Satoshi Kojima
Surprisingly little chatter for someone with as many stops and main events as Cozy. He's putting together a pretty terrific run on the senior circuit with a triple crown challenge against Aoyagi and pulling a legitimately very good match out of Tom Lawlor, who I generally have little use for. One night hardly makes a GWE case but *that* G1 match against Okada remains one of the most memorable matches of the era. Where are folks on Kojima these days?

WWE TV 12/25 - 12/31 Has Taylor Swift cursed the Chiefs?
Do I want to grab a ticket to MSG tonight? Feels like a fun show but as of now would have to fly solo and can't say I'm feeling like I have to do it.

The Iron Claw
As familiar as I am with the story through books and the Observer, you'd have to pay me a pretty hefty sum to sit through that for a couple hours.

Current New Japan
It was goddamn awful but at least I made good use of the time and only let it serve as background material. That NEVER Trios Title main event was terrific though.

WWE TV 12/18 - 12/24 CM Punk going to get mauled by Dominik Mysterio
I don't like The Miz. I don't think he's very good in the ring and beyond stale as a character that belongs on MTV reunion shows. But that was an absolutely outstanding match and far and away the company's best TV outing of the year.

AEW TV - 12/13 - 12/16 - Look In My Eyyyeee, What Do You See?
Fletcher & Komander may have crushed it in closing out SOTF last night, but Bryan Keith more than held his own and there's not much more satisfying than seeing someone break out and establish themselves like he did last night and tonight.

AEW TV - 12/13 - 12/16 - Look In My Eyyyeee, What Do You See?
Perhaps I was jaded by the initial feedback I saw suggesting a low end MOTYC, but Dragon & co. vs. Briscoe/FTR was very much very good rather than anything spectacular. It seemed like they (rightfully) went out of their way to hide and protect Danielson. Very much enjoyed the spotlight on Briscoe between his bumps at the end and scoring the fall, but far from a memorable classic. That's not to say it wasn't great, but the vibe from those watching live and online ratings suggested something at a very different level than what I saw.

For my money Brody/Claudio and Dragon/Kingston are the two best matches in the tourney thus far. Here's hoping we stay on trend in the weeks ahead.

Best Wrestlers Who Didn't Get Nominated
As someone who had Shuji on his ballot once or twice I should remember to nominate him soon. I'm not at all familiar with his death match work as that's generally something I stay away from, but he had a ~4-5 year run where between his work in BJW & AJPW he was among the best in the world. Not sure that's enough for him to ballot but certainly enough to warrant a nomination.

AEW TV 11/22 - 11/25 the CC begins!
It is 2023. Samoa Joe has been retired once, written off more than that and yet here he is as the #1 heel bringing stability to and anchoring a world title program. The Champ Is Here, indeed.

Continental Classic
Looks like a phenomenally fun tournament. Does anyone believe Danielson has a chance of making it through 5 matches over the next month, presumably a 6th at the PPV from the fallout, and then make the Okada bout a few days later without getting hurt?

Current New Japan
I've only tried it on the desktop where that doesn't seem to happen.

Current New Japan
Is there a way to play full shows on the new NJPW World? Perhaps I'm missing something but I seem to have to select each match file individually.

WWE TV 06/11 - 13/11 European Takeover
Perhaps an opportunity to debut Cargill in a setting with a spotlight and lots of bells and whistles to hide her work?

Didn't the masked guys at the end look like Strong, Taven & Bennett?

Is it possible to access WON/F4W podcasts through the Apple Podcasts app? If not, what do you folks use?

Current New Japan
Mox popping into the main event to fire up Umino but not overshadow things was really awesome. But, yeah, they did. Gedo is determined to show us that Finlay is next in the AJ/Omega/Ospreay line of top foreigners, but its an understatement to say that his work or presence aren't exactly matching the push.

WWE Crown Jewel - 11/2023
Pretty loaded show. Historically these also move quicker and have less downtime than traditional WWE PLEs, but with 7 matches scheduled for the main show it could run long. Between this and Power Struggle it looks like Collision is getting punted to tomorrow or sometime this week. Booking and time allocation will determine how this one fares, but between Seth/Drew, Cody/Priest, Iyo/Bianca and Rey/Paul there's a ton of potential with Roman/Knight and Cena/Solo the wildcards as far as quality.

Same here, going back to '96. Really sucks. I'm sure I'll figure out how to best utilize it on phone or laptop, but I am not a fan of this.

AEW TV - 11/1 - 11/4 - Remember, Remember
This feels like the worst episode of Dynamite in ages and its not even close. OC/Claudio underdelivered and given the length I'm not sure I'd even call it average. Every promo and angle this show has been a miss. Sting has nostalgia, wasn't overexposed for the last 2 decades, actually works to elevate Allin and has been used as a special attraction here. But now we're getting regular and prominent Copeland and Jericho every week along with Wight in the mix and more awful backstage comedy elsewhere. I've been defending the hell out of the show all year but its hard with Danielson out and the in ring falling to the levels of the out of ring creative.

FUN! Perhaps not the best match I see each week but they are such an easy watch and so joyful. A total breeze and enjoyable top to bottom.

AEW TV - 10/4 - 10/7 - Spooky Seazon Begins
That Cole/Roddy video was terrific content, a riot and absolutely not what I want from AEW. But Fenix/Nick Jax more than makes up for it.

Will Ospreay
We're now at the point where this guy has a half decade plus of being the WOTY or among the top few. If he retired tomorrow he'd be in my all time top quartile and I'd have to think long and hard about just how high to place him. His best days should be ahead of him but between injuries, booking and selective opportunities that's far from a given and yet it can't unwind one of the best careers to date. Really remarkable.
