I guess you have to grade wrestling acting on a curve. Lana was doing some of the worst stuff I've ever seen so it's hardly a flattering comparison. In terms of soapy drama, I guess Bliss and Bray are doing slightly better than Seth and Aliyah Mysterio. I've no problem with soapy stuff - Otis/Mandy was good while it lasted - but WWE's execution of it most of the time is the dirt worst. Alexa's had moments in the past where she did the character stuff great and she hits a better sister Abigale than Bray does. That KO segment though? All the staring into space? Hilariously bad.

The praise and deep analyse of The Fiend stuff is so strange to me. Alexa's 'acting' is hilariously bad.

Obviously, it's all on Vince at the end of the day. There's definitely been an increase in bad, dated tropes since Bruce's return though, with loads of cartoon gimmicks and comedy from 90s kids tv. Shorty G, King Corbin, dog food, The Viking Prophets and all that. His return last February also coincided with the hot women's division falling off a cliff. Then there's the bickering tag partners, the endless rematches, the feuds that go on forever. The chronic inability to build a hot heel. It's got lazier than ever since his return.

Heel Roman is electric. Imagine if these idiots did this five years ago.

Really not feeling Drew vs Randy anymore. Maybe they'll deliver a entertaining match, but both have cooled off a lot in the last few weeks and it's all a bit boring.

300 of the most hardcore of hardcore fans popping for a big surprise is hardly a measure of success is it? I've seen far more negative than positive response to the angle, from big AEW and Rusev fans too. The Dark Order thing was no doubt a misfire. But unlike them, Miro actually has main event upside and he got off to the worst possible start.

You should develop characters before you cram them into angles. AEW have a bad habit of sticking guy in stories before they've told us who the hell the are and why we should care. That's the big flaw with this Elite angle. Sure, I bet there's built in history from Japan or BTE or whatever. But for a Dynamite viewer like me? They told me hardly anything about The Elite before this drawn-out split began. Unfortunately it looks like they're about to do the same with the Lucha Bros too.

Eh? FTR signed months ago. Rusev is a bigger name no matter how you look at it. As bad as the wedding stuff was it was the main event angle on Raw for months. Fair enough if you found it funny but the segment was a mess. Meta stuff is fine when it's worked into an established story. But this? It's ripping off a bad angle with another bad angle for the sake of laughs, and not much more thought was put into it. I mean, what's Miro's relationship with Kip and where the hell did it come from? Why is he cutting a babyface promo? Who the hell is Puff? Why are we suddenly supposed to care about whatever Kip Sabian is doing when he's been a complete non-entity since the start of Dynamite? It's like they wanted to be meta, funny and 'smart' and forgot about making it make sense. I'm not sure if its the worst segment in AEW history but it's easily their biggest misfire.
