Freebirds vs Young Pistols
I figured since it was the last few minutes it probably wouldn’t be much but from what we see it’s pretty decent action between all four. A masked man runs in towards the end. Those turnbuckle DDTs look familiar. It's Kobashi!!! I don’t know much about this Fantasia guy but outfit looked bad.
