Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
100%. On the other hand, the demographics of most pro wrestling fans likely render this a "smart" business move. #murrica

AEW TV 11/2-11/4
I hope I'm pleasantly surprised but if Shibata was going to wrestle actual, serious matches wouldn't they be in Japan? And if he was going to wrestle seriously in the US would it really be on a Rampage? It doesn't make much sense to me but we'll see what happens.

This was one of the worst, most pointless Dynamites I can recall. MJF MIA, Moxley may as well have been gone. Little build for anything of consequence on the PPV other than Storm/Hayter which had a nice video. A very WCW-like effort.

What I find curious is that Punk cares enough about something to have any story or angle pushed at all. What is is that he cares about I have no idea. But wouldn't have expected that.

I thought it was a great match but the hype coming out of it didn't do it any favors. I've preferred FTR's matches with the Briscoes, DIY and Bucks. This was great but not an all timer.

Wrestlers who want to leave should negotiate contracts that allow them to give notice. Put pen to paper and know what you're signing.

So what's the endgame for Roman Reigns?
If they're smart, they can get there with or without the Rumble.

Yeah Cody feels like the move and the timing at next year's Mania built around his return from injury couldn't be more perfect. But, Rock. Not sure how/when you get to Cody if big cousin is legit available.

AEW TV - 9/7-9/9 - Who Throws A Chair, Honestly
I really wish I appreciated Castagnoli as much as everyone else does but he rarely clicks at that level regardless of opponent. We're just oil and water.

WWE TV 09/05 - 09/11 Cody Rhodes, the smartest man in wrestling
That 6 man tag was terrific. Pretty rough debut for Sikoa even with a predictable finish but I can't complain about a show with one match as good as the opener.

Aren't they still together?

Not to get all Eric Bischoff because I don't know what comes of this and wouldn't suggest anything good does (even if possible), but I love a good drama and this has promos, star power, violence, rumors and endless speculation. Happy to be along for the ride. Oh and by the way no matter how fault should be apportioned at the end of the day it falls at Tony Khan's door because his name is on the door. But gimme the juice!

WWE TV 08/29 - 09/03 Roman's Reign is in jeopardy
Is there any chance at all they'd actually end Roman's reign on a Saturday afternoon eastern time?

WWE TV - Week of 8-15
Am I crazy or was that 5 way the company's best TV match this year?

AEW TV - 8/10 and 8/12
He got squashed and cut a smarky promo that was probably too cute and then not followed up on at all. I'm not as high on his character as most but fully expect his return to blow the roof off a building when given the opportunity.

AEW TV - 8/10 and 8/12
What wrestling don't you love? Not trolling, but you seem to find the glory in every single thing you watch.

AEW TV - 8/10 and 8/12
The trios tourney bracket further suggests that Omega/Ospreay remains the plan for Wrestle Kingdom.

AEW TV - August 3/5, 2022
An Omega return certainly seems imminent but it seems as though they've learned their lesson about promoting those returns rather than using them as surprises. But we shall see.

AEW TV - August 3/5, 2022
Tonight's lineup looks like the weakest they've presented in quite some time. Barring some sort of major angle with the Undisputed Elite or Moxley I'm not sure what the hook is for 2 hours.

Yeah, it seems to be happening in a bubble from all the chatter out there. While far from a blowaway tourney, its still been pretty great by my eyes. Shingo/Yoshi-Hashi is probably my favorite match thus far with ZS/KENTA and Tana/Naito not far behind. Regardless of what else is going on you can count on something great on almost every G1 show. Except night 3. That was an absolute waste.

Ring of Honor Wrestling
What do these wrestlers who step away from wrestling do? Do they have 9 to 5s?

AZM vs Starlight Kid (STARDOM)
A remarkable feud given how young they were when first paired off and that both undoubtedly have their primes ahead of them. They've already flip flopped heel/babyface roles and surely will again at some point. Pretty cool to be able to watch talents develop at this rate and still have so much to look forward to.

I haven't yet seen the show. Planning on watching today but the announcement that Danielson is cleared and returning this week makes it a resounding thumbs up before seeing a single minute.

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
I hope we find out what put this into motion. Pending WSJ, Real Sports or other pieces? Fox/NBC putting in the call? Its notable that both of WWE's broadcast partners remained silent on this news. Supposed I'm cautiously optimistic on the impact this'll have on the product, but not holding my breath. It sounds like Kevin Dunn should be next out the door and hopefully that means production is steered away from his/Vince's seizure-inviting style. As noted elsewhere here, Steph is born, raised and fed on Vince's creative philosophy so I'm not sure we should expect any dramatic changes to the product. Maybe the women's division returning to the Divas era doesn't happen? Maybe some smaller wrestlers are given a realistic chance on the main roster line with Levesque's work in NXT? Maybe not. But having a glimmer of hope that something will change for the better is better than not.

You'd have to work hard to convince me Ospreay vs. Omega isn't penciled in for Wrestle Kingdom at this point.
