Anna Jay and Brandi had a match far better than it had any right to be. I would have put over Jay clean though, without needing any Dark Order interference or eating a visual pinfall

Both funny and sad that they are finally booking Roman in all the right ways right when the promotion is at its nadir in popularity and basically irredeemable

I thought Suzuki-Ishii was comfortably better than Tana-Naito. Tana's style has never really worked for me and while I think people are too harsh on Naito in respect of his decline, there's no doubt he is not as good as he used to be. Someone who has really grown on me is Jay White. I was not a fan at all when he won the world title last year, but he has steadily improved and has become a great wrestler. He also is one of the few heels in pro wrestling who incorporates heel mannerisms throughout his matches. It does mean a lot of Gedo shenanigans which quickly become tiring, but his matches still remain enjoyable. Him snatching the ice pack from the ref after the match and applying it on his own neck was hilarious

Covid breaks out in NXT but the nonces don't get affected by it. There truly is no God

Yeah I actually thought the match was really good and one of the better AEW women's matches we have seen altho that's not much of a compliment. There were times when the match felt it would spiral out of control but Ivelisse ultimately put in a good performance in a good match I thought. It helps that both Rosa and Ivelisse are very charismatic, particularly Rosa whose physical charisma is ridiculous, so maybe I missed things I would have ordinarily noticed.

Dustin hitting Code Reds and Canadian Destroyers is my least favourite thing about him, but I popped when they teased the destroyer but he hit the piledriver instead. It was a good holy shit spot that got me biting on the nearfall. The match was all kinds of awesome.

Yeah, as I said before, ths problem was not the promo as much as the fact that he debuted in a terrible WWE-esque wedding segment that might be the worst segment AEW has ever done. When Pillman Jr. and the jobbers were doing their sorry shtick, I was reminded of the Mick Foley this is your life segment for John Cena that was so famously terrible Cena actually said on air that it was worse than Katie Vick. He debuts as part of a joke angle with a complete dork, for some reason cuts a really serious promo for 30 seconds, and then goes back to doing awful comedy again. None of it ended up meaning anything imo. It doesn't mean I am no longer excited for Miro in AEW, but it was a lame way of debuting him.
