AJPW four pillars vs NJPW cornerstones
I think style is a huge thing in Okada vs Misawa. I for one grew tired of Okada's shtick like 3 years ago and find most of the first third/half of his matches pointless and boring - of course there are exceptions -, so him going 30+ minutes is always a sign I'll fast forward to the 12-15 minute mark. Misawa wasn't perfect on this regard too but I never found myself automatically doing that once I kinda knew how long the match was going to be. New Japan reached a point like late 2000's NOAH for me in the sense that I just keep feeling like most of the stuff done in the begging is boring filler. Now, what Okada is fucking incredible at is 2nd halfs and finishing sequences. To this day I still can't figure out how he's able to pull off contrived 10-13 minutes sequences full of reversals and false finishes and have me when I really don't like that kinda stuff in my wrestling anymore, when someone else does it I honestly get bummed out about a match. But Okada just knows how to fucking do them....are they better than Misawa's slow burned comebacks? That's a debate I'll love to read. I think I'm too attached to Misawa to not give him the nod but this is factor where I can totally see a case for the New Japan Ace. I don't think Okada has an uncanny ability to give his opponents their best match on their career either. Not saying Misawa had it (he didn't). It's kind of a non factor between the two, imo. Regarding the dropkick vs elbow. I just don't see it at all. I guess the dropkick is visually more stunning but that's pretty much it. As a transition move Misawa's elbow is unmatched - and I think Tanahashi kinda tried to use dragon screws and leg work as a similar tool in the early 2010s -, as a strike is incredibly vicious and sounds disgusting. Also, the elbow actually ended matches, and it gave a mega Ace like Misawa some HUGE Ws. Okada's dropkick resets the action and gets a pop...Misawa's elbow was a fucking weapon.

WWE TV 03/02 - 03/08 I know how to fix Bray Wyatt
I just hope Bryan and Gulak can get 10-12 minutes. I honestly think Bryan should just request a transfer to NXT after Mania. At this point that's where he'll get to work with a bunch of new guys for him and get not only the freedom that he clearly has right now in terms of programs/ideas, but also the time to develop them without the frenzy of Vince changing his mind every 2 days.

[2020-02-11-BJW] Daisuke Sekimoto & Kohei Sato vs Isami Kodaka & Yuko Miyamoto
I love it when deathmatch guys show they can have dope regular matches. The first 6 minutes or so are pretty standard tag action with both teams trying to isolate one opponent, with the smaller guy (Kodaka) ending up having to fight from beneath while the other two bully him. Once Miyamoto gets the hot tag this gets into a higher gear, Yuko pulls off some nice moves, makes things flow and transitions to the best part of the match: Yankee's trying to figure out how to beat Sekimoto. It's an awesome game of chess against a beast that leads to a pretty dramatic finishing stretch. LOVED Sato and Daisuke failing to pull off the double german suplex and the comeback Isami and Yuko mount to get us to end. This was really fucking fun, dope tag match more than worth a look. This show was fucking awesome btw.

WWE TV 2/24-3/1 Filling in for Brother KawadaSmile Edition
Seeing Cena be a pure fiery baby face with 100% of the crowd behind him was really dope. Him changing his mind as soon as he got challenged, without need of any physicality was funny as shit

WWE Royal Rumble 2020
Man, I don't envy Drew having his first bit title match being in front of a dead crowd after 6 hours (and 2 days) of wrestling overload. Unless he doesn't get the main event?

WWE Royal Rumble 2020
What does Monday Night Messiah even means btw? He turns the ratings into shit?
-
WWE Royal Rumble 2020
They can't be this stupid to NOT make Drew win after that elimination and playing off him staring Brock all match long right?
-
WWE Royal Rumble 2020
That was one hell of a bump by Brock on that Claymore.

WWE Royal Rumble 2020
Can Cain get in already so Brock doesn't get the elimination record?

WWE Royal Rumble 2020
At least we have their 2010 match. yeah, Kofi stomping his head multiple times is sure the safer route. Bryan can get a concussion over pretty much anything depending on how he works a match. Shit, I'm way more worried about him working Sheamus than Ishii.

WWE Royal Rumble 2020
No thanks. Him wrecking shit in Japan I can get behind though.

WWE TV 01/13 - 01/19 Adam Sandler got snubbed and that hack fraud DiCaprio got in.
When I thought Kawada couldn't had crazier takes than his WWE one he comes here and calls Di Caprio "Hollywood Ziggler". No amount of "bubbas" gonna save you from this one though

[2020-01-01-Zero1] Yuji Hino vs Yuji Okabayashi
Yuji Hino defends the ZERO1 World Heavyweight Title These two had my attention 1 minute in when they do a test of strength/struggle for control for an irish whip but to be honest, this has 7 minutes edited and even though it's only really noticeable once (at the very beginning after the irish wish spot), you can feel the match is kinda disjointed. The 17 minutes showed are a brutal hoss match though, it doesn't have all the nuances nor flow of Sekimoto vs Hino but it reaches an even higher level of viciousness - which is saying something - at first with an incredible chop battle, and then after Okabayashi busts Hino's eyelid open with a botched lariat...the receipts Hino dishes out after that shit are insane, and Okabayashi retaliates with no fucks given too, it's truly wild. Korakuen was weirdly tame, specially for a New Year's show. It's very much worth a watch, and again, if you are into heavy strikes and people trying to kill each other, this is pretty much right up your alley. But this lacked drama and I can't help but feel those missing 7 minutes could've helped give this more of a flow.
