Some of this stuff Hart was saying really seemed to strike a nerve with the King. I wont get into this whole spiel again (look at the Dr. Lawler post in 1990) but after about 7 years of being referred to as cheap-ass, Kmart wrestling after owning these towns not 7 years prior, this is some intense stuff.

It actually sounded more like someone, maybe Lawler, doing a Tommy Rich impression during the phone call portion.

Jeff had been using "Simply Irresistible" for his entrance music since like 1989 (replacing "Dreams" by Van Hagar) so we were used to that.

I'm from the Jarrett territory, so there are tons of questions I could ask. Some of them stupid ("how were you able to tell Rough from Ready?"). One of my favorite parts of their show was the music videos. Which were his favorites and were there some that just made him groan?

I'm rather surprised that the leaked Mania Main Event script story hasn't gotten any traction.

Craig popped into Memphis for the tournament later in the year and for the TV show prior to it. He also did some ESPN tv tapings held in Louisville and Nashville when it looked like Pediceno was going to buy the USWA. Other than those times, Craig never spent any time in Memphis. We ended up with Cory Macklin instead. I still wonder what we all did, USWA fans, to deserve that.

Randy Savage from ICW. Actually any new found ICW or Memphis footage. Someone somewhere has to have WMC full shows from the late 80s. I cant believe that nobody back then in the Memphis market didn't tape those shows.

They knew we didn't get WMC. The booking of the weekly house shows was a repeat of the main stuff on the Memphis cards a week prior. With the same angles, same title changes, the same whole deal. If you were perceptive enough to catch that, it kind of sucked. Most knew but didn't care. In fact, I know one time on the Louisville show, they showed footage of the actual match in Louisville with the Memphis commentary and it synched up pretty much the same. As far as Eddie mumbling something incomprehensible, well, that was Eddie. He was hard to understand sometimes.
