WWE Extreme Rules 2016
That goes into the "Biggest Fib of Kayfabe" thread. That and Flair "never hitting" a move from the top rope.

WWE TV, May 16th - May 22nd
With all the times Meltzer has been played in recent years, wouldn't surprise me if he thinks that about everyhing, even if there are official documents and everything.

I know that, but at some point he had to realize that it was a go-nowhere gimmick. It seems like staying as Stardust probably led to him burning out since WWE obviously didn't have any further plans for the character. Why is it a "go-nowhere gimmick"? I don't really understand what that means. It doesn't seem like any more of a "go-nowhere gimmick" than zombie mortician. Zombie mortician though morphed into a medieval bad ass, satan worshipper, biker, and finally back to medieval bad ass with some cowboy gunslinger and MMA fighter tweaks to the look.

IIRC, Edge is not under a WWE performer contract. They even made a line about his contract lapsing when he cut a promo on Cena before Cena-Brock at Extreme Rules.

Steve Lombardi has been released.
Depends on the nature of the release. A bad breakup can lead to the need to grind the axe for a fuck you bridge burning shoot.

Place to Be Podcast Thread
Pulling a Schmauch, but the tag battle royal with D'Lo and Henry as a team at 14 was on the main card. Still a vaild point that 10 years with the company and his lone 'Mania experience is an early career curtain jerking battle royal!

Where the Big Boys Play #83 - Halloween Havoc 92
Biggest waste of Turner/WCW money is still Lanny Poffo's contract to seemingly fornicate at home for many years. I think it runs from Savage's debut through the day they close the doors. Also "Because Keith said it" is why I've never believed the idea that the "Blue Blazer" was booked to win the IC at OTE '99. -The spot that killed Owen was planned to be a comedic beat where Blazer would slip on a banana peel to start the match. -I'd much prefer to believe the angle was leading to Owen Hart coming out of kayfabed retirement (which is why the Blazer was running around) to defend the Blazer's honor either at Raw the next night, or challenge Godfather at the next PPV to win the belt then, as Owen Hart. Neither here nor there for Halloween Havoc '92, but one of those "Scott Keith-isms" I've seen over the years that has been repeated by others.

Did WWE stop any chance of a competitor by accident with bad booking?
Didn't TNA try that route for years with just about every former WWE star that became available through the years?

WWE TV May 2-May 8
Love the automatic reaction is "is X on the outs?" Could easily be scheduling conflict, Mick testing the "guest interviewing" podcast waters, etc.

Okay, I'm wrong, turns out its a stunt by the woman. He probably assumed it wasn't going to go as viral as it did and was a gag for her. http://www.cagesideseats.com/wwe/2016/4/19/11459992/roman-reigns-drinking-smark-tears-new-favorite-wrestling-meme

If he's going heel or even tweener, yes it's great. If he's staying babyface (and the stubbornness of the last two years suggest he probably is) then it's stupid since it's just actively pissing off the most vocal portion of your fanbase and working against the supposed goal of making him the #1 good guy. Crybabies are going to cry regardless, who cares? And I'm wondering how ANYONE thinks that's a real cup in that photo? Or that Reigns would legitimately use a cup like that at a convention auto session table in the first place? Or ANYONE to use something that wasn't provided for by the people running the tables? Ok then if it's photoshop why is he posing for the picture like that in the first place? My guess, it wasn't a pose, its a camera that is going quickly as he's quickly sipping before setting for the pic. Its not the actual picture the fan wanted.

It looks like something they'd do for the JBL & Cole YouTube show. Hey, maybe this is why they stopped that show! Good fooder though for RiffTrax style podcasts about bad movies.

I'm sure Cawthon's MSG book will be heavily referenced!

Wrestling's most shameless, most glorious exaggerations
They talk about Lita as a "former WWE Women's Champion" while she's presenting the belt, and then turn around and say "Charlotte is the first ever WWE Women's Champion!" They've had a Women's Champion for like all but six years of their entire company history. Maybe key word is "Heayweight?"

Horror stories in women's wrestling history
I'd agree, but a devil's advocate would say, despite all the cancer and enlarged heart issues reports, PED users would probably point to them being marijuana like (which also can be prescribed and used medically) in terms of not something can kill you via an overdose. Its more the long term effects that will get you in the end, as opposed to recreational drugs like coke, herion and even alcohol.

And when they are both heels at the moment!

WWE Network... It's Here
The only one I know is "hiding" Benoit related segments.

Wrestle Mania 32... Live As It Happens
Wowsers. At first I thought it was akin to a team getting swept at home, in a final game blowout in a finals/World Series. "Well, that's that. Let's get outta here."

Wrestle Mania 32... Live As It Happens
I wonder how this affects Total Divas then?

WWE Network... It's Here
Granted its less than 24 hours at this point, but Freebird is still on the On Demand version of last night's ceremony. Surprised that either they got the rights somehow, or no one edited the segment for On Demand yet.

2016 WWE Hall of Fame
Which is why I speculated that its part of why the WON Hall voting masses tend to shy away from The Stinger when less...stringent shall we say Hall voting electorates aren't so caught up in that sort of discussions about candidates. Since there isn't a ton of subjective numbers in wrestling, and even then you can argue how unimportant they truly are in determining HOF worthiness (Wins and losses, titles won, etc), its easier to latch on to "well, he didn't love the business" and somehow connect the dots with some of the candidate's faults. I.e. with Sting its usually he wasn't a draw, while you could argue that he was still way over despite not putting fannies in the seats and eyeballs in front of the set, one could use his lack of passion for the business as a knock on his drive to be a better company ace. IDK, grasping at straws with the Sting WON Hall debate.
