WWE Network... It's Here
Funny enough, received an email survey from them today. First time since launch.

WWE TV 12/05 - 12/11
Charlotte's growth into the best heel the business has seen in years is really remarkable, arguably more so because of who her father is. But she's nonetheless become the best promo and character on Raw. Its really time for the Sasha feud to go on the backburner for a bit, as even if its probably my feud of the year certainly the most important feud of the year, they need to diversify that division ASAP. Very much looking forward to the iron man match at the PPV as I'm sure that'll deliver but sustaining the momentum these two have built in recent months requires adding a couple other gals to the mix. I'm normally in the camp that he must retire, but last night was the most I've enjoyed Big Show since the Reigns match on PPV after Mania last year. They kept it short and simple and he was quite effective. 3 hours is still so long. Looking forward to Smackdown and the AJ Styles show tonight. Perhaps starting to build for Taker at Rumble if that's the direction? As long as he's healthy and this ankle injury from TLC isn't a big deal I'll definitely be grabbing a ticket to the christmas MSG show in the next day or 2.

I hear about these surveys from time to time but have never received one. Wonder how large a sample they use. Are you on their mailing list. I haven't gotten anything about the Network for a year now since I unsubscribed from their mailing list. Yeah, regularly get emails from them at 2 addresses.

WWE TLC 2016
Thus far this is a bit underwhelming. They're going out of their way to make this about the ladder gimmick at every step rather than have a wrestling match that simply incorporates the ladder for a few spots and climbs/teases. Hope it picks up but to this point its been their worst outing during this feud.

WWE TLC 2016
I remain very excited for this show, potentially unreasonably so. Styles hasn't disappointed on a big show this year and is the only worker who's carried Ambrose to a good match in quite some time. Throw in the gimmicks, which you have to expect AJ will look to take advantage of in a unique way after seeing what he did against Reigns earlier in the year, and that should deliver. The women's and IC title matches also offer a ton of potential and there are at least promising directions they can go with everything else on the card. Add in that it won't be a 4 hour marathon and this guy is pumped for his time on the couch tonight.

WWE TV 11/28-12/4
Even though I wasn't really anticipating it, I think that TLC will be a lot better than Survivor Series, for pretty much the reasons you state. The two women's feuds have actually been pretty heated and personal, so having gimmick matches makes some sense, and they will benefit from the relative novelty of women's gimmick matches. AJ always has good main event title defenses, and I think he'll be able to maintain the sort of chaotic environment that makes Ambrose look best. They should just never do another chairs match. The Miz/Ziggler ladder match should be okay, but every recent WWE ladder match has been underwhelming because they're unwilling (and rightly so) to match the escalation of stupid spots that got them over in the first place. Do you really think they'll be able to resist? I completely forgot about Miz/Ziggler, but expect them to put on a pretty great match as well. They've clicked really well in recent months and while the ladder could bring things up or down a notch, they've had a while to prep this feud and match so I can't see that we'll be disappointed. Definitely don't think they can resist the Ellsworth bit, so all I can hope is they let get his pop and then get rid of him so the match can continue.

It did kind of creep up you, but on the other hand Smackdown has been a breeze to watch for quite some time now and I always look forward to their PPVs. An AJ Styles title match will almost always deliver, the two women's matches have solid potential and the tag division could see an interesting refocus with Wyatt & Orton as champs presumably building to a Mania singles match, while working with American Alpha, Usos, Revival or others until then. All I ask is that the main event not build to an Ellsworth climax.

What's the point of engaging in a discussion if all you can add is childish attacks on people who disagree with you? You don't have to consider why some people might find certain aspects or components of the product to be unappealing, or what they think might improve it. You also don't have to consider discussing why you seemingly find every aspect of the product so terrific, or what accounts for the difference in tastes with those who don't simply love all of it. But if you're not open to that why bother saying anything at all?

Live Wrestling: What are you watching, what are you going to watch?
Strongly thinking about hitting the Smackdown house show at MSG on 12/26. Its up against Raw but has a really fun lineup and I've been meaning to get back to the Garden. May go solo as there's no chance any friends are up for it and not sure its worth whatever IOU would come from forcing the wife to go, but its a fun looking show.

Have to agree with the sentiment on Owens. His matches been pretty awful working with Reigns of late, both this week and in the recent cage match, as well as with Rollins. Some of the worst big matches the company has produced of late. Can't quite put my finger on why, but its almost as if he's deliberately working to be a bore, only without using any fun & interesting shortcuts for heat or building to any kind of decent finishing stretch. Combine that with not taking a killer beating in any matches and the whole character is rather stale. Very curious what direction they're going with the title. Didn't think they'd move it back to Reigns this soon, but I can't imagine waiting for Mania to do Owens/Jericho if its for the title. Speaking of Reigns, it really is amazing. This isn't Luger where the character was just dead. It seems he'd be a blazing hot heel if they would let it happen, not to mention facilitate the babyface coronation down the road once that runs its course.

NXT TakeOver Toronto/WWE Survivor Series Weekend
Where do folks see things heading for the next Takeover over Rumble weekend? We're getting the Joe vs. Nak rematch in Japan next month where I presume Nakamura regains the title. Do they go back to this pairing for January or does Joe get a promotion and they try to get Roode up to that level? Gargano/Ciampa vs. AOP certainly looks like the next direction for the tag titles with the Revival apparently getting called up and AOP winning the Dusty tourney. Perhaps a bigger push for Sanity heading into that show resulting in a PPV match? Itami/Aries revisited? Or will either/both not be back in time? Presumably Ember Moon is next in line for a shot at Asuka, but that division has become a real weak spot with Bayley & Jax getting promoted. Some interesting characters and developmental talent underneath for the women, but absolutely none of them feel like credible TV challengers, much less for a Takeover.

NXT TakeOver Toronto/WWE Survivor Series Weekend
In other news related to the recent Takeover show, I started my MOTY rewatch a little early. Usually wait until December to go back and do so but decided to take advantage of the long weekend. I like to go chronologically for that purpose and thus far have watched the 3 big matches from Wrestle Kingdom as well as Brock/Reigns/Ambrose from Fastlane. Very much looking forward to Gargano/Ciampa vs. Revival finishing this little project sometime before the new year, as I could easily see that placing as high as #2. Still don't see any way anything approaches Tanahashi/Okada from WK. It didn't lose a thing on rewatch while a few points and spots even stood out more strongly than I remembered. Looking over the list of what I'm planning on rewatching this has been an absolutely incredible year for high end matches. Just absurd compared to recent years, and that's in spite of how much a chore the main television program has become.

Great <10 minute matches
Shuji Ishikawa vs. Ryoto Hama from 3/31/2016 should be on the list as well. And add Ishikawa vs. Konosuke Takeshita from 5/8/2016. That might even be under 5 minutes.

NXT TakeOver Toronto/WWE Survivor Series Weekend
Yeah. I love Dave, as for over 20 years he's been responsible for me checking out more wrestling domestically & internationally that I otherwise wouldn't have. I also don't doubt his intentions when watching matches, but we've been on different wavelengths a lot whether it be this pairing, Charlotte/Sasha HIAC, or the barrage of snowflakes that are thrown at just about every single NJPW main event and G1 match. And I'm probably a bigger New Japan fanboy than most. Yet the Observer arriving every Monday is still a tremendous highlight. Hopefully its far, far, far off, but we're in trouble if & when he decides to call it a day.

Great <10 minute matches
There's no more to rate there than any physical angle that wraps up a promo, or a sneak attack.
