WrestleMania 34 - Card Speculation Thread
Least shocking development in while by WWE.

WWE TV 6/26-7/3
Did Joe made a turn for this Brock feud or is he still a heel? Haven't checked RAW since Braun got injured and missed this whole build with Lesnar.

G-1 Climax 27
Omega/Okada in a 15-20 minute would be outstanding and much better than any of their previous matches. I hope they finally go that route.

G-1 Climax 27
Considering this is Nagata's last G-1, I'd like him to either headline or semi main event in Sumo Hall (for one of the "semi final" shows) against Tanahashi, in a throwback to the feud that brought the company back from the grave. If the plan is Naito at WK, Final probably is him beating Omega. If the plan is Omega vs Okada IV, I think the final is him beating Ibushi. And a huge mistake, he has to win imo.

Current New Japan
Considering it's Gedo, getting Omega vs Okada III so soon is no shock at all to be honest. I hope Naito wins the whole thing. I much rather have a WK with Okada vs Naito for the title with Omega vs Ibushi underneath.

Any other longterm fans starting to feel alienated by the current fanbase?
Bryan also loves popping the crowd so I wouldn't put past him doing similar high risk stuff to what he was doing in WWE. He's one of those guys that even though "gets it", he also doesn't know any better. He's even said it himself a couple of times.

2017 MOTY Yes/No Thread
Nominating Kento Miyahara vs Suwama - All Japan 6/11/!7 Kento just gets it man. Instead of having bloated matches he just works around a very simple story and then transitions to a dope finishing sequence were the drama escalates and any flaw the match has is reduced to a minimum because the length is short enough for them not to bother anyone. Another really fucking entertaining match from him that doesn't go past the 20 minute mark. Probably easiest wrestler to watch right now in Japan that will give you a fun match every time.

WWE Money In The Bank 2017
Didn't watch much of the first hour. Main event was a fun spotfest and also thought Jinder vs Orton was fine with some cool moments. Miserable show kayfabe wise though, the only "feel good moment" was Naomi winning? Jeez... Congratulations?

Dave Meltzer stuff
To me, this is great. Not only do we get funny reactions to a useless star rating but I think it eventually will make people stop caring so much about them, and that's awesome news.

Meh, let's wait a couple of years first and see how things unfold. It's pretty common for people that are starting to "open their eyes" to wrestling outside of WWE to take Dave's word and opinion like a big deal. Then those fans get older and that influence wains down. Shit, I've read people that started to get into the New Japan wave in 2012-2013 getting less and less enamored by it. I agree with Matt that if all these opinions bother you, the best solution is staying off twitter when it comes to wrestling.

WWE Money In The Bank 2017
Is anyone watching WWE weekly TV anymore in this place? There hasn't been a thread for it in like 3 weeks I've barely watched anything besides PPVs after Mania and the last few weeks I haven't even bothered reading what's up. Was kinda surprised seeing on twitter this Sunday is the MITB show. Card so far is 1) The Usos (Jey and Jimmy Uso) © vs. The New Day (Big E, Kofi Kingston, and/or Xavier Woods) - WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship 2) Kevin Owens vs. AJ Styles vs. Baron Corbin vs. Sami Zayn vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Shinsuke Nakamura - Money in the Bank ladder match for a WWE Championship match contract 3) Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Natalya vs. Tamina vs. Carmella (with James Ellsworth) - Money in the Bank ladder match for a WWE SmackDown Women's Championship match contract 4) Naomi © vs. Lana - WWE SmackDown Women's Championship 5) Jinder Mahal © (with The Singh Brothers) vs. Randy Orton - WWE Championship

Charlotte vs The Miz
Didn't you hate great match theory?

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
Agreed. Hama is at this best when paired against Strong BJ.

Fuck NO to Okada vs Omega II

Current New Japan
Honestly, if you pick Okada vs Omega II at the 37 minute mark or so (before the Bullet Club comes out) you might actually enjoy it. From that point on is a very fun spotfest and you wouldn't have to endure the meaningless bullshit that was the first 2/3 of the match.

Current New Japan
Add Tanahashi facing Billy fucking Gunn (https://twitter.com/jaudiowrestling/status/874100231587090432) and the interest in those shows is getting lower by the minute for me. I hope the tournament is fun at least.

My god the first 40 minutes of Okada vs Omega were fucking horrible. Nothing happened (story wise, a whole bunch of moves and spots happened) and it felt like a fucking chore to watch. I really liked what they did after they teased throwing in the towel. But those first 2/3 of the match were way too fucking bad for the rest of the action to overcome it. It was another unnecessary long spotfest. Naito vs Tana on the other hand. Loved it.

Kevin Owens
I'm not sure being a top 10 talent in 1 company is something worth praise.

Yes to Shuji vs Miyahara. Didn't think much of the first half but the second one was pretty dope.

2017 MOTY Yes/No Thread
YES to Suzuki vs Kamitani 5/25. Not on the level of the Sekimoto and Okabayashi matches but this was still really entertaining to watch. It was a completely different type of match, as it should've been, with Kamitani doing everything in his power to avoid Hideki's superior ability taking over. Finish was sudden but it fit with what Suzuki's is going for with this title reign. He's having an outstanding year in Big Japan.

WWE Backlash 2017
Nakamura has always coasted though. That was always his "issue" in New Japan. When he had a big match he showed out but otherwise he just went through the motions. He's whole career he's been inconsistent as a performer.
