WWE Summerslam 2019
That match wasn't very good imo, but it is true that Brock as put Seth over and bumped for him like he does for people he likes/respect.

WWE Summerslam 2019
That spot of Brock catching Seth and throwing him to the ring post would've been fucking awesome if Rollins had actually sold the ribs when he was doing his comeback.

WWE Summerslam 2019
Seems I'll check the main event as there's nothing else going on. Holy shit at the silence for Seth

NJPW G1 Climax 2019
I don't think Naito had to be an Ace, he just needed to get a legit title run. Not because New Japan needed for it's business, but because it would've freshened up the main event scene and taken advantage of how over he was (and business wise there was nothing to lose), and he could've put someone other than Okada over big. He could still get that run but it's gonna be 3 years later than when it should/could've happened, it's impossible not to criticize Gedo and New Japan for it.

NJPW G1 Climax 2019
Eh, I think it's fine as long as they make the right call and make Kota win tomorrow. To be honest, a legit feud between Naito and White is the most interesting thing both could do heading into WK 14.

That was awesome, thanks! @FMKK too

NXT Takeover: Toronto 2019
I haven't kept up with NXT in a long while, haven't even seen the last 2-3 Takeovers, so this is a legit honest question. What's the main difference between Asuka's reign and Shayna's? Asuka had the belt for almost double the time and she didn't even put anyone over for it, yet I don't remember reading half the complaints about her title run compared to Blazer. Which is saying something because there was a very vocal portion of the fanbase that really didn't like Asuka's last few months as champ. I loved reading this thread's reaction to Gargano/Cole. Bless all y'all putting up with that nonsense, specially because you knew what you knew exactly what kind of nonsense you were gonna get

NJPW G1 Climax 2019
Naito's case I think is worse because at least Nakamura was pushed as the main guy for quite a while. He just never had the gimmick/character work, nor was over enough to match his push. Then he went to Mexico and he finally had the complete package but he never got the main title again. Naito got a 2 month transitional reign and that's it, that's really fucked up considering he's more over and more of a draw than Nakamura ever was. What's funny is that if for some miracle Naito actually wins this G-1, it would also feel like Ibushi got Naito'd this time around

NXT Takeover: Toronto 2019
Over/Under for ridiculous kickouts in Cole vs Gargano? 4.5? I can only imagine the 45 minute "epic" they are gonna to come up with Shawn Michaels as their agent

NJPW G1 Climax 2019
Ibushi vs Okada drawing well was expected considering how protected that matchup is, but still, gotta point out how impressive is selling 9.6k tickets for night 1 of the triple header they've been doing in Tokyo the last five years. They did 50% more than Okada vs Tanahashi last year and more than 2,000 than the previous "record" for night 1 (Naito vs Tana at Sumo Hall in 17, which sold out the "small" set up they use). This once again confirms how massive an Ibushi challenge at the Dome would be. Poor Naito, man.

Man, I'm suck and tired of Bryan cutting this fire ass promos that never make TV.

[2019-07-30-BJW] Yuji Okabayashi & Daichi Hashimoto & Hideyoshi Kamitani vs Takuya Nomura & Fuminori Abe & Kohei Sato
I'm still pissed off at not being able to watch the Osaka show, but holy shit this was fucking AWESOME way better than their match a couple of weeks prior - which was mainly a good build up to Nomura vs Okabayashi - as this one had everyone fully involved and doing compelling stuff. For the most part it was the Fuminori Abe show, my dude is just fucking great at being a little cunt motherfucker be strutting, interfering, doing sneaky shit on the apron, kicking and slapping the shit out of his seniors, he had the most unconventional and compelling face in peril segment I've seen in a long ass time. Give this man a raise and an award. Other stuff to love was Nomura and Yuji still beefing, Nomura's counters and kicking the shit out of each other with Daichi, Kamitani showing fire for days against Sato, and Nomura & Abe being best buddies till eternity. This is legit a MOTYC for me (I realize I tend to overhype these matches, but this was sooo much fun), it's 17 minutes of pure action, stiff strikes and disrespect. And when you put that formula with wrestlers like these and in Korakuen Hall, you always strike gold

Who is a better in ring performer?
I'm surprised that a lot of people in this thread are going this way or throwing out an equal. Before GWE I would've bet that Kobashi was going to end up higher than Misawa but he ended up 4 spots and a lot of points behind him. I haven't really thought about people revisiting All Japan since the GWE project so I was expecting more people voting for Misawa (who I still put ahead of Kobashi by some margin).

Who is a better in ring performer?
Consider it for what? And Jumbo never develops the style that lead to Misawa and the other pillars without Choshu showing up in All Japan...

So when is Summerslam? Like, do we find out this week is Bryan is in a program with Reigns because he wanted to kill him? or is the reveal gonna happen next week?

WWE TV 07/29 - 08/04 Hey whatever this country is broken
I was impressed by Seth's reactions early last year. I was watching very sporadically but dude was, at that time, more over than anyone else that I saw. I thought that maybe he was finally about to have a Jeff Hardy 2.0 type run as a babyface. Rollins first run on top as a heel in 2015 (?) was the thing that made me stop watching weekly for good - very few things since then have made go back to watching more than 2-3 weeks in a row -, never really thought dude was good enough to be a top guy but I thought hey, if the crowd loves the guy so much, then go for it and give him a green light push. But then I saw his match at Summerslam against Dolph and realized that the crowd wasn't there for him at all, eventually turned on the match and dude handled it like a spoiled brat. And that was that I do agree that RAW didn't have many more options than him for Mania once Braun was cooled off to death. The argument then would be "why not try for real with other people in the 2nd half of 18'?" but my guess is that by that point everyone knew that WWE booking couldn't pull off something like that. You basically need a Daniel Bryan type forcing them to give new people shots and making them legit threats/stars to the point that they have no other shot, and RAW didn't have anyone that could do that.
-
Who is a better in ring performer?
I put Bryan at 15 for the GWE project. I think he definitely gets to top 10 if I'd ever do that sort of list again. I had Jumbo 5 and I'd put him a little lower next time, I think they'd be a nice 7-8 combo. But who knows, if Bryan gets another run like last November-April, he's gonna creep in that top 5 territory.
