Wrestlemania 37
Feeling bad for them having to improvise like that. MVP showed out, Drew? well he needed a moment, I guess.

WWE TV 04/05 - 04/11 Eden Hazard has gone missing since 2018 what happened to him
Interesting. Are international tours losing money too? I'd guess a couple of european, south american and australian tours would do well post COVID and if done yearly.

Brock Lesnar
Disagree. Those matches worked at the beginning because Brock had 1) An aura that Ryback never did. Even when was undefeated you never thought Ryback could break another wrestler in half if he really wanted to (shit, Ryback struggled with some feats of strength spots) nor create a sense of chaos like Brock 2) Brock's momentum towards those matches was pretty unique. He ended The Streak at Mania and then obliterated John Cena at Summerslam back to back. Then he wrecked havoc in the title match at the Rumble and then had that really special match with Reigns. That was what basically made WWE/Heyman think "suplex city" was the only way Lesnar could wrestle from that day forward. No fucking way a dude like Ryback would get in a position to not only be able to get that treatment but to have enough respect from the audience to make them work, even at 80% or whatever.

Tomohiro Ishii
Also, if they want a "miracle worker" case just watch his feud with Wataru Inoue. To this day I can't believe Ishii had me so damn invested in a nothing wrestler like Inoue.

Kazuchika Okada
I'm on the group of people that don't like him going so long when, as stated by Boss Rock, at the very least the first third of his matches are uninteresting (there's exceptions of course, like the ZBJ IWGP title match or the Shibata classic) and I become even more frustrated by them when Okada never fails to deliver in a finishing stretch. He might the best ever at building drama in a finishing sequence. So him in tighter matches with high stakes would probably have me in awe, instead of fast forwarding or being bored for 10-15 minutes in his long "epics". Doesn't help that I had completely soured on the New Japan main event style by the time the last vote happened and it hasn't gotten any better for my tastes. Having said that, this scrutiny comes from me putting him against the elite of the elite, n°1 candidates. And there's a ton of shit Okada excels at and he has a fuck ton of great performances to his resume so he's still gonna be in a good position in my ballot. We'll see how he does in the next 5 years. I hope this becomes one of the busiest threads this time around. I find Okada's case fascinating and he has to be one of the favorites to jump the highest in this new version of GWE. Really looking forward to debate and read people's opinion on him being possibly a n°1 candidate in the coming years.

Daniel Bryan
I also think his wXw match against Hero in the 16 Carat Gold Tournament from 2008 is in the shortlist of most underrated match of that decade. I've always pimped Bryan's performance during that whole tournament as a stand out of his career and that Hero match is coronation of it. Sure, wXw fans can be annoying as hell but those two put on a fucking clinic that day.

Brock Lesnar
Such an inconsistent case. Brock has really high highs and very low lows that mostly depend on how much he gave a shit when facing someone. He wasn't on my 100 last time, and I'm not sure he'll have enough from 2016 to 2026 to bump him in, maybe on a rewatch without having all the resent him I had for him for that horrible New Japan "run". I do wonder how his "suplex city" formula will be perceived in the coming years.

Yuji Okabayashi
I thought he lacked the singles run to push him in a ballot and I hadn't seen much of his 2013-16 work yet. By the time the vote was done Yuji we barely had a couple of his matches of his first run as BJW Strong Heavyweight champion. From the time we did the vote till today, Yuji has enough of a resume to be in "best wrestler on the planet" in almost every year he has worked (sadly we've lost him to injuries a couple of times). I'll eventually pimp his case with a whole bunch of recommendations (or add to what other people will be pimping). As of now, I'm just going to say the Okabayashi has a case for best wrestler of the 2010's. An incredible tag team worker (best tag team in the world with Sekimoto), an amazing fiery babyface, an amazing bully/monster heel, and every time he had the chance to have a singles matches, he took advantage of it. AND he has a couple of classics. Might get into my top 30, lock for top 50.

Ronda Rousey
Ronda is awesome but she has less footage than Volk Han at this point and she does not comes close to Volk Han in the limited footage we do have. I guess we'll see if she has more matches in the next 5 years. She certainly has the tools to be in my list eventually if she keeps her initial pace up.

Becky Lynch
I don't know if I'll end up deep diving in to her previous work but she has always been the least interesting worker out of the Sasha/Bailey/Charlotte/Becky group that put women's wrestling in a different light to mainstream WWE fans. I think Becky's been really good but never connected with me on a level were I want to seek out more from her or get that invested in her matches (were she's not working Sasha or Bailey). No chance of making my 100 unless I go back and realize I was missing "it", once I take into account her early work.

Daniel Bryan
Yeah, I found that puzzling. He has two contenders for best WM match ever in HHH and Kofi (two workers that would never sniff having that kind of match with another opponent) and has the Cena and Sheamus matches as strong candidates for a short list of "goat match". You then take some of his indy stuff and he certainly has signature matches to his name for a generation of fans that became fans in the 2000s. Regardless how people actually feel about those matches and if they are indeed "greatest of all time" material. I do think a big number of fans (and eventual voters) do put them at that level so the idea that he doesn't have signature matches to his name strikes me more as not realizing how his work is perceived or just taking in to consideration the WON/Torch/you-name-it narrative of what the best matches ever are. And in that regard, I don't think it will matter. To add to list some of you have already mentioned. I think a couple of his matches with Low Ki in 2001 are no doubt GOAT match list material. To me, the one from Round Robin Challenge is one of those.

WWE TV 04/05 - 04/11 Eden Hazard has gone missing since 2018 what happened to him
I don't think people will be unhappy with any of the three winning in night 2 to be honest. I guess if Edge wins by being "the ultimate opportunist" with a bullshit finish then there's going to be boos because the (most likely very fucking good) main event was cut by heel fuckery. But I don't know, I don't picture the crowd being upset about Roman retaining -that's actually the best outcome, imo- or Edge winning somewhat cleanly. I mean sure, Bryan getting the belt would get the biggest reaction of the three but it's not a WM 30 scenario were him not winning was inconceivably stupid.

Tomohiro Ishii
Is it safe to say Ishii is the heir to the Hansen method of wrestling, were a wrestler is so fucking good at the stuff he knows how to do that he doesn't need to change much of his approach no matter who his opponent is because it's going to translate in a dope match anyway?

@Grimmas @Loss For the nominations threads. What will be the limit on links for matches? I guess youtube and dailymotion are fair game. But what kind of stuff is better to not post in this board and just use other outlets to get the material out there?

Sasha Banks
This is gonna be a really interesting case. I think she no doubt has a legit argument for being in it this time around. Her highs are up there with anyone on the WWE roster from the same period and I think she's has the highest lows from the 2010's NXT/WWE women generation. I'm gonna be very curious if her having a decade working will work against her with voters thinking it's still too early to judge her as a more serious candidate (top 50, 30, 20, 10) or on the contrary, being in her peak, with so much exposure and being such a standout on WWE TV will have climb up in ranking. Also very interested in how much her influence will play a part in this process. I guess this is more of a broad question as I'm legit curious in how people will take into account that kind of stuff. I know there's already been discussions about promos and drawing, but Sasha is a key figure in a pretty damn big and important shift in WWE AND has the matches to back up her case. Anyways, she's fucking awesome. If she ends up going Hollywood I hope she is still able to get a couple of more runs, specially in other places, before 2026.

Daniel Bryan
Plus a Tiger Suplex. edit: that spot was always kind of a sign that maybe Bryan had more input than an usual Hunter opponent.

Daniel Bryan
Oh shit, you are right! Editing my post.

Yup, saw the list on cagematch and couldn't remember which ones were the most fun to watch...which I guess is kinda telling because i do remember all those matches I listed.

Daniel Bryan
There are a couple of rematches with Kofi from some house shows that are pretty good. They are on youtube. If we talking about TV, I'd say these are worth checking out. In bold are the "top tier" ones, imo. vs Buddy Murphy - Smackdown 20.08.2019 vs Adam Cole - Smackdown 1.11.2019 vs The Fiend - Rotal Rumble 2020 (this one feels more impressive when you know how abysmal The Fiend was in the ring) vs Drew Gulak - Elimination Chamber 2020 vs Drew Gulak - Smackdown 11.05.2020 vs AJ Styles - Smackdown 26.05.2020 w/ Roman Reigns vs Bludgeon Brothers - Hell In a Cell 2020 vs Jey Uso - Smackdwon 20.11.2020 Gauntlet match - Smackdown 08.01.2021 vs Cesaro - 15.01.2021 vs Jey Uso - Smackdown 05.03.2021 vs Roman Reigns - Fastlane 2021

That's always been my hurdle for getting into lucha. I'm south american and listening to the announcers is so off putting is legit hard for me to get into what's going on in the ring. They normally sound fake as fuck and a lot of them are worse than Michael Cole focusing on the most stupid stuff instead of helping tell the story or letting the ring action breathe and be the main thing. It's puzzling too because mexican announcers are incredible when it comes to sports in general, but somehow with wrestling it's a whole different thing. Where's the podcast btw?

I'm more curious on were the hell I'm gonna rate Hashimoto. Last time I put him 9 and he may not even crack top 25 this time around. And I fucking love Hash.

Oh, no doubt. We only had 5 years worth of Yuji last time. Now we gonna have like 12 (not counting the injury years, of course). He's a lock in my new list unless my tastes change completely by 2026.

I totally fell into the current worker (negative) bias for the 2016 project. I'm curious if that's still gonna be the case. There's gonna be 10 more years of footage for a lot of people that I was on the fence on. Last time I think I put AJ, Bryan, Cena, Tanahashi and Sekimoto, can't even remember if a rated Okada. Ishii has a great case to be top 50 at least in my book. He's one of my biggest regrets from my GWE top 100. He honestly could've been there just on the strength of his Wataru Inoue feud in 2009 but for some reason I just didn't put him there. And at this point his case is even stronger with too much incredible shit with too many different people not be there again.
