1983 Beginning Rosters
Ok, just wanted to confirm that Ole was off the available list.

1983 Beginning Rosters
Kris, does that mean you get Ole? I'm compiling my list of personnel and I had a question about Hugo Savinovich. At this time he was the English language commentator for the English speaking markets, does that mean I should include him on my announcer roster (even though he is also serving as manager)?

Draft discussion, analysis and trash talk
If we can pick a singles from a team, why not two out of three? Alright, just wanted to confirm.

Draft & ongoing booking project interest?
I would prefer that also, but we would all need to be consistent.

Can he just take two of the three Freebirds? I thought it had to be all three.

Just to be clear, the calendar we're using is 2015 and not 1983? So July 1 in our fantasy booking is on a Wednesday, not on a Friday? http://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/?year=1983&country=1 I want to make sure so that there is consistency on what days are Saturdays and Sundays for our booking purposes. Although to get the 1983 calendar just add two days (so if it's Monday this year, it's Wednesday in 1983).

That's a sneaky good pick JHawk.

Draft discussion, analysis and trash talk
I was surprised to see the top two picks be tag teams, although I understand the reasoning behind them. Good picks so far, I suspected that Rick Martel was going to be Grimmas' pick. As for me, I had settled on Slaughter as my first choice before the draft started and hoped he would survive until my turn. Slaughter in Puerto Rico is going to be interesting.

1983 Draft Thread
For our first pick (and 8th overall), WWC selects Sgt. Slaughter. KrisZ (GCW) is next to pick.

1983 Tentative Rosters
Mystery solved! I was looking at the D's and that's what caused the confusion.

1983 Tentative Rosters
Don't worry, you can pick him late because nobody wants him. No kidding, Parv didn't even include him in the master list he made in the draft tracking thread. That's what threw me off and caused me to ask.

Oh man, don't I feel foolish. Pay no attention to the confused man behind the curtain.

Is Don Muraco active at this time? I don't see him on the list.

Can you ask him who the owner is?

Agree. Should I leave Valois or Brito as the owner? Or should it be someone else?

Draft & ongoing booking project interest?
I propose just designating one person per company as owner, preferably the less active wrestler of the ones listed. I think this is the most fair to everyone. I do have some doubts about who would be the designated Montreal owner though. This would be the owner for each company that we would get: Georgia Championship Wrestling - Jim Barnett, Jim Crockett Promotions - Jim Crockett Jr. World Class Championship Wrestling - Fritz von Erich Portland Wrestling - Don Owen Mid South Wrestling - Bill Watts Memphis Wrestling - Jerry Jarrett International Championship Wrestling - Angelo Poffo American Wrestling Association - Verne Gagne World Wrestling Association - Dick the Bruiser World Wrestling Federation - Vince McMahon Maple Leaf Wrestling - One of the Tunneys World Wrestling Council - Victor Jovica South Eastern - Ron Fuller Championship Wrestling from Florida - Eddie Graham South Western - Joe Blanchard Montreal - Frank Valois or Gino Brito? Central States - Bob Geigel Stampede - Stu Hart All Star Wrestling - Al Tomko Does this seem fair to everyone?

Good idea! If anyone wants to jump in this is one way to do so.

Draft & ongoing booking project interest?
Kiniski was around but I think it was all Tomko then. Monsoon was still active in WWC at this time but not for long. Race was in Central States as part owner. Thanks Kris! So, what do we do finally do about owners then?

Kiniski was around but I think it was all Tomko then. Monsoon was still active in WWC at this time but not for long. Race was in Central States as part owner. One thing that we gotta talk about is St. Louis & Houston......they were controlled by Central States & Mid-South but both brought in lots of outside talent too. Toronto also would fall into that group in terms of having JCP supply the talent for the shows, although we already have Grimmas in charge there. There's three options: 1 - Have Central States and Mid-South be in charge of those areas. 2 - Find someone to run each of these areas. 3 - Ignore them for the moment.

Is this accurate as an owner list? Georgia Championship Wrestling - Jim Barnett, Jack & Jerry Brisco, Ole Anderson Jim Crockett Promotions - Jim Crockett Jr. World Class Championship Wrestling - Fritz von Erich Portland Wrestling - Don Owen Mid South Wrestling - Bill Watts Memphis Wrestling - Jerry Jarrett, Jerry Lawler International Championship Wrestling - Angelo Poffo American Wrestling Association - Verne Gagne World Wrestling Association - Dick the Bruiser, Wilbur Snyder? World Wrestling Federation - Vince McMahon Maple Leaf Wrestling - Was Frank Tunney still alive or had it already passed to Jack & Eddie Tunney? World Wrestling Council - Victor Jovica, Carlos Colon, Was Gorilla Monsoon still active as owner? South Eastern - Ron Fuller Championship Wrestling from Florida - Eddie Graham South Western - Joe Blanchard Montreal - Frank Valois, Andre the Giant?, Gino Brito, Dino Bravo Central States - Bob Geigel Stampede - Stu Hart All Star Wrestling - Al Tomko, Was Gene Kiniski still around at this time?

1983 Rulebook
Who knows, come 1984 it may be you absorbing Parv's roster.

Draft & ongoing booking project interest?
Hash this out now. El Boricua has a question about saves and owners. We have 5 hours to straighten this out. The discussion when I asked about Carlos Colon's status as owner was that it was thought to be too much of an advantage to get Carlos Colon as owner + a save pick. To avoid causing too much of an issue and derailing the process further, I used my save pick on Carlos (although the subject of who qualified as an owner for each territory has not yet been made clear). We do need to make a list of owners since there are people (Al Tomko, Dick the Bruiser, etc.) that would not be available in the draft due to this.

Minis and women's are also freelancers and not draftable? Yes, women and minis should also be freelancers, although we were thinking of making them separate touring troupes from the brute squad. Should we compile a list of women and minis available at this time?

Alright! Don't forget to post the final list of available wrestlers, freelancers and saved/unavailable picks.
