[2000-02-12-OVW-TV] Nick Dinsmore vs B.J. Payne / Nick Dinsmore vs Damaja
BJ Payne is an awful name to have. The matches were solid, but the continual interference becomes tiring.

[2000-02-12-MPPW-TV] Robert Gibson vs Tommy Rogers
This starts with an interesting promo as Gibson appears to be the heel until Rogers tells the crowd to shut up. Solid match that ends with the referee getting involved by kicking Gibson's hands off the ropes leading to pulled tights and a fast count. I hope we get a longer match down the line.

[2000-02-12-MPPW-TV] Derrick King vs Chris Michaels vs Alan Steel
The tape skipping obscured parts of the match, but this looked fun from what we could see. King seems to have potential.

[2000-02-12-NWA Wildside-TV] Mega Rumble
This was worth watching for Bailey's opening promo. It wasn't a great battle royal, but they did have a fun roster of giant fat guys. That Rivera guy was huge and he jumped off the apron to the floor.

[2000-02-12-AJPW] Kenta Kobashi & Jun Akiyama vs Stan Hansen & Johnny Smith
Good back and forth match. Even though he is overweight and doesn't move as well, Hansen still possesses the spirit necessary to make his exchanges interesting. Smith plays his role competently. He is overmatched by his competition, but he can hold his own enough to get a powerslam or some other move to keep the fight going.

[2000-02-12-CMLL Japan] Mil Mascaras & Dos Caras & Alexander Otsuka vs Apolo Dantes & Violencia & Ikuto Hidaka
This felt like more of an exhibition than a competitive match, but it was fun. Violencia getting the crowd to cheer for him was humorous. Mil and Dos both looked good for their age, and Dantes did a good job of selling by grunting in his exchanges with Mascaras.

[2000-02-11-CMLL] Atlantis vs Villano III
This was a great angle. Even if Villano just went to the back to swing momentum like a tennis bathroom break, it would be heelish, but it does look like he went further and pulled the switcheroo with the fresh brother. The justifiably angry Atlantis is ready to put the masks on the line in a final battle against Villano III.

[2000-02-10-Toryumon] Susumu Mochizuki & Yasushi Kanda vs MAKOTO & TARU
This one needed more selling and more places to breathe. None of these guys really imparted any sense of character, so this one ended up being on the boring side.

[2000-02-08-CMLL] Blue Panther vs Olimpico
Bloodthirsty Blue Panther strikes again. In no time, he's got Olimpico's mask ripped open and has drawn blood. It's so disgusting when he licks his paws. Olimpico gives him a taste of his own medicine by grabbing the ropes to win the match. This had a lot of clipping, but what we saw was really good.

[2000-02-08-CMLL Japan] Fugaz vs Ricky Marvin
Ricky Marvin's high flying was impressive, but the match didn't click for me. I wasn't sure what Fugaz was doing. Was he playing to the crowd or was he heeling? I thought at first he was trying to get cheers, but then he shouted "I am your father" at them. The finishing stretch felt a bit clunky. Average match.

[2000-02-06-AAA] El Cobarde vs Tiger Steele
Terrible match. Steele didn't look like he was trying half of the time. Cobarde is the type of wrestler that causes people to give up on lucha. He's old and moves in slow motion. He's got a giant as his opponent, but he's not doing any bumping. Steele went down for the back body drop, but Cobarde took forever to do anything with it and made Steele look stupid. The referee hijinks made this one even worse.

[2000-02-05-OVW-TV] Flash Flanagan vs Trailer Park Trash
This was so convoluted with the multiple referees, interference, and then Rico getting the pinfall over Flash. The individual wrestlers all look to have potential, but Cornette's booking is holding them back instead of helping.

[2000-02-05-MPPW-TV] Battle Royal
Watch for the spot where one wrestler rams another wrestler's head into the turnbuckle repeatedly. The guy stops and lets go, but the other continues to knock his own head into the turnbuckle.

[2000-02-05-MPPW-TV] Jim Cornette vs Randy Hales (Lumberjack Strap)
Couldn't they have found Randy Hales some tights? The match came across as terribly awkward as Cornette isn't convincing giving a beating and Hales is completely out of his element. There wasn't much use of the straps for something billed as a lumberjack strap match.
-
[2000-02-05-MPPW-TV] Tracy Smothers vs Scotty Sabre
This was a failure of a match. Sabre badly messes up jumping over the rope and struggles in the hook the arms of the posing wrestler spot. The overrated Smothers repeats the spot instead of moving on. Who knows why there needed to be a run-in to help beat an opponent as weak looking as Sabre. Nobody came out of this looking good.
