WWE TV 07/15 - 07/21 Flipping burgers to become Ambassador
But there is no Bischoff regime it's not being reported that he has no imput on creative. It seems Ward is back to being the head of SD pitching stuff to Vince. From another site quoting (supposedly) WON I think it's for the better tbh.

Yup, that was as awkward and "meh" as expected. Can we get to D-Bry's promo soon please?

WWE TV 07/15 - 07/21 Flipping burgers to become Ambassador
- It was believed that new WWE SmackDown Executive Director Eric Bischoff would begin working his new behind-the-scenes role beginning with tonight's post-Extreme Rules edition of the show, but Dave Meltzer reported on F4Wonline.com that Bischoff is not backstage for tonight's SmackDown episode from Worcester, MA.

From Observer Radio The more things change... I do think you are pushing this Heyman thing way too soon just because some people hoped on the "HE TOOK OVER ALLRIGHT" bandwagon after 1 RAW that was received positively.

Agreed, give us Gulak vs Bryan.

WWE TV 07/15 - 07/21 Flipping burgers to become Ambassador
Maybe, but if they really following up his promo It seems he's aiming for a "place" (psychical or symbolical) more than a specific person/wrestler.

WWE TV 07/15 - 07/21 Flipping burgers to become Ambassador
Following up that awesome fucking promo after losing the tag titles, WWE is now advertising a "career altering" announcement by Bryan tonight. I wonder if it's just comedy fuckery or he decided he wants to go to 205 Live or NXT (so he can do whatever the fuck he wants and not depend on Vince hands on booking). I hope he doesn't announce he'll now be a "hardcore wrestler" or something

WWE TV 07/08 - 07/14 Copa America was a romp and a half but the National Team still sucks
I haven't been watching but I'm curious about the "no wrestling during commercial breaks" thing and the reaction it has gotten. I know it's not the same but I wonder if the fans that have been wanting the return of squash matches and less marquee matchups on free TV to save them for big shows and build shit up on RAW/SD also hate this new format.

Current New Japan
It just baffles me that they count on fly ins when they don't even care about hyping the show and promoting it to them. Oh well, the Hammerstein show should be dope though, I hope they book a couple of interesting matchups.

Current New Japan
Official attendance was 4,846. The really haven't learned shit in the last 2 years about how to promote their shows in the US. This did even worse than the Cow Palace show with a waaay stronger card, main difference was they had Cody vs Omega as the main event that was able to draw more people regardless of non existent/shitty promotion.

NJPW G1 Climax 2019
Yeah, that wasn't the MOTYC I was expecting but it was still pretty damn good. KENTA from 2013 is back I guess. I hope he gets to work shorter matches though, he's better suited for 12-15 minutes than 20+.

NJPW G1 Climax 2019
Finish was awesome but that was a weird match, so much stalling and nothing happened for close to 10 minutes. Kinda disappointed tbh.

NJPW G1 Climax 2019
Ospray makes me feel like and old grumpy dude yelling at clouds most of the time. It was a fun bombfest but I doubt I'll remember anything about it in two days, oh well.

NJPW G1 Climax 2019
I'm loving this crowd so far, might not be the biggest attendance but they are into everything, no annoying chants and they sound loud as fuck. This tag match is fun as fuck.

NJPW G1 Climax 2019
HGH KENTA has me hyped up. I just need him to be an asshole, unleash vicious kicks and stay healthy as long as possible. The Ibushi match should be awesome, it's 13 years in the making.

Current New Japan
Night 1 of the G-1 is this weekend and it completely caught me off guard. I also read that tickets sales have been poor, to the point they are running a small set up (7k or so), I have no clue how legit those claims are but I feel like once again New Japan did a fucking horrible job promoting this show. For the Cow Palace last year they didn't do anything to promote the show even though they had The Elite guys and for this show they didn't do much even though it has a very big card with big matches.

WWE TV 7/1 - 7/7 The Return of the Return of Heyman and Bischoff
It makes sense though, as the young fans that were brought by Cena grew older they got at best, a very mediocre product year after year (at worst, unwatchable stuff for any non hardcore fan). The young fans of the Attitude Era got a product that resonated with them and stuck with them until today, it's not surprise that the "PG Era" (or whatever we might call it) wasn't able to do the same. The legendary moments and angles that make a fan a lifer were very few during Cena's run - not because of him, of course -, and the few that happened were killed in quick fashion by horrible booking.

Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff named to Executive Positions in WWE
Yeah, after the reaction the news got putting them on TV is very much a Vince move. Which again goes to show that nothing is gonna change much in the grand scheme of things. I wonder if they just rehash that horrible "we are hearing you, this will change!" McMahon centric promo from early in the year

Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff named to Executive Positions in WWE
I hate being that guy, because this has nothing to do with this thread but I guess I can't help myself. The bold is more than double than the actual number (137k) which was still an estimate. Closest comparison was Anderson Silva's first fight in Brazil on a 16k arena (estimated demand of 150k tickets). Which again, nobody is denying the power of the number and the crazy demand AEW has right now. But comparing it to any Wrestlemania ever is just weird. Demand for a 60 to 80k building for a traditional yearly show will probably not have the same frantic sale as a 10k building, were you know you have way less chances of getting a seat. And you have to consider technology too, you seriously think that a WMIII to VI or WM 16 to 18 wouldn't have had crazy high demand on a 15k arena with online sales? Wrestlemania 21 at Staples Center sold out in under a minute and that was coming out of a boom period .

Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff named to Executive Positions in WWE
Dave's been doing some weird comparison's lately. From Young Bucks selling more merch in 6 months than the Rock N Rolls in their whole career (which proved a point no one was trying to make or argue), to a whacky Omega and Sting drawing comparison and now this. I'm not sure how you can compare demand for a 10,000 seat show to an 60-80k stadium, I'm not sure what that proves either. Besides the fact that AEW has an obvious big demand right now, which again, I'm not sure who was arguing against that point.

Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff named to Executive Positions in WWE
Sure, he could've been promised that but we all know who Vince works. Eventually he'll be trying to get full control even if Heyman and Bischoff were promised he wouldn't. And to be honest, both of those guys are old enough and worked enough with Cokeboy to know no matter what is promised/said/signed with him, he'll revert back to what he wants to do/think is right.

Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff named to Executive Positions in WWE
The Alliance won the war! In all honesty, Bischoff in charge of the FOX debut boggles my mind. What's the over/under for Heyman's tenure? 6 months?
