WWE Backlash 2018
Nonsense like this pushing shows well past 3 hours is infinitely more offensive and leaves a much worse taste in my mouth than any Brock/Roman finish or other booking. Literally crapping on my night.

WWE Backlash 2018
Nia Jax as Stuart Smalley. That should go far.

WWE Backlash 2018
Miz vs. Rollins I'm nowhere near as high on Miz as most are, but this may have been his best match ever, and Rollins continued his recent terrific run here. Well paced, terrific selling, excellent counters and transitions, near falls that weren't overdone. This match hit on every note. If we get anything else at or above this level this show will be a massive home run. ****

Proposal for 2018: Match Review Trades
There are actually a pair of threads for it here, in both the 80s folder as well as the Portland-dedicated folder: http://prowrestlingonly.com/index.php?/topic/35875-buddy-rose-ed-wiskowski-vs-roddy-piper-rick-martel-23-falls-8280/ http://prowrestlingonly.com/index.php?/topic/22466-buddy-rose-ed-wiskowski-vs-roddy-piper-rick-martel-pnw-080280-23-falls/ Thanks for that. I tried a search but just ended up with the neverending Buddy Rose thread which didn't survive the switch to a new board upgrade years ago without formatting getting demolished. Tell me about it. I'm constantly referring to that thread whenever I get around to watching Portland. It makes for long afternoons

The Ron Fuller Podcast (Studcast)
Why sit through commercials on shows you DVR? Why go to the bathroom during commercials? Not everyone can allocate the same amount of time to all pursuits. If someone wants to pay me to listen to podcasts at any particular speed I'll certainly consider any offers, but comments like this that let people spout knee jerk, consequence free hostilities is exactly what is wrong with the internet.

Dave Meltzer stuff
That's how I still get it. All Dave really cares about is writing the Observer like he's done it for 30 years, so I'd rather read it the way it's intended. If they had PDF versions of the print edition, or the issues were properly indexed and formatted for the web, I'd consider it. The rest of the website isn't a value-add for me - none of the podcasts are particularly interesting, what little bit of their message board I've seen seems like a wreddit you have to pay for, and their web template is awful. I still get it in print for exactly these reasons.

This killed me. Bravo.

Greatest Royal Rumble?
Roderick/Danielson chopfest starts around 4 hours and 22 minutes into the show. 4:22:10 to be exact. Mahal being a fool happens around the 1 hour and 11 minutes into the show. 1:11:59 give or take. Thanks a lot!

[2018-05-04-NJPW-Wrestling Dontaku] Will Ospreay vs KUSHIDA
Boss Rock touched upon all of my high level thoughts on from this match. Perhaps a bit more screaming from Ospreay than I'd like, but since the Scurll match at Sakura Genesis his selling has been terrific and that continued. Whether it was putting over Kushida's typically excellent arm work or the attacks to his neck, the selling was great. That big punch from Kushida was absolutely terrific and one of those exclamation point moments that brings a match to a new level. Bonus points for putting together a compelling and well executed finishing stretch without going overboard. ****1/4

Greatest Royal Rumble?
Can anyone provide timestamps for Jinder's botch and Bryan getting his chest chopped up by Roddy?

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
I was wondering about this as well. His title defense against Ilja in December was outstanding, and had really grown on me as a top line heel presence and worker. Then out of nowhere stripped of the title and seemingly gone from the promotion.

The Pro-wrestling Curve of Attractiveness
Goddamn right it is. Especially when looking in the mirror.

Best workers of the 2010s (so far)
Okada, Tanahashi, Shuji Ishikawa, Daniel Bryan, AJ Styles and Io Shirai are the names that immediately come to mind.

The Pro-wrestling Curve of Attractiveness
Definitely curious what other prominent work he's had that I'm missing. It may be pure envy, but Tanahashi certainly has some terrific hair. I'd put that on my head any day even if I could never pull it off I think Daniel Bryan was pretty good and normal looking pre-beard.

The Pro-wrestling Curve of Attractiveness
My wife isn't into any wrestlers. Either too much ink, too much hair or too roided up. Said John Cena would have potential if he got rid of the muscles, but apparently not much that I watch works for her.

WWE TV 04/30 - 05/06
I wouldn't complain if every TV show were in Montreal.

Is it just me or is Cole claiming everyone is in their 11th Rumble?

Greatest Royal Rumble?
This match just needed three rings and Jim Powers to be totally complete. Don't forget about...THE YE-TAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! This comment is our MOTN.

Greatest Royal Rumble?
So that was a finish.

Greatest Royal Rumble?
I can see that, but would need vintage production and commentary to share the sentiment.
