When was the last time WWE had a comedy match as entertaining as this one?
  3. YES to Dunne vs Bate.
  4. Wasn't Bret not a fan of the PG-13 content and fuckery the Attitude Era was bringing? How long does he stay with the company after putting Austin over?
  5. He should be back for Dominion ~ New Japan announced that Hiroshi Tanahashi has suffered a rupture to his right bicep tendon and will be out of action until the June 9 show at the Korakuen Hall. Satoshi Kojima will be replacing Tanahashi on the BOSJ tour shows. I hope he isn't rushing back, though it kinda looks like it.
  6. He was at the Nashville Predators playoff game. I think he was doing similar stuff to what Bryan was doing with the SF Giants.
  7. I'm with Johnny on this one, this thread is weird. Complaining about what other people complain about and then pretty much doing the same shit you are complaining about
  8. NOMINATING: Hideki Suzuki vs Yuji Okabayashi - BJW Endless Survivor 5/5/17 I really like this current Suzuki run against the Strong Heavyweight division. He brings a different dynamic to the matches and he's confident enough to look like a legit invader/ace. In this one he just obliterates Yuji's arm to limit his offense and it works. Okabayashi does a really good at selling - only 1 spot was iffy and it can be attributed to "fighting spirit" - it was like watching a wild beast trying to defeat a more intelligent opponent. Yokohama is tame as usual but I wasn't expecting anything different, the fact that they showed life for the last minutes shows the good job Hideki and Yuji did. The left plenty of room for a rematch so I hope we get to see it down the line. Now it's time for the young guns to step up to the plate, or at least that's what I hope, and that should be fun to watch.

  10. Misawa vs Bret is an interesting one. I'm not even sure how a match between both of them would've worked at their peaks but it would've been very interesting to see. Bryan Danielson vs Hiroshi Tanahashi (too early) Bryan Danielson vs Jerry Lawler (too late) Eddie Guerrero vs Terry Funk (too early, though it was still pretty damn good) Vader vs Hashimoto (see above)
  11. So do a lot of the people who vote in Observer polls. There were people who had those two matches pegged as the best of the night long before the matches actually happened and would have still voted that way if the two matches were god awful and Roman vs Braun (who finished 1 & 2 for most overrated in the year end awards) had been a 5* classic. Roman I get as his case has been talked about countless times. But I'm shocked about Braun. I know he didn't really reach full awesomeness till this year but even by November he was clearly getting better and showing signs he was very good and worth a push.
  12. I agree that it's pretty much the only metric we have left now that PPV buys and house show numbers mean pretty much nothing - unless, in the case of live events, attendance numbers drop or spike a significant amount - but I'm with CapitalTruth in the sense that it is given too much weight and comes off as a weak tool to ends a discussion in terms of drawing. Nowadays I'm more inclined to think we just don't know who is a real draw or not (unless, as I said before, numbers are undeniable better or worse than before). When the n°1 merch seller on the active roster is not the top seller in the entire company, I'm not sure how much of a feather in his cap that is or if it's worth a discussion about his "drawing power".

Saw that moment in the match and just started clapping. The guy just gets pro wrestling and I legitimately feel bad for him considering all this hate he gets. Someone of this talent deserves far more respect than he gets. Truly one of the best in-ring storytellers of our time and he has years to only get better. What did it for me was him not being able to scream "UAH!". He did the pose, a portion of the crowd screamed, and he sounded like his throat and lungs were fucking destroyed. It was brilliant.

Nah. It took Roman 5-7 minutes to mount his comeback and get the spear, but it wasn't enough, so he ended up getting destroyed. Super Cena ended matches in 1 minute or less spurts, this was anything but that.

That was as well done of a match as the angle that set it up. These two needs to be career long rivals
  16. To add to everything already said. NOAH didn't help matters when they didn't have tryouts for like a decade. And when they finally had one it was already too late. The roster was way too thin in terms of up and comers, and the midcard was filled with people that didn't really matter or Jr Heavyweights.
  17. My god the fuckery!
  18. Why did they chose a picture where Anderson looks like he's taking a shit?

RAW has Braun, Roman and nothing else.

    It's probably gonna be Dana.

SD gets Charlotte Owens New Day Enzo & Cass or Sheamus/Cesaro Sami or Rusev Jinder?

Braun should've been driving the ambulance. That would've been comedy gold.

They go to serious voices every time something important happens, that thing has lost all meaning.
