Dave Meltzer stuff
Dave saying in the post-No Mercy show that the Miz isn't good in the ring and that most people are in denial because they don't watch other stuff was cringe worthy.

Maybe this Evolve thing needs it's own thread? I don't know, but this meltdown from Gabe is worth posting at least. http://www.voicesofwrestling.com/2017/09/25/email-leaks-lawsuits-evolve-uncertain-future/

No Mercy 2017
You seem to be the outlier on Reigns/Cena. I won't be able to see it for a few days at least and really, given my time constraints right now, wasn't going to watch it at all given the feedback. Care to go into more detail? As someone who also enjoyed Reigns/Cena, I gotta tell you that I'm generally fan of the WWE "Big Match John" formula. As such, I really enjoyed the AJ Styles match at the start of the year. If you didn't enjoy that, this will probably not be for you. It's on the lower end of his big matches but I thought what was there worked really well. I enjoyed how it progressed and the spots they were able to get in and I thought it paced itself quite well. I seem to be in the minority so there you go. "Big Match John" feels like a different creature after the Owens feud (after the Bryan match?). The Bryan match seems like an outlier, Cena was already going into finisher kickout fest after the Rock and Punk feuds. The match with Bryan was his last big matchup that didn't have a bunch of moves and nearfalls. In hindsight, what D-Bry did with Cena and HHH looks even more impressive considering what both of them did after facing him.

No Mercy 2017
That sounds fine by me, always thought there was more money on them rejoining than facing each other. But the reunion would be wasted if they don't have a good feud and it doesn't seem like anyone can fill that role.

No Mercy 2017
Brock can only do german suplexes, kick out of finishers and do F5s now. But he can still bump his ass off as he showed at Summerslam and during tonight's first 2 minutes of the match. I don't mind him winning but I'm baffled that after all the crazy shit we've seen Braun do this year they didn't book 1 single memorable thing for the biggest match in his career.

No Mercy 2017
Really weird that after the matches Braun had with Show, Reigns and his performance at Summerslam, they went with the tamest possible match imaginable for his encounter with Brock.

No Mercy 2017
Welp, that was underwhelming.

No Mercy 2017
He didn't say anything concrete on the E&C podcast but he still made it clear he's fazing out and will make Taker/Jericho like returns when "it's worth it".

No Mercy 2017
It did not meet my crazy/stupid high expectation, but I still had fun with Cena/Reigns. It was an even more ridiculous spotfest than AJ/Cena, I was hoping Roman could make John do something different but I was entertained nonetheless.

No Mercy 2017
if both main events deliver as we expect, this is show of the year easily.

No Mercy 2017
I thought for sure he was going to turn on the crowd, seemed planned after the reaction he got. Then he cut that promo and I understood why he got booed out of the building.

Holy shit, Miz was over as fuck. Why does the crowd hate Jordan that much?

WWE TV September 11-17
Last week it was RAW, this one is Smackdown... Taken by Wade Keller during Shane's promo. A question no related to the photo....can we atribute SD becoming less interesting after the "superstar shakeup" - even though having a better roster than before - to the change from Ward to Road Dogg as lead writers or nah? I mean, NXT took a similar dive in quality when Ward was taken from the top writing position.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
https://twitter.com/reasonjp/status/910344255037673473 So a promotion with one of the most taxing styles decides to give their talent more rest, good to hear.

Bobby Heenan RIP
That was a nice video put together by WWE, did they do another were people talked about him? Would love to hear Vince again. I remember watching the "Greatest Managers" DVD back in the day and being mind-fucked by Vince praising Bobby's wrestling abilities saying "he could have a 5 star match any day of week" or something along those lines. Never in my life I expected Vince to utter those words. People don't want to have this discussion in a RIP thread, why or how is that hard to understand?. You were told you could continue to have this discussion elsewhere. Why the fuck would you still try to post about the same subject again in this thread? It blows my mind you chose a Bobby Heenan RIP/Appreciation thread to derail the discussion for a really meaningless take about 1 wrestler not liking the guy.

Bobby Heenan RIP
Hard to find a more entertaining guy in the history of the business. GOAT manager. He fought cancer for a long ass time, RIP.

This is from Monday, yikes.

WWE TV Sept 4-10
I agree, but to me that's a completely different discussion than him HAVING to win the title against Brock because that's his only chance to ever be "the man".

Austin wasn't pushed up then down and is also may be the most charismatic wrestlers of all time. He's feuded with the brand's top star for months, got out over huge in the Summerslam main event and is working Lesnar for the title at the next PPV. The trigger has already been pulled. He loses to Brock at No Mercy and he will never be the man in the company again. You can't tease someone to the top, have them fail, then expect to get that back again in the future. This is sarcasm, right? No. Look at anybody they brought in pushed to the top, given some huge matches, lost them, moved down the card, then tried to make a star. It doesn't work. Mark Henry. And Braun isn't gonna be booked like a joke for years before getting a huge push again so he doesn't even have to worry about that. This

This is sounding like The Rock/Cena promos arguments that made the internet go crazy when they were feuding.
