[1992-08-29-USWA-TV] Interview: Jimmy Hart / Interview: Jerry Lawler & Jeff Jarrett
Mr. Fuji was still, I guess, manager of the Orient Express. As you'll see as the working agreement moves along, continuity between heel/face, manager stables or much of anything really didn't really matter to them. Neither manager appeared in Memphis that night. Paul did double duty that particular night. He wrestled Barry Horowitz there in Memphis as "The Rocketeer", trying out what would later become Max Moon.

[1992-08-29-USWA-TV] Interview: Jimmy Hart / Interview: Jerry Lawler & Jeff Jarrett
The Orient Express were the WWF stars that came in that Monday night. Corey Macklin during the match commentary had no idea of the name Kato and just referred to him as "big guy".

[1992-NAWA] Interview: Tazmaniac & Boston Bad Boy
No, this was an indy based out of Mt. Vernon, New York run by Tony Capone. It lasted six weeks on Sports Channel but did feature the return of (kind of) national TV of Craig DeGeorge, the debut of Joey Styles plus the Lightning Kid. It was perfectly okay.

[1995-05-15-WWF-Raw] Interview: Bob Backlund
He'd fit right in with the Republican presidential candidate freakshow for 2016. Get Mr. Backlund up there for those debates! I bet he'd do hindu squats while screaming at Chris Christie.

Have you seen the cover of Dundee's book? Well, then picture that on each side of the car along with website & phone number to be used for "booking information".

Vader debuts a moonsault. Biloxi shits its collective pants. That's the only takeaway I have of this one.

[1993-05-23-WCW-Slamboree] Flair for the Gold: The Four Horsemen
Boy, did that crowd just deflate or what? Not only when Flair does that "little bad news" bit but then when Roma comes out? A collective "oy" comes out of the audience. Just bad stuff here from jump.

Bullshit promotional tactics aside, the match itself was really good.

[1992-05-17-WCW-Wrestle War '92] Brian Pillman vs Tom Zenk
Jesse opines that the winner of this one is the first man who cheats. I don't think either guy did anything illegal. Did Pillman shake hands at the end of this one? If he did, I missed it. You'd figure that was a guarantee but, unless I'm mistaken, Pillman just splits. Kind of a heel move there.

[1993-01-24-WWF-Royal Rumble] Bobby Heenan and The Narcissist
I first saw this on USWA TV when Lex made his appearance there. With my cable company at the time, sometimes we got the pay per views. Sometimes not. The Royal Rumble 1993 was one of those nots. Anyway, this whole deal gave me a "Dr. Frankenfurter unveils Rocky in 'Rocky Horror'" vibe. If Lex broke out into "Sword of Damacles", I'd have shit.

[1992-11-07-USWA-TV] Jerry Lawler vs Todd Champion / Interview: Jerry Lawler / The Moondogs vignette
Just to clear some stuff up. The phantom title change was Todd defeating Butch Reed in Cleveland. According to the WON from those days, the WWF sent Todd down to get some seasoning before a possible run. Of course, we never saw Champion ever in WWF so that shows just how impressed they were. I'm rather surprised Todd lasted that long down there since the pay couldn't have been that great, if not downright piddly (We've all heard of some of the horror stories of guys starving, sleeping in their cars etc). The Moondogs house tour had kind of a Texas Chainsaw Massacre vibe to it. Well, Richard Lee took the door falling off a lot better than The Cook did.
