Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
The classic, but rarely discussed, encounter between Randy ‘Macho Man’ Savage and The Undertaker from the early 1990s should be the first (and maybe only) wrestling you show your friend. Let us know how it goes.

Definitely feels like the only transition they know how to book.

Greatest Royal Rumble?
Just like here. The Wrestlemania 35 live thread will heavily feature El-P content/complaints, with several hot tags into shodate.

Greatest Royal Rumble?
Somehow already watched much of a five hour show, but jumped around a bit, and haven't read anything. Initial thoughts: - I watched the opener at the Austin, TX airport on my ipad, with no sound, and let out an audible laugh when HHH's music hit. With how the card looked, it made sense to dump that match there, but was still funny. Can't imagine I'll ever rewatch the match, but my takeaway was three words: slow mo wrestling. - Look, we're well past the point that if you want to avoid spoilers of anything with even a minor degree of popularity, you need to avoid all social media, not just the accounts you know would reference the event or story. That's hard enough, but it's another goddamn thing when you open the google app on your phone to search for something random and the first google news story that automatically pops up is 'greatest royal rumble braun strowman'. It didn't ruin the event, but it's just so frustrating. I fortunately was able to squeeze in an 11:30 am showing of Infinity War yesterday while technically on a work trip. That's the bullshit you need to do in 2018. - The Titus thing was funny, but also felt a bit like punching down. - This would be no surprise, but the entry times varied wildly, yes? - Great to see the Usos and BBs have an actual match rather than a sprint squash. - Double seemed like the right move for Styles/Nak. Also seemed like a much better match than Wrestlemania, but I haven't revisited the latter and my opinion could still be the result of WM fatigue. - Enjoyed Saxton referencing the Royal Rumble 1994 casket match. It remains canon! - Hated the Lesnar/Reigns match, but was totally on board with the finish (if botched a little with the feet thing). At times it was tough to analyze the event given it really was just a glorified house show, but with a lot of hype and a live showing on the network. If you were going to book that match and not have Reigns win, the finish felt like one of the only ways to come out of it without it being another disaster.

Who was a bigger star at his peak?
This isn’t dispositive either way, but interesting as a data point...did Hardy move the needle at all when he went to TNA?

Roman Reigns as the ace post-Wrestlemania
I was rolling my eyes a bit at all the talk of Lashley being big enough to main event Summerslam. His return doesn’t feel anything like Lesnar in 2012. But I was on the company’s youtube page last night and his return segment dwarfs everything else in views (like, 5.4 million to next highest in the low 2 millions). So...hmmm.

Post-Mania WWE TV (04/09 - 04/15)
I know it’s a live action cartoon, a lot of time for the kids, but good God, Charlotte’s promo wardrobe is brutal.

Wrestlemania 34
Why would they close with Roman walking up the ramp like that? ‘Political hit’ was always dumb, but what if I now suggest to you that...it wasnt?

Wrestlemania 34
Imagine someone doing a Wrestlemania rewatch years from now and coming across the last three. 300 minutes for this one

Why was the crowd not running out of there? They expecting more?
