[1990-02-06-NWA-Clash of the Champions X] Ric Flair & Arn & Ole Anderson vs Great Muta & Buzz Sawyer & Dragon Master (Cage)
The pre-match promos were off. Buzz Sawyer talk about Sting being in the match and Flair does a face promo. Muta gets a lot of cheers here and Sawyer takes a lot of dangerous bumps. The match isn't very good and most of it seem focused on Sting trying to get at Flair. Sting injuries his knee and WCW's main event plans with Sting/Flair at this point goes down the toilet.

[1990-02-06-NWA-Clash of the Champions X] Kevin Sullivan vs Norman The Lunatic (Falls Count Anywhere)
I didn't find this very enjoyable. Some lame brawling until they go backstage to the women's restroom. I'm surprised that Norman can read as he see that it reads Women's so he doesn't want to go inside. Eventually he does and he wins the match behind closed doors to get his revenge on Sullivan.

[1990-02-06-NWA-Clash of the Champions X] "I TRIED TO TELL YOU, I BOUGHT YOU SOME TIME"
This was executed well (besides Ole cutting a promo with his back to the hardcam). Didn't make much sense though since Sting had signed the contract well beforehand and there was no conflict among the Horsemen about that until now. Disappointing as the Horsemen face team was working out great. The main event of this show is now pointless.

[1990-02-03-NWA-World Championship Wrestling] Clash of the Champions X: Texas Shoot Out Commercial
This is really corny, but absolutely hilarious. I loved this promo. What was going on with the Steiners promo? Rick calls Doom sissies and then awkwardly looks at Scott. A bit of racism here with the promo from the Horsemen and the Samoan Savage.

This was great. It seemed to me that Lawler's ran about steroids was how he truly felt. More great promo work from Lawler here and another awesome segment from Memphis. This was surreal and just a joy to watch.

[1990-02-03-WWF-Superstars] Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior promos
These promos feel like they take place in some kind of alternate universe. Hogan's promo begins sensible enough and then gets bizarre (Warrior drinking from the devil's armpit?) and Warriors is nonsensical the whole time. These are really entertaining to watch and something I don't think we will ever see the likes of again in wrestling. The feeling I get from this is that both guys are supposed to be portrayed as mythological Gods heading into Mania.

[1990-02-03-WWF-Superstars] Jake Roberts vs Ted DiBiase
Fantastic angle here! The match was good, short, and doesn't give too much away so they can have the Mania match. A lot of nice DDT teases as well. The post match angle was brilliant with Boss Man turning face because he can't be bought. Is Boss Man the only person in the WWF besides Jake that isn't afraid of snakes?

[1990-02-02-NWA-Power Hour] Ric Flair vs Tom Zenk
Good match. Nothing too special here, but like others said this seemed like a broomstick match with Flair carrying Zenk. I guess Zenk came out to the Batman theme song here since he is the "Z-Man". I felt it was kind of odd that Flair worked as the heel here since he is supposed to be the face and had been great in that role up to this point. I guess he felt that was the role to take in this match where he was facing a babyface underdog.

[1990-01-31-NJPW] Jushin Liger vs Naoki Sano
Awesome match! This isn't your typical NJ juniors match, but it was fantastic. Sano absolutely destroys Liger in the beginning of the match and hits a nasty looking battering ram to the post. I also have to give props to the post match here with Liger throwing the belt down in disgust. This match wasn't about a championship, it was about hatred. Match of the month and definitely a match I will go back and watch again.
