[1998-06-22-WWF-Raw] Dustin Rhodes vs X-Pac
Dustin Rhodes vs X-Pac - WWF RAW 6/22/98 Best in ring RAW so far this was another goodie. Great sprint from two midcard workhorses. Weird babyface/heel dynamics keep this from being very good. Pac is a dick to Dustin early and gets some nice offense. Then the Born Again Dustin crotches X-Pac nice continuity from the HHH match, but weird Dustin needed heel transition spot. Then it feels like a comeback with him playing to the crowd for the bulldog. Chyna trips and Dustin turns the other cheek and eats the spin kick. Great mechanical work but narrative needed work. Dustin wants post match handshake and X-Pac tells him to Suck It! Perfect! ***

[1998-06-22-WWF-Raw] Ken Shamrock vs Mark Henry
Ken Shamrock vs Mark Henry - RAW 6/22/98 It is official Mark Henry was legitimately as soon as 1998. Best TV match of this run save for Funk/Foley. Henry's offense was intense crisp and energetic. Great power offense. Great work in out of the bear hug. Henry's weeble wobble selling to set up the Rana to take him off his feet for a nice pop. Shammy was pretty good in this. Vader body attack on outside. Shammy hits belly 2 belly to win. Henry feels like the heir to Blackwell in this. ***

[1998-06-15-WWF-Raw] Ken Shamrock & Dan Severn vs Owen Hart & Mark Henry
Ken Shamrock & Dan Severn vs Owen Hart & Mark Henry -RAW 6/15/98 On paper this looks awesome and it is pretty fun for time period. Shamrock & Owen are the highlights. I really liked Shameock's intensity in exacting revenge. Great sequence is the ankle lock attempt into an Owen enziguiri. Mark Henry was super fun in 98 and bumped well for Severn. Owen punts Severn in balls. But missile drop kicks Henry. Shamrock hot tag is stopped by a sharpshooter counter to a Rana. Then the midcard (DX, Nation and Vader) come out for a big brawl. A refreshing straight tag match in a sea of brawls.

[1998-06-15-WWF-Raw] DX Dropping Knowledge
HHH vs X-Pac X-Pac gets little heat when he comes out. Typical Kliq match lots of hard work, little downtime and bumping their asses off. They are just running their spots with no story but their work is good. Rick distracts and Owen slams X Pac on the railing nuts first. X Pac sells this really well, pleading with HHH to get in so they both don't get counted out. X Pac selling really sells the unfairness of the situation and HHH feels bad for his friend. Good angle.

[1998-06-08-WWF-Raw] Steve Austin and Vince McMahon
Very funny! Austin just wearing a black tie around his usual vest and jorts leads to a great exchange about if Vince is color blind. The two speakers throw Vince under the bus and it is pretty funny. They both say Stone Cold is their favorite wrestler. Then not to be outdone Vince gets the line of the night your attempts at humor are only exceeded by my generosity. Kane and Mankind attack Austin in a great way to end RAW.

[1998-06-08-WWF-Raw] Dustin Rhodes vs Val Venis
Dustin Rhodes vs Val Venis - WWF RAW 6/8/98 Did Val Venis get a voice transplant? He sounds like an imbecile here. Doesn't have Hello Ladies down at all. Dustin looked great here. Offense was crisp. He sold and bumped for Venis well. Venis has officially become a low rent Rude but at least he has a character now. He is great at the hip swivel. Dustin could have been pushed as an opponent for Shammy, Rocky and HHH and really helped them. Too bad. He looks so good in this. Taker rampage continues.

[1998-06-08-WWF-Raw] Sable video
When JR introduced this video I thought he said the retarded Sable and I died laughing. I rewound and realized he said departed. Horrible video, but Sable is wicked hot, one of my childhood crushes so I don't mind looking at her.

[1998-06-08-WWF-Raw] Vader vs Mark Henry
Vader vs Mark Henry - WWF RAW 6/8/98 This had all the makings of a great hoss battle built around body slams and trash talk. Mark Henry hoisting, holding and slamming Vader was an amazing visual! Taker was on a rampage looking for Vince after being screwed outbid the Number One contender ship. So Taker lays out both Wish we got a legit match between these two.

[1998-06-08-WWF-Raw] DX in New York
This is the best DX has been. Funny shit. They go back to Indian accent one too many times. The promo with LOD and Harris twins is pretty funny. I don't think I had ever the Harris twins speak holy shit they are unintelligible. At one point six people have microphones and HHH asks how many mica the WWF which gotta pop outta me.

[1998-06-01-WWF-Raw] The Undertaker vs Kane
Vince wonders if Undertaker has been around too long in 1998!!!! LOL! Got another 18 years and counting Vince. Decent match. Really back n forth. Austin and McMahon are great on commentary. Taker looks to have the match won but here's Mankind! I wonder what his intentions are? Impress the boss? In cahoots with Pail Bearer? Kane wins. I love Kane as the next challenger. Big pun fall victories over Vader and Taker sets him up for Austin. WWF only has four main eventers compared to the dozen WCW has but using them beautifully and making their encounters mean something!

[1998-06-01-WWF-Raw] Mick Foley and Vince McMahon
FANTASTIC SEGMENT!!! Best of the year that I've seen. Should be considered a classic. Vince gives perhaps the greatest singular heel performance in history. Totally gripping. Vince also gave the best damn voiceover performance to start this RAW narrating the events of Over The Edge!

[1998-06-01-WWF-Raw] The Undertaker and Vince McMahon
Great segment! Didn't think Taker was whiny at all. He feels Vince has taken advantage of his loyalty and well now it is time for Taker to get his. Vince is great in this. Not as great as in the Foley segment but that is once in a lifetime. The Is your mother a whore line is great. JR said it best he is brazen now in a way he never was before.

[1998-05-31-WWF-Over The Edge] WWF Honors Mad Dog Vachon and Da Crusher
I was not expecting this in the middle of an Attitude Era PPV but this was a nice treat for me and the Milwaukee crowd. Crusher was super over and there was even a Crusher chant! He got to Bolo Punch Lawler and hit with Mad Dog's fake leg. Perfect use of Lawler and great segment

[1998-05-31-WWF-Over The Edge] Vader vs Kane (Mask vs Mask)
Vader vs Sheamus...drools This started off as a pretty good hoss sprint. I thought Kane actually brought it to Vader but you have to. I like the two Vader Body attacks leading to a zombie sit up. Finish was good wrench revenge by Vader to missed moonsault to the Tombstone. Never seen fat piece of shit. Sad. JR tries to spin as positive but Vader never recovers.

[1998-05-31-WWF-Over The Edge] Bradshaw & Taka Michinoku vs Dick Togo & Mens Teioh & Shoichi Funaki
Bradshaw & Taka Michinoku vs Kaientai - WWF Over The Edge 1998 This was super fun! Kaientai fleeing everytime Bradshaw enter the ring was great psychology and entertaining. The M-Pro guys doing there was awesome and led to a great heat segment. Kaientai were such douches it really amped you up for the Bradshaw hot tag. That hot tag was glorious. The size differential, Bradshaw steamrolling muthafuckas and the triple teaming leading to an M-Pro was all classic. Michinoku Driver, but save. Senton wins it for Kaientai. Really enjoyable and good psychology and great M-Pro action. ***1/2

[1998-05-25-WWF-Raw] Steve Austin vs The Undertaker
I disagree Chad because the arrest follow up was so good. I like that Taker choke slammed Vince establishes he will be with Austin. I agree that Dude should have gotten one more over on Austin. Kane had detained Taker so Dude taking out Austin two weeks in a row would have helped. Minor point.

[1998-05-25-WWF-Raw] DX at the airport
Wow! I'm a Kliq mark and I hated this, but you both loved it. I'm pretty shocked. Super unfunny and the payoff with the sky writing was so lame.

[1998-05-25-WWF-Raw] The Rock vs HHH
I have been loving these RAWs but DX is by far the worst part of these shows. Ok, DOA is worse but DX is right there. That top Gun bs was so wicked lame. Rock looked better than HHH here. Very back n forth. No real sense of urgency. HHH no fire and his comeback with a face buster is lame. Is this beginning of Sexual Chocolate and his love for Chyna? This felt like a 2016 match just with less workrate.

Digging in the Crates #6
That All Japan 2001 tag is fucking awesome! The part where Araya comes in and immediately gets punched in the head and starts bleeding is one of all-time favorite moments in wrestling. I had this in my top 100 for Japan in 2000s. Nice to see it spotlighted.

[1998-05-25-WWF-Raw] The Oddities
Besides the skinhead, biker DOA working a chump switcheroo gimmick in their feud with LOD, this has been the worst thing so far in this two month run of TV. Really, really bad.
