NJPW Wrestling Dontaku show
Finally got a chance to watch this and thought it was the weakest big NJPW show in a long time, perhaps a few years. It wasn't bad, but there wasn't a single great match. I liked the junior HW tag as I dig the Young Bucks' schtick and think Roppongi Vice have a nice little role there, but they didn't make particularly great use of Fish & O'Reilly here who felt like second class citizens. The main event was good, but lacked any heat whatsoever, and as someone who's never been a big fan of Goto, well, this didn't do anything to change my mind. Nak can probably produce a good match with anyone on the roster, but I wanted great in a main event title match and this wasn't that. The tags featuring Ibushi/Honma, Tanahashi/Ishii and Styles/Okada were all fine, but in each case they seemed to be holding back so as to take things easy and wait for a big singles match down the road rather than deliver anything particularly special on this night. Not bad, but nothing you had to see as it felt like they were working this on a pass/fail basis.

Global Force Wrestling
Framing it both ways has its merits, but the answer is always the money. If GFW or any promotion could receive funding sufficient to run its operations from going the online route I'm sure they would. That's not to say they've all necessarily been prudent enough to explore it, but its also silly to compare a minor league wrestling promotion with a show like Community, which even if it received horrible television ratings still had an established fan base of X million viewers, which forms a base from which an online site can project certain viewership and dollars from bringing it aboard.

Dylan, weekend is here. Throw some PR at me.

Who has the trifecta as a HOF candidate?
Really terrific info here. Great to hear this fleshed out and only a shame more details at this level aren't available throughout history.

Terry Funk
Late-90s or 00s Funk will not impact his ranking for me. Big believer that you don't judge Willie Mays by the Mets years or Jordan on the Wizards.

Exile on Badstreet #3 = The Rebirth of the Indies
I finally got through this recently and enjoyed the hell out of it even though my familiarity with many of the groups discussed is limited to reading about them in the Observer. I know the name Rob Naylor from this board, but his enthusiasm is infectious and ropes you in even when its a subject you're not even hot for. Good times.

RIP Verne Gagne
Reports are out that Verne Gagne passed away this evening. Arguably one of the oldest living legends in the business, I'm looking forward to reading extensive recaps of his career and influence. Meltzer should be on top of his game here as with this taking place on a Monday night he's got about as long a window as possible to put together the obit.

Not closing the book on PR at all, as I've liked the Hansen stuff I've seen there and even some insanity with Colon & Abby. This didn't make the grade, though I fully recognize that the gimmick is an incredibly difficult one to make exciting beyond a couple teases and the climactic bump. Give me blood and weapons and crowds that look like they may burn down the city and I will likely be a happy man.

Extreme Rules 2015 As It Happens...
2 good things about the main event: 1) It didn't run long like a Raw main event so despite not being a good match and a shit finish, I got to bed at a more respectable time. 2) Tonight's Monday so we can start over.

Extreme Rules 2015 As It Happens...
Feels like the worst Rollins PPV match we've gotten. This is a bad Orton night thus far.

Extreme Rules 2015 As It Happens...
I fucking hate Big Show. But that was the best match of his I've seen in I don't know how long, perhaps ever. Impressive showing.

Extreme Rules 2015 As It Happens...
Kidd & Cesaro vs. New Day - not at all a fan of switching the titles, but I loved this match. Give it a ton longer than I ever would've imagined and they made the most of it. Cesaro with his power spots, great near falls and creative saves - see Cesaro's headbutt, a couple sick dives, awesome heat. Win for everybody. Maybe even ***3/4 good.

Extreme Rules 2015 As It Happens...
Solid match that did a better job making Neville seem like a player than he has on Raw thus far.

WWE TV Week April 20 - 26
There is zero reason for Dana to say anything other than what he did. If that's his position, he makes it clear right away. If not, he ensures a great position to negotiate from ensure UFC is compensated as much as possible for loaning out one of their top drawing cards for a payday during her prime. There's just advantage to saying anything else at this time.

Extreme Rules Predictions
You will definitely win. Shameful as it is to admit, Sunday night here outside of a big football game or Rumble/Mania/exciting PPV means a big salad and healthy dinner. But I may have to supplement it with some ketel. TBD.

Damn. I was really looking forward to this but if this is the best PR has to offer I'm not sure I'll find a whole lot to love. Despite having a much wider platform to work with (literally -- this scaffold is probably 50-100% wider than in Dundee vs. Koko), they didn't take much advantage of the situation and did a worse than usual job of teasing the falls. Short of a couple interesting wrinkles near the finish there wasn't much here to capitalize on the visual or tease a deathly fall. Pretty disappointing.

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
It's 2015, why are you reading a site that buries the credit for the source of a news item at the very end where most people will miss it while going out of its way not to mention the source in the text? Not defending 411's tactics, but why would the average person reading from a website care about credit for the contents? I understand why its a big deal to those involved. But the masses simply want their content.

WWE Network... It's Here
Not home right now so I can't check, but does the '05 version of One Night Stand include the original music or is everything dubbed over?
