  1. Of course he did, he's a wrestling promoter. Him feeding the fanbase with rah rah stuff after WWE tried to damage them with NXT is something any promoter worth a damn would do. That doesn't mean they are gonna legit challenge WWE. Being a successful n°2 promotion is pretty damn impressive and from what I've gathered that's always been AEW's goal.
  2. To be fair, thinking AEW was going to legit challenge WWE would always end up in disappointment. I don't think that was ever the goal of the promotion anyway so not sure were that narrative is coming from.
  3. Man, if Taue can't even make it in as part of Holy Demon Army...
  4. Punk still has like 7 more months of recovery so there's no rush to solve that situation yet. If Ace got (rightfully) fired that should mean they have avoided litigation regarding that matter. Now, last time Punk spent time at home recovering he came back and torched the whole place in 3 weeks time so who knows if spending even more time at home will be better or worse
  5. There's tons of ways to work around Christian's time off. Making JB move on to other stuff and make Christian cost him a big match at Double Or Nothing 2023 to reignite the feud was right there too.
  6. This feud will go on forever and I will stop watching because of it.
  7. I think that's the whole point. He losses next week and either goes back to insecure Cowboy or gets some new development in his character.
  8. Would've been great to hear from THIS Hangman in the past 5 months instead of being on the sidelines doing filler shit and just showing up to job to Danielson and now Mox...
  9. I hope we get Swerve vs Darby soon somehow, that match could be incredible.
  10. I wonder what MJF is gonna say now, use the local team for cheap heat is his go to move (and I love it, btw). Also, good to hear such a fired up crowd again.
  11. I found something that interests me in Jericho vs Danielson: will Khan be enough of a mark to spend the stupid amount of money Europe asks to use Final Countdown this one time? It bothers me he booked himself in a stupid corner with this match. Jericho shouldn't lose the title this soon -and it seems the build up is for him to drop it to García eventually- but jobbing Danielson again to put a guy like Jericho over is so damn dumb. I'm interested in seeing PAC do his damnest to steal the show with OC. Also expect a ridiculous big reaction for Billy Gunn vs heel Swerve.
  12. Unless the 15 minute limit gives the match a defined and distinct feeling from everything else on the card, that belt is gonna become meaningless by year 2 when they ran out of interesting people to give the title to and it just becomes another filler match in cards.
  13. The truth, the Space broadcast was hilariously bad.
  14. Makes sense, the past few weeks Dynamite has felt like a backdoor pilot for ROH (I don't watch Rampage but from the card announcements it felt like that show was the ROH focused one for a while too). Tony usually promotes every latest development from AEW as it's biggest most important thing -as he should- so I don't know if his enthusiasm over having so much TV this week was him getting his promoter talk on, or if he indeed wants 5 hours of TV for his product. If he can't handle 3, I don't think he'll be able to handle 5 either, so I hope that if he gets what he wants, he finally get booking committee going. Then again, in the same interview he was proud about handling everything by himself...

I feel this whole Jericho run is for him to put García over. As much as I don't care about their feud, it seems clear that's the final goal.

I think Sammy has enough heat to put another guy over. Let him continue to be annoying, get Ws and then have Starks interrupt him, embarrass him on the mic and beat the fuck out of him in a match.

LOL. I gotta believe Sammy and Andrade only got into a shouting argument because there's now way Guevara was in a fight backstage and not only keep his spot in the main event, he also got to showcase and get the W. I know some folks are big fans of Jericho's run this year, and he indeed has had a lot of good matches in 2022, but I have no interest in another match with Dragon. Does García face Jericho at the PPV to unify the belts or does García costs Jericho his Ocho? I also have no interest in that match between them either (and neither does the crowd, it seems).

Well, DC did NOT want to see JB vs Luchasaurus. Barely reacted to Christian's tease.

Actually loved Mox's response to Hangman's challenge.

Seeing grown ass fans (30-40 year olds) going insane over scissoring is something else

Nah, keep Hobbs strong after the Starks feud.

Are there other hosses out there to copy this formula for Wardlow? dude could keep his momentum with 7 minute sprints against big opponents.

This AEW anniversary has been booked like an ROH special so far

Man, when the crowd goes quiet it feels like the building is fucking empty.
