[1990-12-29-WWF-Superstars] Interview: Sgt. Slaughter
I still get a little skeezed out by this stuff. But, it does have teeth, unlike that Hassan stuff back in '05 or the Zeb Colter shit of today. There is legitimate, pure hatred by the people here. So, if you are gonna wallow in bad taste, go whole hog, I say. I can only imagine what the sheets were saying about this stuff.

If you look closely at the poster, it clearly has Lawler's handwriting on it.

[1990-12-16-NWA Starrcade '90] Sting vs Black Scorpion (Cage)
Count me in as another one who thought it was the other two members of PowerTeam USA. I NEVER once, even remotely, snowballs chance in Hell thought for one second that it was the Ultimate Warrior. Never even occured to me. It sure SEEMED like Ole was implying it though. I hope they didnt pay a lot for that spaceship. There's a sentence I dont write everyday. Its obvious to the folks there at the old Kiel, as "whoo"s and chants of "Nature Boy" go up almost instantly. Flair tries his damndest to disguise himself but its just a lost cause. A for effort though. Tell me Flair wasnt a team player and I'll call "bullshit". I kinda enjoyed Ross having a fit at the announcers desk, seemingly giving time cues, trying to alert everyone that time is rapidly running out and lets get this shit over with. Dick the Bruiser grimmaces like he always did and pretty much stayed out of the way. Dick was my great grampas favorite wrestler. Gramps once (and Im not shitting here at all) stabbed a heel in the throat with his umbrella once. I think it was Ivan Koloff just from what Ive been able to piece together but not sure.

[1990-11-21-NWA-Clash of the Champions XIII] Sid Vicious vs The Nightstalker
I dont think this is anywhere near the Worst Match of All Time but it is pretty rotten. Been sitting here thinking if its worse than Abby - Zeus. The latter has that "why is this happening" quality that negates it's abundant horribleness. However, Abby - Zeus just wouldnt end. This match here with Sid and Nightstalker was much shorter (I figure Hughes was sent out early because they knew this thing was going nowhere). Sadly though, the Steroid Musclehead phase would continue for a little while after this debacle. You'd think after seeing this fiasco, that trend would have at least cooled off but it didnt. It was a frightening time for the wrestling fan. It looked like matches like these, with the huge immobile human action figures would be the flavor of the day, if not the entire decade. Truthfully, I think that if the Feds hadnt cracked down on Vince, that era would have never ended.
